A Demon Lord’s Tale: Dungeons, Monster Girls, and Heartwarming Bliss novel is a popular light novel covering Action, Adventure, and Comedy genres. Written by the Author Ryuryu. 537 chapters have been translated and translations of other chapters are in progress.

Summary

One day, I woke up only find out that I’d become a Demon Lord, an individual responsible for protecting a dungeon. The world I’d been spirited away to was one filled with violence. Gigantic monsters wandered through it and competed with each other each and every day for the right to survive. I had no choice but to strengthen my dungeon’s defenses in hopes of living another day—or at least that was what I’d thought. For some odd reason, I instead ended up spending my days in relaxation and bliss.

This is Yuki’s story, my story. It tells the tale of how I spent my days after settling down in a dungeon with a self indulgent, “supreme” dragon girl and a young vampire.

I believe it is only implied that it happens. And only fairly late into the story at that. There isn't anything onscreen (that I've seen, at least.)

I don't believe so. However, there is a very good manga that is fairly easily accessible. Personally, this is one of my favorite series, so I'd recommend giving it a go. Even with the Harem tag.

I'll give this novel bonus points for all the MH references as a 10+ year vet of the series I love seeing it brought up. But that makes sense because in Japan atleast MH is on par with things like pokemon in popularity. As for this Novel I find it quite wholesome and I enjoy it and it's references of course...

This is a really nice slice of life, lots of ''hearwarming'' scenes of pure chaotic everyday enjoyment. The battles are nicely written, although there is a certain lack of tension from the writing style. And the story progression is great. 8/10. Just be careful with the side stories, they appear randomly and cut the plot for a chapter.
