A Saint Who Was Adopted by the Grand Duke novel is a popular light novel covering Drama, Fantasy, and Romance genres. Written by the Author Songiba. 117 chapters have been translated and translations of other chapters are in progress.

Summary

I was forced to live in captivity for the rest of my life because I happened to be aware of the fact that I was a saint. I was truly a ‘real’ saint, but that didn’t matter, because there was already a designated saint in the temple.

When I died from all the abuse I endured, I was sent back to a time before all those previous events in my life had happened. After 15 regressions, I was exhausted. I prayed, “I don’t want anything to do with this, so please just let me die,”

And at that moment when I could finally be able to die, someone said, “How about being my daughter?”

…. That monstrous duke had adopted me.

If you see reverse harem positively then you can imagine them living happily knowing everyone is family but God that's pretty f*ck*d up when you don't know who's child it is 💀💀

We needed to show a little more of her life before she gets adopted. Cause her inferiority / persecution complex REALLY comes off like she's just doing it on purpose. Like it comes to a point of such absurdity that Im starting to question if most of the poor treatment she received at the temple wasn't just self inflicted. Also so far her brothers act like they are like 9 years old. I would buy them being her younger brothers but old school nobles would act way more mature than this, since even modern 12 year olds wouldn't act this childish.

I am just gonna put my response here to GaryGary because I like to point out my reasons. . . . GaryGary: Reverse harem isnt disgusting though??? Most of the time the harem members in those stories have distinguishing features (for example hair color). So unless the author for some reason decides to give the kids the same hair color as the fml. Then theres no reason as to why "knowing who the father is" would be a problem. This is all coming from a dude btw, so if you've got a problem with reverse harem. . . . . . What you're stating is hypothetical, wouldn't that suggest that the fl should get a husband with different hair to be able to distinguish who is the son/daughter? What if the fl is in love with two men who have the same hair? Also, if you include the fl hair color, then it will get more confusing to differentiate the children because if they inherit the mother's hair color, then there will be no way to distinguish them easily. And yeh, it’s a personal preference.

??? I don't get it. What are you even arguing for? I'm not even going to do the 'both sides bad' in terms of harem because that's been said and done. Lineage is an absolutely massive problem, especially for royalty who rule by blood. If they have the same color hair, that would make things even more complicated. Whos child is it? Whos child does it belong to, the crown prince or the butler? Just say you enjoy the novel rather than trying to argue what they're doing makes sense.

That's why I said it's personal preference, I can never enjoy a novel that doesn't make sense.

I just can't imagine me ever raising a kid I'm not even sure is actually mine while watching my wife makeout with her third husband. Harems in general are f*ck*d but a reverse harem sounds actually f*ck*ng horrifying. Anyways, adding more love interests for the sake of spurring on the main love interest to confess is insanely lazy writing, especially when the main focus of a novel like this is on romance. Just shows the author is at a literary deadend and doesn't know how to develope a beautiful romance.

How would a one woman many men harem be any different from a one man many women harem?

I kind of already answered this but I'll go into more detail. In a world where DNA tests aren't real, how the hell do you know if you're raising your own child or raising someone else's? It's easy for the woman to dismiss this concern or not even think of it at all because she always knows it is her child. The father on the other hand, can't be certain of it at all. The child is like a catalyst to bring a father and mother together and if you find out that it was someone else who stole that from you, there's no way you wouldn't be extremely p*ss*d. That is the difference.

They are in a group relationship. It doesn't matter who's kid it is, what do you think in a harem the other moms/dads just ignore the children that aren't directly theirs?

Bruh, yeah that's exactly what they do. Idk how many more times I can say this but they are royalty, meaning they rule by blood? You really think they can just get rid of a couple hundred year old system with the power of love and friendship?

That's not what you were complaining about, you were complaining about how the parents feel emotionally. If you're worried about social status the mother as the head of the harem is the only one that matters since people in a harem subordinate themselves to the head.

Chapter 55~ This novel so far is quite cliché I would say. The plot in it's structure quite resembles a setting where reincarnated MC FL would be some kind of villain that would die accidentally or otherwise for eg. Ravienne. to the MC FL. That doesn't mean that it is bad however it is not the greatest it could be. 7.5/10

The reason why reverse harem is disgusting is that the female can get pregnant and doesn't know who the father is. At least with males, you'll know who the father is regardless of how many females he has fked

Who cares? If you're in a harem your social status is beneath the woman's so it only matters that the child is hers.

Seriously tho, there are male readers who read novels with female protags? Cuz I can't f*ck*ng stand novels with female protags. Especially the ones that have the title 'Taming the...' What are you taming, fam? People tame animals, bru!!! That's one of the reasons I'm not reading novels with FPs, the other is the reverse harem, it's so disgusting, f*ck*ng simp male leads.

As a heterosexual male, I hit that Josei tag a lot more than what is probably healthy... I've gotten to where I can predict all the 'plot twists' and drama... I don't have a problem you have a problem!

you do realise that most harems centered around a male protag have the female leads simping in the exact same way, and that this is a specific genre that focuses on a love story and aristocratic conflicts rather than combat?

You need to go to the synagogue, H*tl*r. (For those of you who don't know what synagogue means, it's basically the church for Jewish people).

Ive read the translation up to 117 on other sites. Its a solid series with good themes. I look forward to the translation finishing. Essentially, the protagonist is the Saint who has been captures, chained, and bled for her power. Her captor is a fraudulent Saint, daughter of a powerful mobke family, who has used her influence over the church to keep all this under wraps. The protagonist finally managed to commit suicide only to return to her childhood. She is once again a saint candidate and must now escape the authority of the church. Honestly my favorite part is the MC utter hatred for the church. She literally wants burn it to the ground.
