Evanessa watched from the corner of her eye as Beatrice made her way across the red carpet, whilst being escorted by the Crown Prince.

Through a vortex of confusion, Beatrice’s distinct features entered her vision.

Long hair that was dyed in a gradation of sunset hues and scarlet eyes. Skin so fine that it seemed like it might crumble at a touch.

If Evanessa could be called a pure beauty, then Beatrice could only be called a glamorous beauty. Seeing her in person gave off a completely different feeling compared to seeing her in a smartphone illustration. She felt like she had just spotted a famous celebrity from real life.

On top of that, a different system message upset her composure.

A weird expression briefly flashed over the Emperor’s face, before he nodded his head.

Evanessa dragged Daniel, who was gormlessly staring at Beatrice, away and headed towards a remote corner of the banquet. The center of attention was now transfixed on the Crown Prince and Lady Beatrice.

Nearly everyone was staring at the couple with curious eyes.

“Now then, Sir Kirillian. I hope that you have a good time. Something urgent has come up, so I’ll leave you here.”

“Y-Yes? Saintess?”

Daniel, after nodding unintentionally, turned his head towards her with rounded eyes. However, Evanessa had already walked some distance away.

Leaving her partner, Daniel, behind, Evanessa was headed to a table near the terrace that was laden with finger foods. As everyone was looking at the Crown Prince and Lady Beatrice, she quietly made her way through the crowd like an unseen wind.

“Geez, I’m hungry.”

From leaving the church up to this moment, she hadn’t been able to eat anything. Her churning stomach had been letting her body know that it was hungry for a while now.

‘I’ll just grab some of this and go out onto the terrace.’

Although Evanessa wanted to eat a proper meal, all she could see were desserts. With swift movements, she quickly piled some onto her plate.

When she took a testing bite, the sweet taste captivated the tip of her tongue.

‘Wow. What’s with this flavor.’

Evanessa set her sights on having a lovely time with these desserts.

After dazedly staring from a distance at the sight of Evanessa gorging herself on pudding, Daniel had to quickly bite his lips. Even with that, he couldn’t stop a small chuckle from leaking out.

The nearby young ladies stared at the secretly laughing Daniel as their faces blushed. Daniel was currently vying with the Crown Prince for the number 1 and 2 positions in the young ladies’ list of the most eligible bachelor.
