does Er Gen's amnesia act up in this novel again, like giving the mc a lot of heaven-defying techniques and treasures only to forget to use it and neft mc at every chance possible? i've read two of his works already and sh*ts like this happen quite frequently which annoys me a lot 'cause it ruins the already excellent story

Well… That was a wild ride. It’s definitely a solid novel if you ignore the repetitiveness of some arcs and chapters. The ending leaves a lot to be desired but since it doesn’t make a choice, it allows you to make your own head canon. Did he go back or did he stay? Who knows, that’s up to you…. Also the character progression… they admittedly don’t change very much but god damn does it hit hard when it happens. Like geez, almost every talented character that isn’t friends with the MC gets a bad end. Either someone close to them dies, they realize they’re just outgunned and quit altogether, or they just lose their passion for cultivating and stopped. Even the MC aura couldn’t save a dude from depression. It’s quite sad honestly, as it’s happened to me and my childhood friends. So youthful, proud and bright we were. Yet time whittled us down to mold us, whether you survived and became a greater person or failed and became a shell of your former self was up to you.

Gee, I didn’t really expect the author to kill off characters you’ve known since the beginning of the novel. Like dude, you made almost 800 chapters pure funny and then you pull out a “Zhou (forgot her first name lmao) died on a mission” and then “big black dog who raped his master died whilst protecting his master” and finally… “your sister died a hero… but she actually died like 560 chapters ago but I think it would be better if I told you a lie because while it may be a lie, I would want you to have fond memories of her” Then author writes shit like “me and Zhou (forgot her last name) loved each other but neither of us told our true feelings” just to make it hurt 10x more. DUUUUDDEEEE WHYYY, I was grinning for almost the entire novel and then you make me tear up.

Is this one of those ''luck'' based stories with plenty of plot point driven events? And does it have brainless enemies that are relentless and extreme to MC for no reason? I would like to read a more realistic and logical storyline. Fantasy is great, but a** pulls are not lol.
