It’s not that his execution wasn’t perfect, it can’t even stand 30 seconds worth of scrutiny. If I, the reader, can identify major plot holes in the story, it’s much worse than not perfect. QUOTED The emotional payoff is completely destroyed by just how poorly written the arc was. Why couldn’t they beat the wolves at literally any point? How were the 5 of them able to keep their consciousness when none of the others did? Why did Travis not go out himself and instead kept sending squads out? Why did the people somehow think the 254th squad would be the one to fix it? There’s no way you can convince me that Julien was the deciding factor when Aurelia was quite literally stated to have mastered the curse element.

A lot of the questions were actually answered. 1. The wolves wouldn't attack them because they are dead. All of them. They won't defeat the wolves because they are too weak to do it. [Not 'they' actually. It's the little girl. She's the necromancer. Everyone else is just a puppet and her focus is the dragon so she can't fight] 2. None kept their consciousness beside the girl to some extent. It was all imagination by Julien. He used the second leaf on them to see how they were when alive but they actually were all dead. 3. Aurelia was keeping the dragon sealed so she couldn't do anything. She's also dead. Barely keeping consciousness. 4. The Travis kept remaining in the city because of the promise he made. You know some people turn crazy in situations such as these.

This is just trying to justify the plotholes For example You are saying that all the citizens of that city were idiots and they all entertained this madness for 30 years instead of asking the central for help. 5-6 yr could have been believable but 30 years!? And the reason that was given is what, revenge! That might be true for some (those would be buffoons, that are continuing on name of revenge, when it's clear that they are just sending more people to death) but all the citizens. And all the knights, professors and cadedds that came to the city behaved like it's normal, sending people to their deaths just to pursue the revenge for 30 years. I'm sure, the captain won't even be get punished for committing indirect murder of so many people. I had to go read lotm circle of inevitabilty to get my braincells back

It's not like he doesn't have a point to some extent I'm just clarifying some of the things he deems as plotholes cus there are some which is fine Most novels have them

But still writing isn't as bad as he is explaining. It's like everyone can't write like cuttlefish.

I gave the novel a 7 out of 10. Thats pretty d*mn high which shows i enjoy it alot. The only problem is I wish the author planned out some of the arcs a lot more.

Plot holes like the first years have tons of events that always go wrong around them all the time and yet the school sends out a sh*tty professor whos barely stronger than the cadests. LIKE IF YOUR STUDENTS KEEP GETTING ATTACKED SEND AT LEAST A TIER 7 WHICH WE KNOW THE ACADEMY HAS LOTS ON ITS JUST SOOOOO STUPID. THE WHOLE CLASS WOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED 20 TIMES IM NOT JOKING IF JULIEN WASNT THERE. LIKE WTF

I saw your other replies, I feel like it's useless to reply to you, every 'plothole' you mention was explained by the author and you are stubborn on proving your no sense. It's not like they can give f*ck*ng Delilah to protect them all time, it's a dangerous world itself and Julien is always around danger because he is 'special' and attracts many powerful beings. If it's not your genre then just leave, no point in wasting your time, as it's obvious that you are not reading but just skimming through without putting any effort in actually understanding.

They literally said in the novel that the teachers are assigned based on the year they are in The first year have the lowest grade professors while the professors of higher years are higher ranked And as far as i remember the professors are stronger than the students by at least two tiers

As far as I'm aware The necromancer arc was the only arc where teacher was tier 5 Tree arc had people at tier 7 Same was for the cult arc Also there's nothing that states there are a lot of tier 7 professors

The guy does have a point. The academy is absolutely useless and can’t protect the students, and also takes no steps to actively protect the students besides senidng a weak professor. And this when the students keep getting attacked
