So there are 3 major points in people's negative comments and reviews and I'm gonna clear your misunderstanding : 1- this is a harem novel yes there is a tag so why would you give this 1 or 2 stars reviews for being a harem. At first Mc just love one girl and he doesn't like any of his companion in a romantic way and it takes time for him to accept the concept of harem and this is with the help of his first wife/girlfriend. 2- people don't like how Mc is Ruthless and rude to almost everyone 😒 if you were suddenly Transported in Another world then got betrayed by one of your friends and now you have to survive at the depth of a Dungeon for a long time can you be the same person and be kind to others if yes then you have a serious problem . 3- they say 1st arc was amazing but after that everything went downhill, it's not correct actually , it's just if the 1st arc is a 9/10 then 2nd arc is a 8/10 and after that it goes up and down . ☆☆ it's better to read it's Light novel it has a great translation and with illustrations within chapters . 😁👋

I don't know what problems the others here have. This is by far my favorite light novel (light novel = Japanese novel). The MC is ruthless and pretty much to everyone at the beginning. But he undergoes an interesting character development. Although it's Harem, it's not overly forced so. He gets to know some and already knows others, but they don't come all at once. It's a very good read imo. I read the novel and manga, and I also watched the anime. : )

. . . this novel is kind of men wet dream with harem while act as edge lord with 8th grade syndrome and Let say heroines in this novel lack of brain (all of them)and his rival kind of hyprocrite and frustrated however the world itself is interesting and there adventure journey kind of fun. . . So i give it 3 stars well there ton of thing that i want to skip while reading but i didn't cause my habit so It like eat nodel with ton of soup and few meat. You can get full but frustrated with the wasted.

The first volume is actually pretty decent, a somewhat typical revenge story about a guy who’s at the end of his rope, cling to life despite the odds, fighting his way to freedom and a better life while gaining interesting abilities along the way and dreaming of getting back at those who put him into this position. Then the second volume begins and the series nosedives faster than a Japanese kamikaze bomber at Pearl Harbor

I will write this review to counter those who put 1 star just because of harem, him being ruthless, or because of some religion bs. Just because it's not according to your beliefs doesn't mean it's bad. It's literally in another world. Things such as harem/age gap/killing are something insignificant if there's literally a god that can and is willing to wipe out humanity. The heck do you expect. I'm okay if you criticize the plot or something. But rating this bad just because it counters your beliefs? Heck no. If y'all are gonna act like that then it's better if you just read the books that is approved by your religion and never read anything other than those. The world doesn't work purely according to your religion's beliefs. Learn how to be open minded.

Quite good, but the story gets diluted in the harem/op protagonist bs. Side stories can be repetitive and unfunny, But the arc where the family visits Tortus is kanda good

I have read a lot of wn but truly speaking, this is my favourite of them all. The story is perfect for me and the journey in the main story was fun. Even the after story is still awesome and made me want to read it more. Overall, glad for the effort that the writer has done.

I have watched Anime since the 70's. Being dyslexic makes reading a challenge. Ranma 1/2 was the first Manga I ever read, High School of the Dead, is the 2nd, there is no third. Arifureta is the Only LN/WN I have ever read, and am so glad I have. I am going to take this review in a different way, then most.
I have no idea if this was the writers intent but he addresses PTSD in a new way. Yue states, I want Hajime to be surrounded by people that love him. Hajime and his companions going through trials that test thier loyalty and they always come out above and beyond.
Society looks at a hareem in a negative way and degrading to women. But why is it degrading for people to love someone so complete. But the truth is Combat PTSD is so out there, no one has ever been able to really help these people for thousands of years. The band Shinedown, addressed this in their last album and author Brandon Sanderson is also addressing it in a new light.
The author has created a place where the MC is allowed to be the man, survive and be loved unquestionably by his friends. Let's be honest all, if Yue, Shia, Tio and Shizuku can not bring your mind back... nothing can.
Semper Fi, to all my brothers out there.

Also: the author actually addresses the morals of our world because it takes Hajime a lot of time to accept that loving and desiring more than one person - Yue - is ok. I don’t understand how people overlook this. He really has a hard time with the harem concept, that’s why it take so long till he actually touches Shea. He is 17 and he acts like a 17 with ptsd. I love it.

The first arc is good but the rest is meh
The main character is so overpowered that the majority of foes can’t even give him a Fight. But if you like a op mc you can give it a go
