Summary

Shu Shi has been the villain in the book from time to time and had to play by the plot in order to become the protagonist in another book.

According to the plot, he must eventually die under the heroine’s sword.

When he was about to die, Zhan Qingchen stood up with her sword and asked him what his last words were.

Looking at the indifferent beautiful face, Shu Shi, who was lying in a pool of blood, was timid.

He pulled Zhan Qingchen down hard and gave her a forced kiss!

“This is the last time we meet anyway!”

Shu Shi closed his eyes in satisfaction.

Zhan Qingchen hated men so much and now her chastity had been taken away! This kiss was the best revenge for his nemesis!

After this he would be reincarnated and become the real ‘Favored son of heavens!’

But what Shu Shi did not expect was that Zhan Qingchen actually used the treasure to save him from the gates of death!

Now that they were sitting in silence, the atmosphere had become extremely awkward.

Zhan Qingchen: “Explain, why did you kiss me?”

Su Shi: “…”

This gets pretty boring after the 1st protagonist is killed. Is like the author has no sense at all . Just writing no plot

I reported it for the admin to see. Next time, write it in the development section for general suggestions and in the report section for a specific existing novel.

You know, this is one of those novels that I hoped wasnt a harem. I really liked the start of the novel as it could've been a tried but still cool concept of a misunderstanding "I'm evil but actually really nice" trope with the added concept of a devoted man in love. This would've been a really good cultivation romance novel if not just a decent one if it actually stuck with it, sadly it goes on to introduce as many side characters with jade like beauties as there are islands in the Philippines. Even more unfortunate is that it's really mediocre story wise, extremely cliche and full of contradictions as the author seems to forget his whole novel was even based around the false evil trope. Also as of the latest chapter, the mc now has 6 love interests.

I agree, i was looking past the awful translations because it felt unique and interesting... now it's just another of the "I didn't mean to confess to my teacher" type of novel, literally. Both mcs are "evil", both have a cultivation given by the system so they don't have to, both give talent to their maids. It is the exact novel.

Just a cheap copy of another novel There are many other novels like this one in the website this novel has publish. It starts to gets bad after the 60+ chapters because all the author did in the past was copy and now he has no original ideas. Even his original ideas are full of clique and tropes. Hey, don't give up on the novel just yet. Try reading some chapters and see if it gets you to read more then decide if it's good or not.

Oh right, Mother of Learning is also a great entry point like Lord of the Mysteries. An easy read on its own, and of higher quality than some other fun but not substantial stuff like Legendary Mechanic (author is great at planning, but goes too hard on praising MC), The Tutorial is Too Hard, FFF-Class Trashhero. All of them are quite readable imo, unlike the completely not self-aware Author's POV or Beginning of the End series. Even Solo Leveling is more readable than those 2.

(part 3 on APOV) Put together, it's fairly solid once the early chapters' language choices gets an editorial view. However, the problem is that I don't understand how such a mediocre performance gets rank 1 on this website. For the same reason McDonalds, KFC are so popular, I suppose.

I don't think you read very far in either of those 2 novels considering their anything but mediocre if there's 1 thing lighnovelpub readers are good at it's giving an accurate review on novels (obviously there are some exceptions but every rule or take has exceptions) so the only reason I can see you finding those 2 novels mediocre is if you were either overhyped on them which would have been based on later chapters and dropped due to disappointment or if you're a newish novel reader who didn't know what to expect and got confused. Of course its also possible you just didn't like them cause there just not your style but if that's the case I doubt you would have even reviewed them. If I'm just misunderstanding this situation please tell me.

(8-10 part 2) In the greater picture of things, those 2 novels are the novels' version of fast food and junk food. I've been binging novels for 15 years and has been reading light novels for 3 years. I enjoyed the fast food, but I also cringed at it in equal parts. I've said the exact reasons. We can move on, unless you would like to recommend some other novels and see what else we've read that's in common.

So it was just my misunderstanding then my bad, as for recommendations "Academy’s Undercover Professor", "Trash of the Count's Family", "Kidnapped Dragons" and "The Villain Wants to Live" are my personal favorites no idea if you would like them but you can give it a shot if you want. There's also "Second Life Ranker" if you want to read a novel similarish to "solo leveling" you can find it here under the name "Ranker Who Lives Twice".

I've told you exactly how many chapters of each I've read, so you didn't read what I've said before replying. How does that make you qualified to make a reply or critique? Unlike you, I read every single word that is out before making a final judgement. I don't get overhyped and drop the novel. I finish what's available then read more patreon/privilege or by reading in the original language, then I go back to shit on it, giving my own informed opinions. I'll take it if you say that I cleared out TBATE 9 months ago but haven't gone back, and therefore I'm not up to date. My reply is that I'm going off the hype for TBATE from 9 months ago as well. I didn't touch the community afterwards. So the hype at that time 9 months ago was not justified. Maybe TBATE MC stopped thinking with his dick in the last 9 months.

A tad aggressive but understandable, I will admit TBATE mc has been a bit meh lately but from what I can remember (stopped reading like 5-6 months ago) "he's stopped thinking with his dick" tho I'm gonna have to look back since I can't remember any time where the mc was thinking with his dick for the most part he's pretty chill in that department doesn't even start a harem. (Would 2 people be counted as a harem or just a threesome)?

(part 2 on APOV) The writing does get better and gets out of 2 traps: 1) the MC's fighting style is completely OP. Finally gets a weakness when reloading becomes an issue around 260, but could do better if the author equates it to a sniper/glass cannon style in video games and lets the MC minimize his exposure to enemy attacks and his reloading being read by moving around nearby walls and obstacles and using them to block lines of sight and attacks (but mostly lines of sight) until he emerges for a microsecond for the attack. 2) the story was trapped when the MC is definitely the author. I can't say the transition in the truth of the world is necessarily better, since now the MC has a TBATE-like powerup, but can shorten the horizon to the end of the story significantly so the author can jump ship before he/she gets too tired.

As for APOV, I just read it recently, so it's still fresh off honeymoon phase. It's ok-ish. Some problems are perhaps the writer writes too fast. 1+ chapter per day is an insane rate. I feel like the chapters got ported before any editor or helper spellchecked and grammar checked. This improved around chapter 200. Visual imagery is mediocre. Author likes to say "alternated his/her gaze back and forth" or "alternated his/her head back and forth" when the MC just showed off. It's slightly... awkward to read. The lines of the villains all choosing to scream "Die" is cringe but unlike what I said, the author is indeed aware of this. Still does it anyway?... Amanda is also a bit of Mary Sue, unlike Melissa, who feels far more real.

There's no struggle or strategy. Everything is to magnify the TBATE MC's chunnipeen in a mega flexfest. Have you seen how Arthur goes to enemy territory to blend in only to not keep his head down but forgets all his goals instead tries to stare down enemy generals like the chad he is? Omagawd, what a chad. There's no reason the enemy miniboss wouldn't cut off the head of a random defiant peasant. MC keeps on thinking with his other head, but it's ok, mommy plot armor will take care of him.

The problem with TBATE is that the author constantly makes his MC flex and that's all that's going on. TBATE's MC has literally powers upon powers stacked upon him from the beginning as free gifts. He has a past of being a "King" even though the author clearly doesn't know what a king is but thinks it sounds cool. A king is not an elected glorified gladiator with no powers of government. Now the MC is getting called professor with no training or tenure, because it sounds cool. The MC gets powers gifted by his rebirth, by a random passerby dragon, by gods, a random ruin. His free waifu is 2D as fuck and I don't mean her chest. He is weakened for a new arc and then overwhelms his enemies with his super OP powers.

I read every single chapter of APOV and TBATE that was available when I was reading them. That means leaving off at chapter 578 out of the current 600 for APOV and 345 out of the current 397 for TBATE. I even bought patreon for TBATE to read ahead around the time of the Spoiler Alerttrials in Alacrya.I'm NOT a person who makes statements about novels I've never read.

(part 2) Then there's stuff like Throne of Magical Arcana, which is more grounded. Magic there is based on physics equations. I remember it often for giving a great analogy explaining quantum particle-wave duality using the story of the blind men and an elephant. Physicists who had bloody feuds over whether photons are particles or waves are alike to blind men fighting over if an elephant is a bat (touched ears), snake (touched trunk), or wall when the elephant is its own thing. Lastly, Scholar's Advanced Technological System, which heads into math rather than physics. It's exceptionally dry and only interesting to people who studied at least a bit of STEM before.

Heading more into sci fi, I suggest The Three Body Problem and its sequel, Dark Forest Theory. They're not LNs but hard copies you'll have to find a PDF somewhere. Three Body Problem is a slowburn, slow tease for most of it. Maybe you can skip right into Dark Forest Theory, where all the crazy shit happens. Kurzgesagt has a video about it, Obama and the Zuck mentioned it before iirc.

Depends on what your taste is. Want to mention some of your favorites? A great starter is Lord of the Mysteries, with a gripping first chapter pumped full of Bloodborne-like atmosphere, providing a vivid visualization of what it's like to wake up under a blood moon, looking down to see you've committed suicide. The spiritual successor to LotM is Embers Ad Infinitum, from the same author. The MC is not just a clown, he's the whole circus, and I'm all here for it. But sadly it takes some 59 to 69 chapters to really get started. Author demonstrates his great description skills for the fights once again. This is what I'm still reading atm. If I have to mention my all-time favorite LN/WN though, it would be Reverend Insanity. You'll see fanatical devotees paying respects to Reverend everywhere on this website. I'm here to tell you they're right. It's not just a novel. It sticks with you for months and years and changes the way you think the way reading Game of Thrones would.
