I read it on another site, the beginning is great, it has some common clichés and some forced plots, but that wasn't exactly bad, the problem is that after a certain chapter there will be a change in how the cultivation system works, I won't talk about it, but this change really demotivated me because it became an even bigger cliché. It's as if the author abandoned the originality of the story to turn it into a standard cultivation novel, I didn't handle it well and gave up. Despite the cons, overall, I really recommend you read the beginning, the cultivation system was very interesting for someone who likes to theorize cultivation techniques like me.

I just don't get that he's Supposed to be a sword god but now he's a psychic. . . ? Like the f*ck is going on? I'm 380 chapters in and I'm starting to get annoyed with this

When MC was born, a soul of a sword master got attached to him. He has it's memory. This is how he becomes stronger. The plot is average, I mean it is not like u keep reading and take from your sleeping. There r girls who fall for MC. MC has a mysterious power inside his body. The translation is good, IMO. If this is your first try for CN, it can be very interesting, but if u already read many CN. This is going to be average.

Wonderful story revolving around the MC which carries the the legacy of the enemy world. Nicely put through story and clearly states the different levels and worlds. The side stories of the different characters are also well written. One of the best novels I've been through (even though I'm not an avid reader but atleast for me it is).

Tldr at the bottom.
4 stars might be too high(I wish I could rate it 3.5) but there are things to like if you know how to skim and you like the things I like. I'm 250 chapters in and there's tons of action and arrogance from the mc. Almost every other second the mc is making someone angry, often it isn't his fault and the author has so far had a conveyer belt of morons who line up to get beat down by him and plenty of people to ooh and aah about his amazing skills. I realized through this story I'm used to mc's in this genre being the strongest and punching far above their weight class which does still happen but our mc's strength is his crazy speed and agility along with his battle experience from his past life. He can still fight far above his class but he can't go blow to blow if the other person is way higher in cultivation than he is.
The action is fun for the most part but honestly the rest of the stuff around it is pretty bland a lot of the time. The author will introduce characters or certain process's about how the world works and then we never see them again and I've learned to skim through these parts. For a quick example the mc is selling some crazy expensive items at the auction house and the author spends 6 to 7 chapters explaining how the town reacts and how many people are coming from all around to buy it. He goes into names of blah blah clans and even makes us sit through how much people are spending for 3 chapters which I really couldn't care less about. At the very least it could be done in 2 chapters instead of 7 since out of everyone mentioned maybe one clan will show up again. Some people might like all this detail since it will flesh out the world for you but for me its just a waste of space most of the time and I've just learned to skim.
I do also have a complaint with how the mc does things from time to time. I'm used to mc's in this genre being arrogant and bringing endless trouble upon themselves bc they refuse to be stepped on and its no different here. My complaint comes from the mc saying how he wants to get strong as fast as possible and then seemingly running off to play around with a group of expendable people that slow down his progress like crazy. He makes some odd, conflicting decisions at times and it seems like the author is just putting things in so we get to a certain plot point. In closing there's plenty of action and fights along with a really op, arrogant mc(although he does get beat up a decent bit) who isn't a complete psycopath that kills everything that moves. He is generally fair although it wouldn't be this genre w/o some ruthless behavior at times. Learn to skim around the crazy amount of fluff and pointless conversations since this novel is chock full of them and you'll probably enjoy yourself.

TLDR: Lots of action with op, arrogant mc along with tons of fluff and pointless conversation that should be skimmed through so you don't waste your time.(unless you just love learning about this world but I found most of it really bland and the author spends a lot of time on random uninteresting stuff) I'd give it a go for around the first 100 chapters and if you aren't enjoying yourself by then it probably isn't for you.
Disclaimer: I've only read 250 chapters so far so maybe this changes bigtime in the future but I kind of doubt it will be thaaaat different from what we've seen.

Update: Got to around 1400 chapters in and I like it a lot more than I did initially. Unfortunately I still hit that 1200 chapter slump that happens to me with so many stories in this genre. Even if stuff you've been looking forward to starts happening it still feels kind of boring for a while. I'm sure I'll pick it up again at some point since its not bad but I'm done atm. The action and power scaling is pretty good and there are at least love interests. The romance is really lacking though and the mc focus's so much on cultivation to where he has no time for his harem. This really hurts the variety bc he's so hellbent on getting strong. I love his mindset but the lack of romance can really be felt once you get further in. I get it, its a hard thing to balance and its not like I dislike our mc for being so worried about cultivation. I just wish the author would sprinkle in a bit of romance every once in a while for a nice change of pace. The author still waste's a ton of time talking about other people and random stuff but its better than it was before. At one point he spent like 8-10 chapters explaining a fight where our mc is horribly under leveled compared to everyone else and they are all fighting for a fruit. He spends soooo much time explaining all these people's attacks and I really couldn't care less since the mc barely does anything. This was pretty recent and maybe some will like it but I skimmed like crazy at this part since I don't care for all the detail towards a bunch of characters I'm sure won't be a huge part of the story.

Pretty good novel, MC works hard and doesn't obtain power through a ton of bullshit luck (at least now, hopefully stays like this in the future).
Also If I wouldn't know what is the plot there is no way that I could realize that the manga and the novel are the same.. there is simply to much difference.
