Good novel with unique take on cultivation genre, well executed modern world setting, author capable of thinking ahead and foreshadowing, with shtty chinese comedy and at times awful TL, its roller coaster honestly, at times amazing novel, at times cr*ppy excuse of comedy slice of life

the novel is pretty good, with a lot of comedy and consistancy with very few plot holes, the only problem is that after around chapter 2200 the translation goes to shiet and they started to use MTL which is very frustrating to read over 2k chapters just to have to drop the novel because the lack of translation

One of the best novels I've ever read, this novel has a slow pace because of that it has that much chapters, the story is good, but the mainly thing that makes me love this novel was the balance betwen drama and comedy and slice of life, the novel is mainly made up of slice of life moments and the comedy is great but it has some moments that you would thing "peak". ps: The tribulation fifth promotes sixth was crazy.

Sounds like a great story to me. Sure, it seems slow and boring at first, but it turns into a roller coaster ride from there. Those who have read it will understand me. . . There are a lot of interesting characters. And, oh my god, there's even a plot. If you reread it several times, you'll notice that the author makes a lot of hints and references to future events, which are very important in between. From this we can conclude that the author has planned the whole plot in advance. Which to me is great, because it makes the "picture" whole. Oh, and of course, cultivation. Not without it. It's not boring here! The events are dynamic and modern. I like it. As for me it is a fresh look at the works of this genre. And yes, this is the fifth time I've reread this novel, also with machine translation. Seriously, if I have the patience to read it on a Chinese site with google translate, it's clearly worth it. The first time I read it was after the manhua, and at that time I found the first 100 very boring. But as you can see I read it! So - recommended!

Excellent modern-day lighthearted cultivation epic. Starts strong and stays pretty strong throughout the entire story, as the MC goes from a basic normie mortal who accidentally got involved with the more fantastical hidden side of the world to basically a chosen one fate changing badass. It's a slow burner of a story, as you can tell by the 2200+ chapters as it currently sits, but it's pretty entertaining and there isn't too much drag for the most part. Does suffer from "and then X" a bit but it's not egregious so it's still good. It leans strongly into the side of comedy as opposed to gritty/edgy, so it's not awful to read through like so many of the other super long cultivation stories.

Cultivation based novel, but in nowadays world time. It's very nice to see how actually there is cultivation that most people unaware that it's existing. Good point: Mc perspective is so refreshing, side character is so alive, lot of comedy, interesting plot development. The catch: The story is a bit slow at first, but then turn to a bit fast paced later on. Also author seems to like a s*d*st to mc, i don't know whether mc is having good luck or bad luck. poor mc

It is kind of unique. The main draw of this novel is the comedy and unique people and ideas about cultivation. The main character is funny and goes through many adventures that are interesting and different then normal.

This novel is a drag to read. Its slow paced (up to chapter 280 so far). The chapters are incredibly long compared to other novels you find on this website, I easily read all 1000 chapters of cultivation online within 5 days. Iv beed reading this novel for a week and a half so far and theres about 2000 more chapters left. But this novel is the funniest novel iv ever read with brilliantly written characters and kids that actually feel like kids (small monk Guoguo is a fantastic boy of 6 years old causing trouble for the MC at nearly every oppotunity) also some guy ate his dog and they will keep reminding you about it. I rate this 4 stars due to how slow paced it is but other than that I have no complaints.

This novel is exceptionally well-written, both in terms of translation and content. While it falls under the comedy genre, it is important to set realistic expectations and not anticipate intricate drama or heavy plotlines. However, as an aware reader, one should already be aware of this fact. The humor is genuinely amusing, and even the non-comedic moments carry a charm that can bring a smile to your face. A noteworthy aspect of this novel is its characters, each of whom possesses a captivating and entertaining persona. Their interactions on the chat board are particularly hilarious. The presence of action throughout the story ensures that it never becomes monotonous, allowing even enthusiasts of intense combat to relish the narrative. It should be noted that the protagonist is deliberately designed to be distinct from the overpowered archetype. For a significant portion of the story, he remains comparatively weaker than others, even as the plot progresses. From an informational perspective, this novel successfully blends modern elements such as internet chat, cell phones, cars, monsters, flying swords, and even the inclusion of magical farm tractors, which is particularly noteworthy. I highly recommend delving into this story, as long as you seek a lighthearted comedy infused with well-executed action sequences.
