Ling Yun was in deep thoughts as his heavy body leaned against the red Ferrari. With an enigmatic smile, he observed Xue Meining making the call. If that was so, what kind of top dog was that Old Man Xue? Ling Yun was beginning to hold great interest in the background of Old Man Xue.

Having finished her call, a beaming Xue Meining walked towards Ling Yun with her beautiful long legs. With her right arm, she clung around Ling Yun’s arm, seemingly unbothered by the fact that her ripe bosom was pressing against Ling Yun. With that, she pulled Ling Yun towards the shops.

“Mission accomplished! Now, let’s begin the real shopping!” Xue Meining exclaimed with exuberance.

For Xue Meining, she was in one of her best moods at the moment. Not only had her precious grandpa’s illness been cured, she had also been able to save an old man’s life today. Furthermore, now, she had the perfect plan to be rid of Li Qingchuan’s harassment. She felt as if she was on cloud nine. The little lady was so happy that she even began humming songs!

Once they entered the shopping mall, Xue Meining was like a fish in the ocean, entering various boutiques selling branded clothing. Like a butterfly attracted to nectar, she jumped from store to store, trying out the clothing that caught her eyes.

Many emotions were coming and going on her face. From anticipation to disappointment, from anxiety to anger, her heart was a mess. I just gave you the revision materials this morning and you’re already playing hooky in the afternoon! Cao Shanshan screamed in her mind. Is it really impossible for a leopard to change its spots? After changing for one day, he’s now back to his old nature?

“From how I see it, he doesn’t want to face you, that’s why he skipped the afternoon lesson. I will ask Zhang Dong in the next lesson. According to him, Ling Yun went out to buy some stuff…”

Hearing the word ‘buy’ caused Cao Shanshan’s temper to hit the roof.

“To buy stuff? Does one need the whole afternoon just to buy something? That’s just a bunch of excuses! I bet he’s out in those internet cafes again!” Cao Shanshan exploded.

Zhang Ling remained silent as if in deep thought. As she glanced at the infuriated Cao Shanshan, she could not help but let out a laugh as she asked.

“Shanshan, why are you in such a rush? Tomorrow’s a holiday so Ling Yun will be back in class latest by Monday next week. Besides, have you forgotten that he promised Ning Lingyu that he won’t skip any lessons starting next week?”

Cao Shanshan did remember this incident. It had happened yesterday when they had just left Savant’s restaurant. Ling Yun had said something about needing to buy some stuff and fearing that he would play truant again, Ning Lingyu had refused to let him go. Only after he had promised her that he would not do such thing starting next week had she relented.

“But… there are only two months left to the exams. With such an attitude, how does he intend to get into Yanjing University? What a joke!”

“Shanshan, it seems to me that you really hope that Ling Yun can get into Yanjing University, right?” Zhang Ling replied with a giggle.

“By the way, if Ling Yun does come back later, do you really intend to teach him a lesson?” Zhang Ling asked out of curiosity.

“As if that bum would come back! Of course, if he does come back, I will make sure I give him a thorough lesson! After all, I’m not the class head for nothing!” Cao Shanshan answered in a harsh tone.

Cao Shanshan was boiling with rage and was just waiting for Ling Yun’s return so that she could unleash her wrath on him.

“Sir, you not allowed to smoke in the patient’s ward!”

“Beat it! I don’t care about that bullshit, don’t make me throw you out!”

After suffering such a humiliation, the young nurse’s face was flushed red with both embarrassment and anger. However, the room seemed to be overflowing with male hormones from the many burly men standing around the patient. Thus, she knew that he was not making empty threats. As such, she could only bury her anger and leave without a word.

“Che, now even a tiny nurse is giving me orders. D*mn it all!” Gou Junfa exclaimed. His arrogance seemed to be without end.

Gou Junfa was in a black mood, so much so that he had a bone to pick with everyone. Yet, just from looking at his face one could understand why. His whole left face was swollen like a ripe peach while in his mouth, his three fallen teeth had just been replaced. Even smoking a cigarette gave him so much pain. Who would feel happy in this situation?

“Brother Fa, so what should we do with that Ling Yun fella now?” Lu Chengtian asked. He was puffing a cigarette as he sat on the sofa in the special care ward, eyeing Gou Junfa cautiously. The state of Gou Junfa was hilarious and yet ,Lu Chengtian had to hold it in so as to not agitate him.

Having the tables turned on them and having lost three teeth, not to mention being robbed of 9,000 dollars, Lu Cheng Tian was sure that Gou Junfa would not leave things as they were. Losing the money was one thing but damaging their reputation was another. If they did not get back at Ling Yun, the notorious reputation that they had built up for these three years would be ruined.

“Brother Lu, how about you get your father to talk to the school in charge and get him to just expel Ling Yun for good?” a blonde haired kid suggested to the guys.

“You idiot, what’s the point of expelling him now? With his grades, he wouldn’t be able to go to any university anyway. Plus, if we expel him, how are we going to find him and take our revenge!” Gou Junfa hollered with a glare.

Gou Junfa then turned to face Lu Chengtian, smiling sinisterly.

“Don’t worry, I have three plans in mind.”

“First, in the case of Ling Yun, we will get more people and beat him to a pulp so that he won’t ever stand up to us again!”

“Next, we will find out where his house is and make a mess out of it so that they will never know peace.”

“Lastly, we will target Ning Lingyu… Who cares if she’s the campus belle or whatever?….”

Gou Junfa explained his plan with a cruel smile visible on his right face.

Hearing that, Lu Cheng Tian frowned and asked, ” But Ning Lingyu is Xie Junyan’s prey. If we touch her, wouldn’t we be in trouble? After all, his dad is the administrative vice mayor…”

In return, Gou Junfa gave Lu Chengtian a look of contempt as he explained.

But being the meticulous son of the education bureau director, Lu Chengtian still had some worries left.

Even though Lu Chengtian’s father was a rank higher than Tang Meng’s father who was only at the deputy level, Tang Meng’s father was still one of the heads of security in Qingshui City. Thus, Lu Chengtian could not afford to take Tang Meng lightly. If Tang Meng got his father to start an investigation and traced it back to the two of them, they would have to face the music.

Gou Junfa was no fool either. As his father, Gou Liancheng, had his hands in both the real estate and hotel entertainment industry, he had connections with both sides of society. Therefore, Gou Junfa knew exactly what Lu Chengtian meant.

With that, Gou Junfa was back in his own thoughts before finally saying with a smile, “Then for now, let’s put the case with Ning Lingyu on hold. Instead, let’s send some guys to put that b*stard Ling Yun in the hospital until the end of the year!”

“That Ling Yun seems to think he’s a great fighter now. So this time, we’ll bring thirty men. Let’s see how well he can fight, shall we?” Gou Junfa smile grimly as he threw his cigarette onto the floor
