The relationships are annoying af. This is basically a harem in the making and it's so forced. No chemistry at all, worst excuse for romance I've seen.

what exactly is forced? klea has been interested since their first year…so that’s more than 4 years right there. Emery was in love with gwen all his life so that def ain’t forced…morgana admired the strong…and that turned into love because she couldn’t leave him if she wasn’t stronger than him. and silva started liking him after he saved her in the games and gave him a kiss🤦🏽‍♂️nothing is forced bro

The only one that makes sense is Gwen and even that becomes unecessarily complicated. The others don't know him and just become instantly interested, then obsessed. It's shit tier romance.

that simply isn’t true…did u read the same novel as me? klea simply thought emery looked good and was attracted to his attitude since day one and has liked him for years,so that isn’t poorly written, like u said gwen isn’t poorly written, morgana’s whole archetype is that she admires the strong and wishes to be strong herself, so the fact she likes the strongest man she has ever met isn’t poorly written either, and silva liked emery cuz he was one of the few people who treated her like a regular person, rather than a halfbreed vamp

If you can't see it, you just aren't experienced enough a reader. The main cast are the worst part of this novel. It's strong point is world building. It would have done better without the shit tier romance. It's also the only novel of this author that is decent.

MC is naive but give him a chance to change and grow up he's only 15 at beggining. Btw if he choose Gwen I will drop this because he has so many options so many potiential partners that will support him for 1000 + years while Gwen would eventually die after 100 years. She also can't give mych support Emery because she's not MagusSpoiler AlertSo I Emery is with Gwen now idk if I wanna read it anymore

This is a good Read, worthy of its ranking. Bear in mind, many decisions, attitude, and action of the MC Will make you annoyed if you're the type to nitpick since the MC is a Naive KID who often got carried away, plan terribly, almost not caring for the consueqences of his rash action and decision and many others. The overall story is GREAT.., the MC is not the talented and Overpowered TYPE, his growth is slow and many of his Powers comes from lucky encounters. But it still good somehow.

Up to chapter 42 and, as expected the protagonist was shaping up to be the most pathetic excuse of life. He lacks drive, courage, determination and above all talent. He simply has no place being a protagonist, so weak-minded. I can't help but be annoyed, this novel reeks of incompetence throughout. He simply bends to the will of others, lacks any semblance of dignity, consequently coming off as desperate and needy.

mind telling me how much time have passed for the mc in the novel in the span of 50 chapters? Just so I could tell if this is worth reading at all. I can only bear with sh*tty protags for 100 chapters.

Very little, there isn't as much initiative as I think anyone would like.

It's definitely worth reading, he has pretty good character development once you get a little further through, at least in my opinion.

Not every story has to start with a steel will untouchable MC you know? He gets more confident as the story goes on and he learns what he's truly capable of. Though if you're looking for a ruthless bastard, you might enjoy "Reverend Insanity" and the Xanxia genre more in general

It isn't about having a steel will, I simply feel they are unnecessarily sentimental about all their actions. Even as they become accustomed to such, there is always a prolonged explanation regarding their mental status as though they are nothing more than depressed teens. Nor is it necessarily about being ruthless, more so stubborn, they ought not accept the good will or advances of any, as they are generally shallow in intent, I don't care if they differentiate between good and evil, however they should at the very least be efficient and resourceful.

reverand insanity is probably one of the most hardcode novels I've ever read.

My thoughts after reading 15 chapters: Story follows a neurotic pre-pubescent boy, whose conversations leave much to be desired. He appears desperate for companionship, which makes me think it will manifest into codependency. If the already atrocious and contemptible protagonist wasn't alluring enough, the writing itself is terrible, it lacks fluidity and is difficult to read. For example, "he lay on his head on the pillow". This is only one of the several lines that read terribly. Overall, the first 15 chapters certainly don't amount to a good impression, also I am posting this under comments as opposed to reviews as I can't evaluate the novel as a whole.
