Summary

“Even if this universe is truly nothing more than a brutal bloody shadowy forest, we Cultivators will burn all that we have just to give off a single weak flickering spark in the darkness!

No matter how weak each spark is, how short-lived, how small… As long as the sparks flow unabated, then one day one of those sparks will light some tinder, and that tinder shall light some fallen branches, and those branches shall set ablaze each and every last tree of the forest!

In the end, even the smallest sparks will eventually set the shadowy forest ablaze, and illuminate the whole world!”

In a world teeming with cultivators, Li Yao, who makes his living collecting scrap metal, encounters the soul of a titan powerhouse from forty thousand years in the past.

Its actually my favourite novel:) -Its not for everyone, it has a very slow start (generic first thousand chapters or so), and author loves to excessively detail everything. -The female lead is a literal girlboss and my favourite female character, not bidimensionals in the least, the romance is realistic, author has definitely talked to a woman at least once. -Actually here everyone Is excessively real, you will find yourself being entranced by every villain and the battles are often also battles of ideals other than fist. -The scale is multidimendional and the setting futuristic with mechas starships ecc. (I am not a fan of this at all but here its blended very well) -The plot is godly and It didnt feel dragged in the least despite all the chapters. -This novel has a strong political undertone, but i couldnt care less, MC fights for the welfare of ordinary people, he's more of a spy and a smarty guy than a fighter, king of ventilation ports crawling.

how is the translation? i really hate it when it goes mtl in the middle, theres a novel I've been reading 1,5k chapter then it suddenly goes mtl for hundreds of chapters, its so bad that i have to drop it 😞

translation is fine all along. and thats a plus because it gets rather phylosophical later on. If i can give you a suggestion, take it slow, you cant speedrun this,at times it may get very boring(that may also be because i am rereading). You may be tempted to skip chapters or pharagraphs but dont do it, just take a break, the excessively long descriptions and details are a big part of this novel and what makes it different than random slop

Watch the animated series first imo, it's always easier to get into novel after watching it's adaptation and this one is really good. Honestly, I read it a while ago so I don't remember how quality was it but I do remember that it was enjoyable

It should only be one waifu. Not sure how well the romance goes.. but in the Donghua the waifu was introduced early on so there would be lots of development there?

For those wondering this novel was adapted into a Chinese Anime (Donghua). It’s similar to the standard Donghua 3D, but better in a lot of ways… background details and architecture have a lot of detail.. not just bland stuff like in standard Donghua..
