Gacha Sovereign
Chapter 39: Turtle

But he wasn't too surprised this time because the turtle was already on its way toward him. Alex pulled out a big shield from the System and blocked this charge.

'Strong,' the charge was too strong for him.

Alex was pinned down to the wall and he suddenly thought something.

Because this turtle was shaped like a ball. He could just let it roll away, but he could only direct it to the wall since the turtle was rolling in his direction.

He stuck his shield to the ground and also to the wall, making it like a slope. The turtle climbed on the wall because of it. However, the shield was broken because of the turtle's weight. Alex looked at the turtle still floating above him.

'Sh*t', he saw the turtle was almost fall and he immediately moved away.

'Boom'

The floor was quaking. The turtle was so heavy that it managed to quake the ground. But thanks to its charge, the path to the next floor was open.

Alex ran to the stairs, and the turtle immediately rolled to Alex when it saw he was moving to the stairs.

Alex used his fastest speed to run.

'Haha, success!' Alex managed to get to the stairs, he wanted to look at the turtle. But he was surprised when he saw the turtle didn't follow him.

"I will kill you next time," he shouted.

'Roar' the turtle roared to Alex. But he didn't know the turtle's language so he just ignored it. With this, he was able to continue to the next floor.

If Alex knew the turtle's language, he must have heard that this turtle was mocking him.

'You can't even put a scratch on me. But you thought about killing me?' or something like that.

Of course, Alex didn't know about any of this and he just continued to the 41th floor.

On the 41th floor, he met many rank 4 monsters ranging from a snake, lizard, lion, tiger, to wolf. But all these monsters didn't have that much power as the previous turtle, even though they have the same rank.

He continued to 42th floor and he found a group that was surrounded by monsters. Alex wanted to ignore them since he didn't want to steal the chance to kill those monsters, but he suddenly heard someone was asking for help.

"Help!" one of the men shouted.

Alex observed the group now and he realized that the group was actually in a desperate fight. He noticed one of them already wounded heavily. He then decided to help.

The monsters surrounding them were 4 rank ogres. There were seven ogres in total. While the group only had 5 people in it.

The ogre still didn't notice him, so he stealthily got close to them.

He jumped to the back of the ogres. These ogres looked so muscular, but Alex managed to see that their neck seemed so thin and he decided to slash its neck.

The ogre was killed with a single slash. The other ogre beside him was shocked, it turned to Alex, but Alex didn't let this chance go. He thrust his sword to its neck and killed it once again.

Only 5 ogres were now left and their number was even with the adventurer.

Two of the ogres came to Alex while the other three kept the group occupied. The ogres that came to Alex swung their cub angrily.

Alex dodged them completely, but he was surprised. He managed to observe the ogres' strength. If he didn't dodge just now, his hand might be broken if he parried it. However, the ogres' speed was not so fast.

Alex took advantage of this and he went around them a few times. Eventually, he managed to trip one of them and when that ogre fell, Alex immediately pierced its neck and killed it. Now, there was only one left and this time he gave a surprise with his speed. Alex killed it in just a few minutes.

He turned toward the group. That group was able to kill one of the ogres and the other one was heavily injured. Alex turned toward the uninjured ogre and ambushed him. He killed the ogre instantly and when the other ogre noticed this, it turned to its fallen comrade to look. But the hunter took this chance to kill the last ogre.

Alex sheathed his sword as he wanted to search for the monster core. But suddenly.

"Stop!"

Alex looked at the source of the voice. It was the same person who shouted help earlier.

"This is our prey, are you going to steal our hard-earned monster core?" he shamelessly said.

"I helped you just now," he coldly said while frowning.

"What help? I just shouted help to distract the ogres but they didn't even bother you. Useless. This is our monster. Or are you going to rob them from us? You think you can fight with five of us?" he gave a cold gaze to Alex.

Alex just shook his head for this shameless person, Alex glanced at his comrade, but all of them were the same. They just gave Alex a murderous glare. Didn't want to create any more scenes Alex just turned away and left, "Hope you can stay alive."

He kept killing rank 4 monsters on this floor and he finished them off brutally just to show how angry Alex was now. He could only vent his anger to these monsters. He couldn't kill humans in this world because as someone coming from Earth, he still had that weak spot about 'killing humans' inside his heart.

After a few hours of venting his anger by killing those monsters, he saw the group he helped earlier. They were surrounded by monsters once again. This time, the monsters that were trapping them are lions.

"Help!" noticing there was someone nearby, one of them shouted.

"..." Alex ignored them this time.

"Help! Please help us!" the guy kept shouting. But this time he realized that the one who was passing by them just now was the previous person they had manipulated.

"You...You were the one who helped us earlier?"

"I'm not going to rob your chance to kill those monsters, don't worry," Alex said and left.

"No...No, this time we need help. Please help us, we..."

But Alex didn't even stop to hear them speak, he turned around and left to the next floor.

"NO...NO... HELP!" the guy's face became so pale when Alex just left them.

"Young man, please help us!" even the other people in their group couldn't help but keep shouting for Alex's help.

But their plea never got into Alex's ear.

From this day forward, there was no more news about this group. Many claimed these people were already dead. Some people who had been cheated by the group before were happy to hear such news, they even threw a private party to celebrate it.

'Serve them right!'

Alex, who was so focused on finding gacha tickets, wasn't aware of this group's stories. He just continued to the lower floor.

He kept killing rank 4 monsters on the lower floor. Though the rate he killed rank 4 monsters was slower than when he killed rank 3 monsters, the rate for getting a gacha ticket was higher.

Alex continued his killing until he reached the safe zone on the 45th floor. He didn't sleep throughout his adventure. Though a higher rank people usually could go on without sleeping for a few days, but Alex could go on without any sleep. If he was exhausted, he just needed to stop for a while and recharged his energy. This cultivation was a cheat, he thought. Especially in this kind of environment, where people couldn't see the time. However, Alex could still notice the time change since he still had his watch from Earth.

He was thankful because this world and Earth didn't have time differences. Alex managed to reach the 45th floor after 2 weeks.

"This is the 45th floor," Alex searched his surroundings. Though this floor was safe, it was only safe from monsters. As long as there were people on this floor, that meant there was a certain variable of danger. This time, this floor only had a few people. Even on the 35th floor, there were still a few tens of people.

He didn't want to bother with these people, as long as they didn't disturb him. If there were any conflict it would become a bigger problem, especially if they noticed Alex and harbor any thoughts about him.

He sat on a tree and wanted to check his status.

Name: Alexander Sirius (Early Phase Qi Gathering Stage)

Job: Sword Saint (Primary), Adventurer (Secondary), Alchemist (Secondary), Hunter (Secondary)

Rank: 4

Level: 437

STR: 450

AGI: 416

VIT: 425

DEX: 432

INT: 405

He looked at his status and he managed to get 50 levels from killing. But since he didn't get any status from leveling up, his strength only progressed very little.

He planned to reach rank 5 within these two weeks. That meant he had to go through another sixty-three level.

"System, how many tickets did I get in the dungeon?"

[219 tickets, Host]

"And the accumulation?"

[985 tickets, Host]

"Still one thousand more to upgrade."

[Thank you for your effort, Host]

"I will keep the ticket for now. Maybe I can get many benefits for mass use after the upgrade."

He jumped off the tree and started to kill again on the lower floor.

After a week of killing rank 4 monsters, he became accustomed to killing monsters of this rank. Then, he decided to try the fiftieth floor since he already killed a rank 5 monster before, though he barely survived. He was determined to keep going into the 50th floor.

The floor boss was a rank 5 snake, this snake was red-colored with a body of 2 meters in width and 15 meters in length.

As usual, Alex used his fire Sword Wave to test the water.

'Flame Sword Wave'

A Flame Sword Wave flew toward the snake. But the snake nimbly dodged Alex's attack and charged toward Alex.

This snake was as fast as Alex, but more importantly, this snake was too agile.
