Zhang Ruo Chen was the sole male heir of one of the nine emperors of the Kunlun Field. Ruo Chen’s father was known to all as the “Enlightened Emperor”, however Ruo Chen didn’t just leech off his status as emperor’s son. He proved himself to be a dragon amongst men, possessing a heaven defying body, and managing to cultivate to Greater Perfection within the Yellow Horizon Realm, at just the young age of 16.
But even though he stood at the summit of the younger generation and had a boundless future, he sadly died at the treacherous hands of his own fiancee at a young age.
Reincarnated 800 years later in the body of a young boy who shares his name, he found out his former fiancee already unified Kunlun’s Field and built the First Central Empire, and was now known as Empress Chi Yao… Empress Chi Yao—Her Majesty governed the mortal world and enjoyed prestige in all directions as well as an eternal life.
Zhang Ruochen stood outside of the Imperial Ancestral Temple, looking at the statue of Empress Chi Yao, and the flames of hatred burned in his heart. “After I practice for 13 years, I shall send the empress to her doom!”

Oh boy, this novel... Let me just start by saying that it takes over 2000 chapters for the main plot to slightly start to develop. That in itself already tells you how the author writes, he basically keeps everything a "mystery", going so far as to sometimes keep what the *main character saw himself* as a "mystery" to the reader by not writing what he god d*mn saw. I have too many bad things to write about the novel but I won't. Honestly, I won't because there's one thing that is good which is the combat, and the novel does get better after 1k or so because of wars — if you completely ignore that there should be the main plot somewhere. Ok I will say one more bad thing: The romance is weird. The world is obviously polygamist, pretty much everyone has a bunch of wives, but the author writes every relationship and the characters thoughts with a monogamy view, which basically makes no sense. I would still recommend if you can endure 1k chapters of extra garbage until it gets better.
They stopped translating this novel. I guess...
Okay, so this is not a good novel. There's so much plot holes all over the place that if you're really up to reading it for the sake of the guilty pleasure of repetitive xianxia plot, then you're gonna have to turn off your brain. Firstly, the power system is so confusing. Xianxias tend to hide the higher heavens behind a heaven above the sky and the sky atop the mountains for the sake of an ever expanding world building. This novel does that too but in a world where mountains and heavens are all twisted and turned over each other. Sometimes stronger, sometimes weaker. It's a real mess honestly. Secondly, the MC has a peanut of a brain. He's done things that made things worse because he chose to solve a problem with even more problems. The romance in this novel is so badly developed and rushed that most of the characters I've encountered felt like cardboard. The syntax and grammar is also either basic or straight up trash. Overall Rating: 2.3/5.0
Everybody please give it a 1star rating. Then the author would realise our desire for the story. Let's make the writer regret stop posting chapters even after year. Let's kick their a*s.
