The shadow python was in despair. It now had no choice but to fly toward the crimson floating continent as quickly as it could.

The white stars from below were already springing into action as they transformed into white streaks of light that shot forth into the sky, and a certain power was also descending from the inky-black sky above. It had no choice but to risk it all!

The shadow python roared as it unleashed all its power, and its body transformed into a black shadow as it flew toward the floating continent.

An Lin, Xu Xiaolan, and all the beasts had their eyes firmly fixed on the shadow python.

It was essentially testing the waters for everyone else.

The crimson floating continent wasn’t actually very far away from the starry sky, and the shadow python soon bypassed the restrictive barrier and plummeted to the crimson earth.

The ground exploded, and as the dust settled, the shadow python began to slowly reappear.

What was encouraging to everyone was that the stars pursuing it seemed to have lost its target, and it circled around as if it was confused before flying back to where it had launched from.

The power descending from the inky-black sky also disappeared.

An Lin’s fists clenched together as he fixed his gaze on the red light in the sky.

The red light twisted and formed into red beams of energy that flew toward the shadow python at breakneck speed.

The shadow python could only stand and fight as it unleashed its Soul Formation Intermediate Stage power to the fullest extent, and an inky-black shield encapsulated its body.

The net of highly-concentrated energy beams flashed past the python’s body like the scythe of a Death God!

Crack… Bam!

The shadow python’s shield shattered, but its body was revealed to be completely unscathed.

An Lin took a deep breath as scorching light erupted from his eyes. “It survived! The experiment was a success!”

The shadow python also faltered for a moment, clearly not anticipating that it would have actually survived.

However, it quickly came to its senses before charging toward the center of the floating continent.

“In this reversed world, the gravity of the floating continent is prioritized as the ground once you bypass the restrictive barrier! This is the perfect opportunity to get onto the floating continent!” An Lin exclaimed excitedly.

“Let’s go!” Xu Xiaolan was clearly raring to go.

Thus, the two of them, along with a cow and a frog, began to fly toward the floating continent.

The groundhog and all the remaining beasts also unleashed all their power to fly toward the floating continent. They were doing this to fight for the Kirin Blood Jade, but most importantly, it was also to escape from this accursed place!

Streaks of light flashed toward the upside-down floating continent.

Countless stars erupted into the air in hot pursuit, creating a majestic scene akin to a waterfall of reverse shooting stars.

However, the stars weren’t scenery; they were terrifying killers.

The shadow python managed to survive as it was a Soul Formation Intermediate Stage soul beast, but the other Spirit Nurturing Stage spirit beasts weren’t so lucky.

One spirit beast after another had their bodies pierced by the stars, and they died amid a chorus of bloodcurdling cries.

Some of the fast-flying spirit beasts managed to bypass the restrictive barrier with great difficulty, only to be mercilessly sliced into countless pieces by the beams of concentrated energy.

In the end, only the groundhog and two other members of the Divine Guardian Squad managed to survive. They were all soul beasts at the Soul Formation Pinnacle Stage!

An Lin and the others arrived on the floating continent earlier than the groundhog, and they had already set off in pursuit of the shadow python as well as for the Kirin Blood Jade.

There was no doubt that the largest mushroom on this floating continent was most likely where the Kirin Blood Jade was located.

The shadow python unleashed its most powerful movement technique, and its body transformed into a black shadow as it charged toward the huge red mushroom at an alarming speed. It had no path of retreat! It had to find the Kirin Blood Jade!

It’s close!

The shadow python raised its head, and it could already see the alluring light shining from the huge mushroom building.

“Hahaha… Kirin Blood Jade, here I come!” The shadow python was filled with excitement as it unleashed its divine sense in an attempt to determine the exact location of the Kirin Blood Jade.

It then suddenly detected something beside it.

A red figure flew out from a nearby mushroom house, and a sharp sword pierced through the shadows before puncturing the shadow python’s head with extreme accuracy.

“Hiss!” the shadow python hissed in agony as it whipped its tail toward the red figure.

Whoosh!

The red figure flew back in retreat as the sharp blade in its hand slashed a lethal trajectory into the python’s body.

The shadow python felt a coldness on its neck, followed by an indescribable sense of agony.

Splat!

The python’s head had been completely decapitated.

It let loose a series of heartwrenching cries, and the two halves of its body spasmed frantically as all of its vitality left its body…

An Lin and Xu Xiaolan’s expressions turned a lot grimmer upon seeing the red figure.

This was a crimson humanoid cat.

It held a crimson longsword, and its aura was vastly terrifying, even more so than the Demonic Blood Beasts stationed around the Mutant Blood Phoenix!

However, An Lin’s attention was not focused on it. Instead, he unleashed a Golden Void Lightning to the side without any hesitation.

Boom!

A massive thunderclap reverberated through the air as a bolt of golden lightning reduced a nearby crimson mushroom house to dust. Another red figure hurtled back in retreat as it cackled in a strange voice. “Bahahaha… These are some high-quality ingredients here!”

“Goat God, be careful! They must be quite powerful to be able to detect your presence.”

The humanoid cat shook the blood from its sword as it uttered words of caution, but it didn’t seem to be heeding its own advice as it made its way slowly and gracefully toward An Lin.

“This is our chance! They’ve been held back!” The groundhog was ecstatic upon seeing this and immediately skirted around to try and evade the Demonic Blood Beasts and reach the huge mushroom from the side.

However, it only managed to smile for less than three seconds before a gigantic warhammer descended from the sky.

The warhammer was a few hundred meters wide, and the shadow it cast enshrouded the groundhog as well as the other two members of the Divine Guardian Squad.

Boom!

The gigantic hammer fell, and the earth rumbled!

Fierce battles had erupted, but the huge mushroom construction at the very center of the floating continent remained extremely quiet.

A creature enshrouded in dark shadows picked up a clear wine glass, which contained an exquisite, crimson beverage, before taking a sip.

Besides this creature, there were two other creatures with auras that were just as fearsome. Both of them were sprawled onto the ground, but their eyes were trained on the battles taking place outside.

A blue flying tiger with countless skulls hanging from its wings narrowed its eyes. “Among the arrivals, there is someone with an aura I utterly loathe…”

A monster with a goat’s body and a human face ground its bloodstained fangs together. “I’m hungry. I want to eat…”

“Don’t rush. A delicious meal is cooking, so we must be patient.” The creature in the shadows placed its wineglass on the table, upon which a dull thump erupted across the entire floating continent.

Thump…

Boundless crimson blood suddenly began to pour from the crimson earth.

Blood instantly surged throughout the entire continent, accompanied by the despair and anguished cries of countless dead souls.

Heaven and earth was transformed into a crimson hell!

A thought suddenly occurred to An Lin as he witnessed this terrifying scene.
