I Refuse to Become Scumbag in Tokyo

Finished this novel and I think it is good. The author did let the characters have the personality they had from their original versions, which I thought was really nice. Btw , I personally think this story would be more enjoyable if you guys had some background knowledge of the original verse of each of these characters. You don’t need to though. I only watched oregairu and pet girl of sakarasou and I still pretty much understood everything. It was pretty nostalgic to see some of the scenes re-enacted, so be careful of spoilers of the original verse, and it also gave some of the original characters different paths, which I thought was really interesting. Tbh, the only complaints personally from me is the h-scenes in this novel. It’s not bad, but it does feel a little repetitive after awhile. I more so enjoyed the interactions between the characters leading up to the h-scenes. The harem part here also seems a bit unbalanced. Some of the girls have more impact than others, and some are written better than others. Yui felt the most unrepresented. I’m ngl, Yui’s Mom route was more impactful than Yui 💀. The harem here also reminds me of the “100 Girlfriends” manga/anime, just more “realistic”, but still not really. Another thing is that this novel also let me see things from a different path. I actually learned something from this novel, especially from the sakarasou part of this novel. All in all, this novel was good. I wouldn’t give it a 5-star because some of the harem members route just didn’t flow right, like Yuis, so I give it a 4-star.

I love these novels where the MC ends up in a world full of characters from various novels. I read them purely for the comedy. The world-building is good, but the MC doesn't use his abilities often; it's like having a megazord with an atom processor. The harem is irritating (as in all of akikan40's novels, the harem is just a ridiculous amount of trophy girls, 20+). I'll give it a 3/5 rating because it hooked me in the beginning, even though I was quite disappointed with the romance in the novel.

I wrote a review once and I'll write it again. Even though it's fanfiction, in my personal opinion, I think that this is still pretty bad. The author failed to encapsulate the original characters' personalities and just made all of them fall in love with the MC no problem. I feel like I was reading a NTR novel considering the fact that most girls that fell in love with the MC is the future girlfriend of the MC. Like I'm fine with side characters or ex harem of MCs but I don't like this at all. Also the fact that they literally fall in love with him cause of his strength. Like bro I know for a fact these characters wouldn't fall in love with someone for their strength.

This novel is one of my favourites. I'm the kind of person to enjoy harem stories, so you might not enjoy it as much as I do, but if you do enjoy harem stories then you'll probably like this.

this novel is bullshit. Ultimate bullshit, i enjoyed the early chpaters, its stupid but still good until so many girls just somehow fell in love with him and he just dont do anything about it (saying bullshits like im not scumbag and no harem) then whatfuck are you doing with this whores. i waste my time reading 100 chapters and i fucking regret it. if you like brainless Characters, stupid boring plot and enjoy losing iq then read this.

I love the character of the mc. . . i wish the story goes well. . . thankyou for this wonderful novel. i recommend this novel to all of you to read .

The MC is a total hypocrite. Really not worth reading, i regretted every second i read this novel and wish if i could've go back to the past to stop myself from reading it.

The MC is a hypocrite. There's nothing wrong with him having girls but saying "This MC anime is the worst. " but how dare he say that?! Let me see how an ordinary boy can deal with a complicated love relationship. The author could just remove the MC from the original anime or just make him a side character, but yeah, the author needs to flex on how much the MC is way better and how much he should deserve the girls.

there's no plot and is just the author making his chinese clichè harem novel for people to read his fanfic, all female character has the same personality at the end(everyone is horny for mc) mc *breath* girls: omg he's so hot he should have baby with me. MC *breath* skills max level acquired, poor writting for author with 0 writting skills to make their character more than it actually is. at the end the 'plot'(if there had one) is mc getting skills doing nothing and showing what he got to the girls. . . it's like a react but the reaction is always the same. (btw is it just me or most of the other reviews looks the same? even the words. . . this website should look if they are bots).

This is probably my favourite read of last year. It's enjoyable, funny, some well written action scenes and others. Overall a great novel 😀
