Over time, these customers begin to respect him greatly, some even frequently bringing local specialties to repay his favor. They often seek his professional opinion when it comes to selecting books, and share their experiences with this ordinary bookstore owner to people around them.

They respectfully and intimately refer to him using names such as the “Demon God’s Lackey”, “Propagator of the Flesh and Blood Gospel”, “ ‘Corpse Devouring Sect’s Rites and Customs’ Author” and “Shepherd of the Stars”.

I’m almost done reading “The Innkeeper.” While I loved the concept and the idea, the execution was poor, and the main character is one of the worst I’ve ever encountered. Is this new book any better, or am I in for another disappointment?.

I liked it when I read it a while ago. The potential for the book isn't as high as MI and the writing is similar although much better(Author for MI is the worst 😑). I dont know how far you are in but I belive much of the book is based on a bunch of misunderstandings.

Haha I’ve read almost all of your complaints in the first 1000 chapters of the innkeeper, and i agree with 80% of it. If you’re recommending this then it must be good, though 400 chapters is too short.

Yea it was more of a fun filler read while I scrambled to find an actual beefy book. I dont know if I even finished it tbh.

“Well, if you didn’t enjoy it at all, then it’s best to just drop it. Although it improved slightly, it wasn’t enough for me. The main character’s stupid decisions, the plot holes every five chapters, and the random, unnecessary side quests ruined it for me. I’m relieved I finally finished .”

Those who was wondering in what chapter in this novel end in the manhwa, it's at chapter 139 and its in chapter 120 in the manhwa

I hated that they made Blackie solve the elf problem in the manhwa but it was kind of obvious since the MC hadn't learned how to collect aether there. I hope they at least put the Sky Wolf summoning ritual in the manhwa.

I think it was a good novel. It was funny and interesting that people imaginations can be this much excessive and can make this confusion. furthermore, i think end of this novel could be better. The author was in a hurry to finished this. At last, I recommend it and give it 4/5

I just realised This novel is just a reversed version of cultivation tropes Where everyone beside MC are dumb arrogant brainless idiots who jump on any opportunity without thinking twice Here Everyone is just too smart for their own good and apply regular mental gymnastics to judge each f*ck*ng situation way cautiously and doubt their existence at every point...

The characters like the tarot club members from LoTM especially the hanged man, justice and hermit are also like this except that Klein actually planned the misunderstandings.

Klein also kind of gets lucky with how quick they are to assume positive stuff about him. One of the characters hears him mention some fallen god and immediately assumes Klein must be a god as well because Klein “spoke casually”

It's not really that simple, all of this is built on the very first basic premise that Klein was able to whisk everyone away from wherever they were and gather them above the fog. This was the most unshakeable foundation upon which Klein built a lot of b*llsh*t which makes it possible for others in the LotM world to believe him more easily. His first move itself was out of their scope of imagination so the follow up is understandable. In the whole LotM world that was shown in book 1, THO was the only other organisation which was able to have a gathering as supernatural as Tarot Club so it makes sense that the other members were easily accepting of Klein's words. Saying that the TC members easily accepted anything Klein said just like that is doing disservice to characters like Hanged Man, Magician, Hermit and Star. While some members are truly gullible towards Klein (Justice, Sun), there were also others who were actually careful about such matters.
