The royal bastard of House Vasquer, Argrave, changed after his stay studying magic at the Tower of the Gray Owl. The sickly man's awkward posture and cruel behavior have been replaced with a neat dignity and acerbic wit. Though once listless, he now strives towards his goals with a life-or-death tenacity. Most come away thinking he seems to know too many details about too much. Few can claim to know his motives or his goals.
Yet behind that confident appearance, the primary contributor for an open-world RPG's wiki battles existential dread and things far beyond his ken as he struggles to adapt to a grim, gothic fantasy world mirroring his favorite game. The prospect of fighting against a world-ending calamity loses all of its appeal when it transitions from entertainment to reality. Argrave is spurred towards unwanted heroism to preserve his life as he struggles desperately to keep this sinking ship afloat.

does mc learn the sword ?
Does it have comedy? Does it have romance? These are important factors so are they there?
Came looking for copper, but I found gold.
Hmm everyone saying good thing about this... let's go for another read
Read to CH 194: An absolutly incredible read. From the writing of the characters to their development to the overall storyline writing, description, devlopment, power scaling etc. Is absolutly top teir. I have read many many many novels on this site that i have thuroughly enjoyed and a couple in my top 5. A good reference would be my first time reading TBATE yet I personally feel this novel is written much better in all aspects especially the MC coming to terms with his new world. Incredibly well written. The 'system' isnt even a system or truly makes an impact and Even the love interests and conflicts go against the grain to create something original from the norm and is well written. Massivly reccomended, if blade and sorcery is your tea and even if its not, after a few chapters i bet youll be clung on to someone at the very least. I expect this novel to be top 10 in no time and rightfully so. Of all the 100s of novels ive read this is the sole one i intend to monitarily support
Anyone know if this has illustrations? Can't find a discord so far
What a weird mc, it's nice, but so different, he feels like what you'd expect from someone in his position to do, I mean, he threw up from the sight of blood, but still pushes on despite the depression that's obviously being picked up on by those around him, and he's not op, roughly 80 chapters in so far and he's following the standard path to power, he ain't op at all, I love how normal it is lmao
Absolutely goated novel, see it staying in the top 20 consistently in the future, if not top 5-10 material
I'm lost. House Parbon and Mateth is supposed to be in the south. Yet how is Veid in the north when they attacked Mateth. Burnt desert is behind house parbon but then if vied is in south adjoining mateth how can both desert and snow be at the same place or even so near. Where is jast abd dragon capital in all this can someone please clear out this for me. My mental map is f*cked.
