“Save the Messiah Guild?”

The surprise in Gorbachev’s voice was clear as he picked up one of the individually wrapped pieces of chocolate that Oh Se-chan bought him as a gift.

“Does a hero work for benefits? You’re not asking them to give you a reward when you save them right? What’s most important is that they wouldn’t attack the benefactor who saved them. At least while they’re wearing their mask.”

Gorbachev didn’t respond, instead, he ate a piece of chocolate and watched as Oh Se-chan put a couple in his pocket.

After chewing for a few seconds with a firm expression, he said to Oh Se-chan.

“So it’s reverse psychology.”

Oh, Se-chan’s plan was simple.

He wanted to turn Isaac Ivanov into the savior of the Messiah Guild.

If that happened, the heroic Messiah Guild would take care of their benefactor as best as they could.

“It might be reverse psychology, but it’s still a good method. What’s more, it would be great if the supporters of the Messiah Guild supported him instead.”

The goal wasn’t just the Messiah Guild. With one move, he’d be able to get the support of the countless people supporting the Messiah Guild.

Just as the enemies of the Messiah Guild were viewed as cruel and evil by the world, the Messiah Guild’s benefactor would similarly have their position lifted.

“For the Messiah Guild, if they clear this dungeon, they could say anything…”

Gorbachev relaxed his firm expression and stared at Oh Se-chan.

“But why did you decide to carry out this operation now?”

At this question, Oh Se-chan simply shrugged.

“That’s because I never had a player capable of doing this.”

“Did you really not?”

“Think about it. Who can save the Messiah Guild? The Messiah Guild is overflowing with the best of the best.”

“Ah.”

Only then did Gorbachev realize the truth about Oh Se-chan’s words.

Not just anyone could become the benefactor of the Messiah Guild.

Saving the Messiah Guild would be something that was thought to be impossible. The publicity and amazement, such an action would cause would be intense.

“Is that player named Kim Woo-jin really that good?”

Implementing this now meant that he truly had faith that Kim Woo-jin was stronger than those members of the Messiah Guild.

“Have you ever seen me spend money if it wasn’t necessary?”

Spend money.

Gorbachev nodded at those two words.

Seeing Oh Se-chan spend more money without hesitation was something Gorbachev had never seen before and it was probably something he wouldn’t see in the future.

“That’s true.”

Gorbachev moved onto the next thing he wanted to talk about.

“The question is when the truth is exposed…are you confident you won’t get caught?”

Unless the Messiah Guild was useless, they would eventually investigate and realize that Isaac Ivanov was in fact a counterfeit identity.

“I might get caught.”

Oh, Se-chan wasn’t completely confident that he’d be able to evade capture.

“If Russia suddenly had a German-level wave of democracy and all the corruption committed by those in power was revealed while all the higher-ups sat in their offices sipping vodka and watching TV, I’d be caught in a year.”

Gorbachev laughed at his words.

“You don’t have to worry too much then.”

That was more reliable than anything.

“Then that should be enough for the formalities.”

“You’re leaving?”

“Because the company is expanding, there is a lot of work to be done. We must also try our best to keep Isaac Ivanov’s true identity undetected.”

“Yeah, we should encourage more corruption.”

Following Gorbachev’s words, Oh Se-chan rose to his feet. As he got up, he took another chocolate and put it in his pocket.

Gorbachev couldn’t help but shake his head.

“Why do you keep putting the chocolate you brought as a gift in your pocket?”

“Huh?”

Oh Se-chan gave a look of surprise and checked the chocolates in his pocket.

“Ah, it’s a habit, a habit. Every time I go to a restaurant or bank, I always bring away all the candy that they have there. Haha!”

Oh Se-chan gave an awkward smile and Gorbachev shook his head again.

“Ah! How is Isaac doing? I hope he’s safe!”

Puk!

The battle ended as the chest of a Black Werewolf was pierced by a spear wielded by an armored Skeleton Soldier.

This signified the end of the incredibly long battle against close to a thousand Black Werewolves.

“Ah…”

“Is it over?”

The battlefield was quiet as no one had the energy to cheer in victory.

They just stared at the skeleton standing over the corpse of the werewolf with a blank look, unsure of what to do.

Everyone had clearly seen what had happened in the battle.

The image of a group of armored skeletons charging into a wave of Black Werewolves was something that would be imprinted into their memories for the rest of their lives.

‘What was that?’

‘What the hell are these monsters..?”

However, no one truly understood what had unfolded before their eyes.

The battle by the Skeleton Soldiers seemed to have transcended their common sense.

It was none other than the captain Kang Young-ji who awoke from her stupor first.

‘I should probably say hello to our savior.’

After making up her mind, she approached Kim Woo-jin who wore a skull mask, and bowed her head.

“Thank you.”

As she expressed her thanks, Kim Woo-jin turned to look at Kang Young-ji through his mask.

“Oh, you might not be able to speak korean…”

It was only then that she remembered that the other was Russian.

“I did…what I had to do”

Kim Woo-jin spat out the Korean in a broken, dry tone.

“Ah.”

Kang Young-ji nodded at that and bowed again.

“Nevertheless, thank you.”

Kim Woo-jin also nodded at her. Following that, he turned his back to her and began to walk away. (TL: So rude KWJ we finally get a good enough female character and you just shun her!)

‘Uh?’

Kang Young-ji’s eyes widened as she watched him walk away.

“Wa-, wait!”

Surprised, she shouted as she started following Kim Woo-jin.

“What now…”

He couldn’t believe she wanted something else after he’d just helped fight such a fierce battle.

However, it wasn’t necessary for him to answer her anyway. As Kim Woo-jin stopped, the Skeleton Soldiers came to surround him, their blazing eyes staring right at Kang Young-ji.

He was intending to truly start hunting in the dungeon from now.

Kang Young-ji swallowed her saliva, along with the words she was about to say.

(TL: Good job woojin, now you’ve gone and scared her. Ugh, I guess we can only wait till next chapter to see what happens.)
