Legend of Concubine’s Daughter Minglan

It was such a great realistic story at the beginning, with unique well developed characters and MC, then the author suddenly dumped the male lead who was the worst person ever, no matter how many times he declared his "true" love for MC and how many times the author tried to make the romance epic etc, it just fell flat for me and made me wonder what happened to the great beginning of the story and why we were only left with disappointment. I know it was meant to be realistic but it just went over the top with trying to make the romance realistic and bearable at the same time, it achieved the opposite effect, for example the MC had no realistic reason to even consider ML so she had to be tricked into marriage. Overall, I regreted reading it because it only brought me disappointment in the end.

The complicated rules and regulation and the relationship between royals and officials are well writen. The tradition of the scholar family and the noble's family is really well-described. no matter your a legal= or illegal daughter you need to follow the family rules. Respect your ancestors, your elders and follow your husband. Our Fl Yao Yiyi a. k. a Sheng Minglan was born in a scholar family which when she take over the child's body is very smart, cunning and a little liar XD i really love her saying' Laugh when someone's laughing. Cry when someones crying and dumb when someones playing dumb' XD. She survive till she got married thanks to her grandma's protection and care which i gave my hands off to the Old Madam Sheng. . . Shes really a principled and smart person never choosing for favorites, taking her grandchildren equally. And, what Im shock the most is the ML HE'S SO CUNNING AND A SLY FOX THAT OUR FL GOT TRAP IN HIS TRAPS XD I never really though hes the ML. . REALLY!! hes so really inconspicuous. His Screen time only count five in my hands when Minglan's still not coming-of-age. Honestly, the author is so awesome. WELL-WRITTEN> PERFECT FOR ME!! I'M TOTALLY HOOKED!! 5/5

It is a story about Yao Yiyi who transmigrated to the body of a concubine daughter named Minglan. It can be quite confusing during the first few chapters and is a slow burn. I think the story starts to pick up after chapter 12 because that is the time Minglan starts caring about her current life. Realistic and good translation. Yes, there are sx scenes, not much and not too detailed. Also, this is one of the stories that I cannot predict what will happen and who is the real ML

the best novel i have read recently i really like it i like how the mc can realistically deal with all the difficulties from a young age also i was confused about the ml for a long time but then i thought they really suit each other This is a very realistic novel in a genre I've been wanting to read for a long time. realistic but not ordinary you should give a try

I so love minglan... this story is so long hope ml wont look for another women ... ill stop reading this if he stop loving minglan.. i rate this 8 stars 😑😑

the novel is quite nice and lovable and the romance doesn't start early unlike other novels also this is quite a great catch for me who is finding a romance novel also this is not an "steamy" novel like my friends said to me


although there is quite a few of "night scenes" after chapter 160 the novel is quite great if you ask me
