The best web novel I've ever read. It was an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish and the plot is super fresh and addicting to read. I cried during certain parts and the worldbuilding is godtier. Praise the fool!

There will be an attempt to limit all the spoilers that can possibly be made, although there would be very minor light spoilers that probably don’t matter (hopefully) so it would be recommended to read first 10 chapters first (reason for spoiler tag). They say that the first 100 chapters are info dumps and are boring, people complain about them being plain and nothing is happening. Let’s face it, if the person cannot weather the storm, they cannot see the rainbow above it. Lord of the Mysteries is the illusive treasure that require hard work and effort to break into, even myself, who can stomach the history textbooks they give out in school, slowed down around chapter 20. I persisted a few chapters every day, thinking about the plain life of Klein. It was simple, I could relate to this as I am just a student who reads web novels for hours at a time. The delicious food being described, the interesting things they did back then, and the very, very, very mysterious things that that just so happen to happen and the author refuses to elaborate upon. There is a very dramatic shift near 200 chapters, and I would recommend to read the first 200 chapters before ever thinking of dropping the novel (long winded introduction, just like this LOTM). It is very clear that Klein is very different from the typical Chinese cultivation protagonist, somewhere in the middle of the spectrum of full on Reverend Insanity kinds, and, well, almost all of the cultivation that have over 2000 chapters. Klein isn’t the only transmigrator, a fact quite soon to be made as some Emperor that says “the taste of a demoness isn’t bad” made sure of, and Klein desiring to go home. This makes it so that he doesn’t want any deep bonds with people, making him eternally lonely. There are a lot of mysteries in this, strange things happening, unexplained things, coincidences and deep plots. Lots of world building and lots of trauma inducing things. Klein attempts to maintain his own humanity, with the thoughts of some 21st century thinker like you or me. It is very easy to relate with Klein, and it’s fun to see him have character interaction. The characters are given life to live, honestly if there was no plot, the characters themselves could carry the stories. As readers, we are enveloped with the story, the characters becoming truly real. The first 200 are like that, but the rest is like the gold at the end of the rainbow, something so beautiful and treasured it is hard to believe it even exists. The story will ensure any fortunate reader, and make the reader develop some traumas. Klein is on a balance of maintaining his humanity, and the readers are on a balance to not become a husk and take care of themselves. The plot thickens, and the power system is very unique, it would be taken up to the readers to decide how to interpret it, the 5 stars come from the magnificent things that come after. Since this is lord of the mysteries, I will leave it mysterious for you, the reader, to discover. Be wary of spoilers, they are tragedies in it of themselves. I personally stayed out of the comment section’s spoiler button, and really enjoyed the atmosphere of mystery. Keep an imaginative mind, keep a curious mind, and keep you sanity as that is the most important thing. Happy reading!

The most amazing book I have read. Top 3 for sure. Every Volume has its own unique appeal and draw, all the characters are so well fleshed out and utilized. Nearly no character or item is ever a throwaway, all of them come back eventually.

Truly incredible. I read this on another website but it truly was a novel that I will never forget. The world building was a work of art and each volume had an incredible ending. Info dump was crazy sometimes but, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. "

Very nice novel. Slight Cthulu + Scp has an *rgy with an original setting. The Power System is probably the freshest thing among fantasy books, I love the supporting characters extremely memorable. Whiners be like he's not slapping young master in the 3rd chapter where's the action?!?

Good read. This book is straight fire. Like, the worldbuilding is next level - the author really went all out creating this crazy magical system that blends science, mythology, and all kinds of other stuff. It's super intricate but still easy to follow, which is tough to pull off.

This book is literally the best one I've ever read. The 2 most wonderful things here are the character development and the plot twists. I don't recall right now who it was(if you're seeing it or if I find you again on a later re read, I'll credit you) but they very accurately said that there's no side quests in this book. The smallest of things(a random example being say, a pen falling) might hold significance way into the book. There are virtually no plotholes here and any that are, will certainly be resolved in the later books. The character development is perfect here. Unlike most books, each of the characters and side characters feel alive in a way which makes me feel really attached to more characters than just Klein which is very novel for me. Further, the various plot twists, the connection of various coincidences and occurrences was wonderful. I now have high hopes for book 2 and later, 3 as well. See most of you fellow readers there

Cuttlefish that loves diving should be Cuttlefish that writes with a burning pen. It's like my dude took all the narcotic substances of the world and decided to make this masterpiece. Without giving any spoilers it is hard to express how wonderful it is, but if I give spoilers then whoever who reads this review will curse me later. I like slow worldbuilding, so Volume 1 was not that bad for me contrary to popular opinion. But if anyone finds it slow, then plow on till chapter 120 or so then you will involuntarily press Next button after each chapter. Ahhh this novel has messed up my sleep schedule, because I just can't tear away from it. So I after finishing it now I can finally take a good long nap. Goodnight.

A true masterpiece. Initially it was a lot info dump so didn't enjoy but once started real, it just kept getting better and better. The way CF weaved the plot and connected it is truly amazing, like one of the important points (grain act and civil exams) for particular ritual at mid-end of novel started from the moment Klein entered the world. Truth about his origin was one of best plot twist in the novel. Even though Klein is protagonist of novel, true mc is king of mushrooms🍄 Every follower should learn bootlicking from the great arrodes😂 And the best slag will always be 🐕💩

So far enjoying the novel. Will continue reading as everytime I finished a chapter new curiosity arises. What I noticed the most are the events that seems like have nothing to do with the plot but bro it connects 💀🥶
