Bags of salt, spices and sugar stacked from inside the shop all the way out into the streets. Merchants loaded with goods going flooded the streets with their carriages.
The air was filled with fragrances emanating from all manner of spices. It was a prosperous, lively city at the side of the oasis. Sounds of metals being hammered and threads being woven were heard all over the place, as smiths and craftsmen were busy at work in their respective workshops.
The banner of the successor of the Kingdom of Swadia — Baron Kant — was hanging on the city gates. The citizens lived peaceful, happy lives, revering their lord from the bottom of their hearts.
Soldiers on the city walls armed with crossbows stood guard over the city, and footmen wearing mail armor patrolled the streets.
The place was one of peace and security.

Probably an unpopular opinion here, but any book that has a system is usually just a disappointment.
too much unnecessary details, the author keeps blabbing useless details, becomes tiring to read, like in the middle of a battle there would be 4 paragraphs explaining useless details
It WAS a good novel for the 630 chapters. After 630 chapters it just when down the hill. I have no idea what happened in chapters 630 and after. I think we are missing a chapter or 2 because it makes no sence. He killed his loyal general because he lost in a battle and had him pulled apart by horses then placing his head outside on spears. Even tho all the people are 100% in control and do their best for him because they worship him as a god. The novel just went full crazy because I don't understand what or why this is happening
Man i really like the novel because i am a big mount&blade warband fan but for fuck sake they keep messing up the names and the swadians people and MC companions its gets to the point of being plain stupid on the part of translator so i had to drop this novel. Because translator keep fucking up MC companions names so bad that its unreadable.
Very weird novel....I just didn't got the story....mc is doing too much at one time I don't like messy Stories....1st author didn't explain about mc transmigration nor about what kind of system mc linked with.... second villains are just popping out of no where like wtf.... demons, sun god descendants...lich..where are they coming without any background story or details.... boring novel with uncertain elements...
In the end, this is Mount and Blade mod collection, turned into a system. Not a bad idea, the names are on default, so no idiotic choices. Of course, the MC is another idiot, but this is the curse of web novelist, never be original! Or wise. Food? Are you telling me my citizens must eat? The food i carried with me will only last 3 days? Big bro system! Help me! Wow, there are 2500+ enemies, and i have around 300 troops total, let's attack them! I'm so smart after all. LOL. Huh? I must pay my troops? What's this? Oh well, big bro system will tailor more quests, and fill my pocket! I summoned a merchant hero, now i can trade the salt that make me an easy target. He want to contact an agent, but i'm so smart! I'll be the one choosing the agent, and i'll go into his castle myself. I'm so smart.
I will try it out and see if its any good
I've added almost all these new releases and now all I gotta do is read them, I don't have a good feeling with some of them tho. But imma check and see
kingdom of swadia...? hold up isn't that a kingdom in the OG Mount and Blade warband? lmfao
