Marrying the Soft-hearted Villain
Chapter 93: Are you going to get better soon, Mr. Food Reserve? (3)

Ruan Qiuqiu spent less than half an hour to make a rope that was two meters long from the tough and dry vines from the storage room and a torn piece of animal skin. She put the rope into her backpack.

With everything ready, Ruan Qiuqiu picked up the spear and was about to set off. Before leaving, she glanced at Mr. Gray Wolf. Nothing had changed in his appearance from the last several days; his face was still deathly pale with nasty scars.

She might be imagining it, but it seemed as if there were less dark spots on Mr. Gray Wolf’s face, which greatly improved his attractiveness. He looked just like a sleeping beauty wolf, waiting for a knight to rescue him.

Ruan Qiuqiu slowly walked over to the bed. As she looked at Mr. Food Reserve’s pale and attractive face, she was drawn closer and closer.

By the time she returned to her senses, she had already sat down on the bed and was gently stroking his icy cheek with her fingertips. It was the slightly cold touch that brought her back to her senses. Startled, she pulled back her hand. Her heart was beating faster. She must have been single for too long to find a wolf demon so handsome.

Wait no, she wasn’t single anymore. Gray wolf Tianluo was also very handsome indeed… He had saved her many times too…

The more she thought, the more chaotic her thoughts became. Ruan Qiuqiu bit her bottom lip hard, trying to use pain to calm herself down. She put the spear down and frantically fanned her face with her hand.

Once she had calmed down a bit, she questioned her recent actions. She was being so silly.

Ruan Qiuqiu took a deep breath, shook her head, and did her best to get rid of all those wayward thoughts.

Her face was still somewhat red when she picked up the weapon. “Mr. Food Reserve, I’m going out. I’ll come back with herbs.”

Ruan Qiuqiu didn’t delay departing anymore. She left the cave after checking over the cave.

Right after Ruan Qiuqiu had walked to the cave’s entrance, she faintly felt as if something was off. On the snowy ground in the distance, new footprints had appeared.

“Who?!” Ruan Qiuqiu lifted up her weapon. Her expression became serious.

It was quiet for a few seconds, and there was only the sound of her footsteps in the snow.

“My husband is sleeping in the cave. Come out now, or I’ll call for him!” Keeping her guard up, Ruan Qiuqiu mobilized a strand of spiritual energy to check the surrounding area.

“Big sister Qiuqiu, it’s me,” a familiar voice sounded. It was a child’s voice.

Ruan Qiuqiu saw a glimpse of a familiar-looking, little boy standing underneath a nearby giant tree.

“Little Yu?” Ruan Qiuqiu was somewhat surprised. “Why are you here?”

Once Ruan Qiuqiu had confirmed with that meager bit of spiritual energy that there was only Mo Yu under the giant tree, she finally thoroughly put down her guard.

Mo Yu was looking over here with his eyes wide open, but he looked as if he didn’t dare to come over.

She helplessly smiled and walked over. “Are your injuries better?”

The little body shook his head. “There’s nothing wrong. I’m very healthy.”

Before Ruan Qiuqiu had time to say anything else, Mo Yu, who was afraid that she would drive him away, quickly explained, “Big sister Qiuqiu, I’m okay. I came here to go find herbs with you.”

His little face was unhealthily pale, but he was tightly gripping the bone stick. “It’s very dangerous for you to walk in the forest by yourself. I know a slightly safer path that my older brother found before.”

As Mo Yu continued to speak, his voice grew quieter and sounded increasingly guilty, “Big sister Qiuqiu, I’m sorry for not telling you about it yesterday… I hurried over here as soon as I woke up. Luckily, you haven’t left yet.”

Ruan Qiuqiu looked at the child’s reddened eyes and softened her expression.

She wasn’t angry at all that Mo Yu hadn’t immediately shared this information with her. It was normal that Mo Yu would be more cautious. Plus, it wasn’t easy to find a safer path where one wouldn’t encounter large beasts. It might have taken his older brother, Mo Mao, countless challenging attempts at hunting before he discovered this path.

She leaned over and ruffled his hair. Looking at him with their eyes level, she comfortingly said, “That’s okay. Little Yu, you were planning on telling me this from the start, right? And you hurried over here today too. There’s no need to blame yourself. If an apology is needed, I should be the one to apologize first. It’s my fault that you vomited blood yesterday.”
