Giving this review a 5 star not just to balance the ratings but also because I think this book deserves it. This novel is lowkey a gem. If you want a smart, laidback, and chill mc then you're in for a treat. Remember that this is also a comedy book alongside slice of life and action so don't take things too seriously. World Building 6/5 It's just so good that I'm amazed at how detailed and cohesive this world is. From the sects to the kingdoms it all is explained in amazing detail and was very well thought of. Translation 5/5 The translation is superb, the translator does a very good job translating this novel and the grammar has no problems. The only problem is not the translator's fault but the nature of this book. This is a Chinese novel through and through so it may be a bit hard to get used to. (Make sure to read translator notes at the end of chapters as it explains some of the confusing bits that cannot directly be translated to English) Character building 4/5 MC is incredibly well done with a lot of action revolving around him. He seems more like a Saitama kind of character with more emotions. Remember that the mc came to the city to retire, not to go skirt-chasing at princesses and beauties. He only ends up entangled in all the mess he was trying to run away from and now has to resolve them. The other side characters are all alive and surprisingly very smart (most of the times haha). Side notes: There is romance in this novel and after reading around a couple hundred chapters I'm more inclined to believe that this might be a harem. The romance is slow but there is steady progress. If you think the mc rarely shows his feelings due to a backstory story which will be shown in the later chapters. The mc still admits his feelings towards his love interest/s relatively early on into the book (around 300 chaps). There are misunderstandings in this novel but most of the melodrama is surprisingly resolved due to the inference of side characters and love interests which took me by surprise. IMO Comedy and slice of life is the main genre in the first few hundred chapters and it slowly turns into action after all the world-building is in place. The jokes are quite funny but it gets a bit old after it's repeated a lot which is something I quickly got over of. Eventually the humor and jokes do go back to where it's still funny without it being too overused. TLDR: Very good novel and is one of the few novels where I think it gets better the more you read. So if you enjoy it stick through the ride, it gets better.

This novel is good, except for one thing that is the MC is not committed to chase the girl he likes. In the novel is know as powerful one but still he rarely shows his power he laid back and lazy. . . fun to read
