MARVEL: GAME MAKER SYSTEM
Chapter 92: Tony Reaction

Seeing that Tony Stark was doing a live stream of Fortnite, Alex decided to jump in and see what his reaction would be when he released the game.

After Tony celebrated with Pepper his victory in the Fortnite tournament, Tony started to study the crown and heard that it was actually slowing down the rate of Palladium poisoning in his body a lot, which surprised him a lot.

Despite this apparently not being a definitive cure, a crisis that Tony was feeling for feeling that he was going to die in a short time slowed down a little, even slightly changing Tony's thoughts, who already wanted to say goodbye to this world, now to enjoy the time that this crown managed for him quite efficiently to heal himself.

When Jarvis let him know that Fortnite was scheduled to launch today, Tony decided he would try it out for himself.

As he had bought Minecraft to try out the Fortnite beta previously, Tony decided to jump into Minecraft first and even open a livestream to help spread the word as a small way of saying thank you.

But despite not having yet entered Fortnite, the amount of viewers in the room was immense, especially for an account as recent as Tony's, which only made a single live stream in history, the amount of viewers was 1 million people within minutes of Tony starting this, mostly curious about Tony Stark, and many curious to see how he would react to the real Fortnite, as the reaction he had during the Beta was pretty funny to most people.

Then in a few minutes, while Tony was checking out one of the famous cafes at HyCoffe stores, which was set up all over Hypixel City, a notification that Fortnite was released appeared in front of Tony on a floating golden screen.

Without thinking twice he clicked to be able to enter the game, Tony was surprised that he heard a different logout animation, while before he just felt his vision going black and he would log out, now a white light came from the sky, as if he was abducting him, before his body fell apart as well as sadly when the player died in Fortnite.

With his vision changing, he found himself inside a bus, unlike the bus Fortnite players had to get on which was something with an older appearance, this bus was now much more comfortable.

Confused by this, Tony looked out a window and saw only stars passing by at high speed, as if the bus was traveling from one universe to the next.

"Is this supposed to be the Fortnite loading screen?" Tony asked Chat, curious about that, since the other time he didn't have that.

[To get really comfortable.]

[Damn, what a beautiful view from the window!]

[If I wasn't at work right now...]

The trip on this bus took a minute, which was pretty quick considering he was transferring from a game as grand as Minecraft to another game as detailed as Fortnite, which would probably be quite processing intensive, something Tony thought was quite understandable.

Feeling the comfort of the bus, even a little luxury, Tony had a very comfortable expression. Despite being still a little sullen with the game, I could see that after the rewards he received from winning the championship a few days ago, Tony already had a little more gratitude for Mojang, even if Notch had touched him and had not asked authorized to wear his armor, but thinking about the crown he received, the crown was more valuable as it couldn't be bought for money anywhere in the world.

So he wasn't forcing himself to trash talk the game as badly as he did on the first live stream.

But as soon as Tony saw something wrong, he wouldn't miss the opportunity to make some sarcastic comment or something, since that was part of his personality, the only difference would be that now he wasn't actively looking for flaws in the game.

Slowly the bus began to slow down, until it stopped with the door open to a darkened room.

Confused, Tony was a little afraid, but being watched by millions of people, he automatically took a step forward, passing through a short dark corridor before the vision of him changed to a very comfortable apartment.

Like the bus it came on, this apartment wasn't shabby, but managed to convey a sense of understated luxury by using the concept of minimalism well.

The first thing he saw was a living room, with a large sofa for four people, a very comfortable carpet on the floor, and furniture that was a little simple, but that went well with the minimalist design that it had.

This apartment could hardly be considered as a rich person's home, but even Tony, who was used to living in extreme luxury, felt that such a place was cozy.

[What a beautiful apartment!]

[Could I live in a place like this?]

[In my country this would already be considered a luxury mansion!]

[If I play Fortnite and have an apartment like this, I'll only sleep in the game!]

Unbeknownst to the public, the idea of using a virtual apartment as their home wasn't as outlandish as it would have been just a few days ago.

The main factor for this change was that Fortnite's graphics were very realistic, if Tony's Skin wasn't a generic human version of Steve from Minecraft with glowing eyes and a golden crown on his head, they would think this was a video made with a movie camera.

So seeing something that realistic like that made people disregard that this was just a bunch of data and think about how comfortable it would be to live in this virtual place.

Upon exploring the place a little and not finding any instructions, he heard that that apartment had an elevator.

It seemed to be the only way out other than the door he went through from the bus.

Curious, he entered the elevator and saw that when switching from the buttons to the other floors, as he was used to, there was actually a touch screen where he could select where he wanted to go.

"I think this is to select which lobby I'm going to wait for? Is this going to be something like Hypixel?" Tony asked with a raised eyebrow.

Looking at the options curiously, Tony just looked at the images and selected one that he found to be visually pleasing.

To check his thinking, as soon as he stepped off the elevator to the seat he'd selected, Tony was entranced by the view.

He had selected an image that looked like an Indian hotel he stayed at once in the past, a place that had blended nature very well with the modernity of the city, making something that looked like the fairy tale books.

Of course, a hotel as unique as this one was extremely expensive, and curiously understated, being known only to the wealthy upper classes.

When leaving the elevator, Tony's vision was even better than he imagined, it was as if he had gone to a medieval city, something that looked like an attraction in a Disney park.

Ding

A notification noise came up, waking Tony from his stupor, followed by a holographic window appearing in front of him.

This time the screen was a little familiar as the design of it reminded Tony of the screen he used in the Fortnite beta, i.e. this was just an improved and optimized version of the Fortnite screen he knew.

This floating blue screen in front of him showed his friends list, an option for him to add other friends and also an option for him to be able to control the game without having to walk from place to place, in case he was tired or was someone very anxious.

As long as he wanted to, he could control everything there through that blue screen without even having to leave the apartment to play. But of course, as someone who came for the experience it would bring him, Tony just ignored this screen and looked around curiously, wanting to experience this for real.

Looking around the experience was quite different from what he had walking in the Hypixel, although the Hypixel was quite impressive the square look of the city still made it look like players were watching a children's movie or something with the Minecraft graphics , but as Fortnite's realistic graphics already gave it a very different feel.

When Tony was playing for the first time he was so tense with fear of other players killing him that he didn't even have that much time to observe the city and the quality of the structures, especially when he was in the tutorial since Notch was bothering him all the time and he got so irritated that he didn't pay much attention to things.

But now that he was able to calmly observe and talk to the viewers of the live broadcast, Tony began to realize how different it felt to be there in that very realistic world, it was as if the thought was a game just disappeared from his head, in his brain it's just considered as something real!

When he looked around and saw a large amount of curious players coming out of the elevators of other buildings, looking around just like him trying to understand what was connected.

Thankfully, seeing so many people so close together in the same standard Fortnite Skin or Minecraft outfit made him snap back to reality and realize that this really was just a game and that they were all players that were in the lobby.

Getting closer Tony could see the names above people's heads, even with color differences, just like in Minecraft, but as he didn't know much about Minecraft, he didn't worry about it.

These head names, different from when he was in the tournament, were probably for players to be able to recognize their friends when they meet each other in lobbies, as they didn't use a real in-game appearance.

Seeing the amount of different things in front of him, Tony couldn't help but get excited, ignoring the players and starting to explore the place.

The most exciting thing was to think that theoretically this was supposed to be just a BattleRoyal shooter, but Tony already discovered so much new stuff that he was excited to know what he would find out next!
