Chapter 1224: A Trip to the Snowy Peaks

After crafting weapons for Isabella and Sylphy, Jiang Fei still had some Valium to spare but it was not enough to make Hua Mulan a spearhead. Ariel and Nina had no need for weapons as they fought using energy projections and shields, not physically. Having a weapon would not grant them any advantage.

Isabella, being a truly powerful fighter, had only become much stronger than before, living up to the title of the Destroyer. Sylphy on the other hand was not as… destructive as Isabella could be. In comparison, Isabella with her domain ability activated would be akin to a nuclear bomb. Sylphy, on the other hand, was like a surgeon. She might be as powerful as Isabella when it came to dealing with Unknowns, but when it was a battle against Metahumans, Sylphy was just like a Death Reaper; a silent entity with no presence that could reap your life away without you even knowing it.

One day before the day of reckoning, the last batch of New Saint's Guards NPC girls were revived. Jiang Fei sent them off to Isabella for training as he went his own way to make his preparations.

"0543, how are all the equipment I've ordered?" Jiang Fei asked.

"They are all ready to be deployed, captain," 0543 replied. Even though she would blatantly betray Jiang Fei when Akatziris ordered her to, she was still Jiang Fei's support system. She would, as long as it was within her parameters, support Jiang Fei with all her might.

"Thanks."

Jiang Fei called for Ariel and the two of them went to the Snow Mountain Sect which was where Jiang Fei's base was located close to. He did not need to rely on Ariel but his own two feet to reach the Snow Mountain Sect's doorstep.

"Mr. Jiang Fei! Welcome!" The guardsmen who were standing guard outside the sect greeted Jiang Fei. It was awkward for them since they were all either the same age or slightly younger than Bai Zongwei. Hence, based on seniority, they should be addressing Jiang Fei as Senior or even master. Even so, they could not bring themselves to address Jiang Fei in such a manner since he was just too young. In the end, the best way to address him was to add the title "Mister".

"Thanks! Please announce my arrival," Jiang Fei said as he laughed awkwardly. To be honest, he did not care about honorifics. He was already playing on a whole other level, in the realms of Level 5 Metahumans and an advanced alien race.

"What are you saying? Mr. Jiang Fei is a welcomed guest in the Snow Mountain Sect. Please do not hold any reservations. Please treat this sect as your own! If you would allow me, I'll be more than happy to be your guide!" cried the doormen. They knew very well that Jiang Fei was extremely friendly with their grand master. How else would they treat him?

As they proceeded into the sect, they came to a larger building that was better decorated and fashioned, and with Bai Wanli waiting inside.

"Welcome! Ji---" Bai Wanli cut himself off. He was so used to addressing Jiang Fei as "Ah Fei" or "little Jiang Fei". Now, he could not call him that lest he would be dishonoring him. Then again, he could not label Jiang Fei as senior since he was old enough to be Jiang Fei's grandfather!

"Please. Allow me to relieve you of this conundrum. Just call me by my name," Jiang Fei chimed in as he smiled. Jiang Fei had shed blood, sweat, and tears with him and there was a bond between them. Then again, he could only feel this way because of his strength. He had killed more Level 5 Metahumans than his fingers could count.

"Alright. What are you doing here, Mr. Jiang Fei?" asked Bai Wanli as he finally decided to just use "Mister". As a veteran martial artist, the man had the utmost respect for all Level 5 grand masters. He would kill himself before he dared to place himself next to Bai Shien. In the end, the best, most "neutral" manner to address Jiang Fei was "Mr. Jiang Fei".

"Oh, I'm here to see Senior Bai Shien."

"Very well. Please wait here for a while. I shall inform the grand master of your arrival."

As soon as the name "Bai Shien" was dropped, Bai Wanli quickly leaped to his feet and sped off to the mountains. However, before he could exit the building, a howl-like laughter was heard echoing from the mountains. It was none other than Bai Shien himself. He had arrived.

"Brother Jiang Fei! How nice of you to see me!" said Bai Shien. Before he could even finish his sentence, Bai Shien had appeared in front of Jiang Fei. A gust of wind blasted into the building only after Bai Shien appeared. That was not teleportation. That had been him moving faster than wind.

"Greetings, Grand master…"

"Greetings, Grand master…"

As soon as Bai Shien appeared, everyone in the entire hall dropped to their knees and kowtowed to Bai Shien. That was how a Level 5 grand master was greeted in their respective sects. To be fair, that was how Jiang Fei should be greeted if he was older by several years.

"At ease. Brother Jiang Fei, on your feet. Do not feel the need to bow to me that way. Come, let us retire to my place. It's more quiet there," said Bai Shien as he held Jiang Fei's wrist.

Before Jiang Fei could even stand, he was dragged so fast that everything around him became blurred. The sound of wind dragging beside his ears was so deafening that he could feel it! It was that fast! It felt like he was dragged away by a F22 fighter jet!

Even though Jiang Fei was at the Pinnacle stage of Level 4, he was nowhere close to how strong a true Level 5 fighter was. He was only able to survive such whiplash because of 0541's specialized crafted skills.

While Jiang Fei was being dragged like a ragdoll, Ariel followed closely behind. As her physical strength was not on par with a true Level 5, she could never achieve such speeds to match Bai Shien. However, using her teleportation skills, the girl appeared next to Jiang Fei like a broken video that was buffering constantly due to bad internet connection.

From a further perspective, Ariel's movement across the entire mountain was repeated short-range teleportation. This feat was not the same as teleporting once as any Level 5 Metahuman could teleport to the moon and back. The key point was teleporting rapidly, repeatedly! This required extremely high mental process speeds, nothing a long range teleporter could replicate.

"Oh my! You have my respect, little sister!" said Bai Shien. It was supposed to be praise yet there was hardly any tone of positivity in his voice. He could feel the power in Ariel and deduced that she was not a true Level 5 Metahuman. Even so, her feat in teleportation was commendable enough to make him actually praise her.

"Thank you. This one is unworthy," said Ariel, being polite, before retreating behind Jiang Fei.

"Hoho! Come come! Let's talk here," said Bai Shien. Seeing that Ariel was not the kind to start empty conversations, he went ahead and dragged Jiang Fei deeper into his cavern.

"So, Brother Jiang Fei, what brings you to my humble abode?" Bai Shien asked as he poured a cup of tea.

"Actually, I have something to ask of you," said Jiang Fei.

"Speak! Don't be shy! We're amongst friends here!" said Bai Shien with the most welcoming smile.
