Summary

Zorian is a teenage mage of humble birth and slightly above-average skill, attending his third year of education at Cyoria’s magical academy.

He is a driven and irritable young man, consumed by a desire to ensure his own future and free himself of the influence of his family, whom he resents for favoring his brothers over him. Consequently, he has no time for pointless distractions or paying attention to other people’s problems.

As it happens, time is something he is about to get plenty of. On the eve of the Cyoria’s annual summer festival, he is killed and brought back to the beginning of the month, just before he was about to take a train to Cyoria.

Suddenly trapped in a time loop with no clear end or exit, Zorian will have to look both within and without to unravel the mystery before him. And he does have to unravel it, for the time loop hadn’t been made for his sake and dangers lurk everywhere…

Repetition is the mother of learning, but Zorian will have to first make sure he survives to try again — in a world of magic, even a time traveler isn’t safe from those who wish him ill.

This is peak fiction, I hope the author make the sequel one day, because there are some things I want to know:Spoiler Alert 1: Did Kael find a cure for the weeping? Because I'm sure this is what he is researching... 2: Did the wolf shifters' tribe accepted that girl? I really feel bad for her 3: How was Zach's and Zorian's lifes after all of this? 4: What are the impact in the world made by those notes Zorian gave to people that helped him in the loop? 5: What is (inserts the inspellible name of that Lich) next moves know that he want Zorian's head and to take his Crown back? 6: What's the true about Primordials, gods and The Dragon Below, and what happened to the Grey Hunter and her offsprings that absorbed the essence of The One of the Flowing Flesh?

Impressive time loop story, excellent character development with very much living characters, fantastic storyline with curves and the magic, oh the magic. I read A LOT and I have strict criterias. Despite that, I can wholeheartedly say that this novel is undoubtedly one of the best web novels you can find out there in the internet.

Im currently on the last arc(major spoiler]Spoiler Alert when they got out of the loop. . and maybe im reaching my own conclusions but i gotta say, silverlake's betrayal is pretty stupid. She dies if she fails to release the primordial. She also dies after the primordial gets released and the angels descend to take care of it along with the extra mark bearers.

Spoiler tag is corrected. Make sure the spoiler tag completely covers all the elements of the story.

This was an incredibly worthwhile read. Despite the name, there is no literal mother that is the focal point of anything. "Repetition is the mother of learning, " is the phrase the name comes from. Everything is written with a purpose in mind. Zorian is not the typical main character that starts off overpowered and conveniently has plot armor to save the day. Instead, we have a main character that can only rely on his own resourcefulness and prudence to make choices. The realistic responses to problems the main character faces makes the novel so much more relatable and enjoyable to read. Highly recommended! (Snippets taken from my full review of the novel)

Spoiler Alertim at the part where they met the red robed third time traveller for the first time and all the spiders died. . . It would be pretty stupid if the red robe doesn't recognise that zorian was also a time traveller. . . Red robe killed zorian in the beginning of next restart so he was absent for the whole month of that restart. . . and red robe is a smart guy so he could've easily figured out zorian's identity after seeing that zorian went missing since the beginning of that month. . . If the red robe doesn't recognise zorian's true identity it would be just lame lazy writing

Spoiler Alert Yes, I thought about it too when I was at that point. But red robe doesn't suspect the time traveler is a student and that is why he doesn't bother checking the academy at all. Clearly, he is not a genius nor a detective, but just a slightly smarter human.

I do not think it was lazy writing at all. Instead, I think there may be parts you missed out in reading or will encounter soon as you continue reading. Spoiler Alert It is explained that Zorian covered his tracks in planning his suicide in Ch 26. "If [Red Robe] hadn't discovered Zorian's identity in the previous restart, he probably wouldn't discover it at all – a month was ample time to track him down if Red Robe knew where to look." -Ch 27. Considering the entire world is part of the time-loop and they teleported in, that mystery time-looper could have been from anywhere. Zorian is not local and normally wouldn’t have contact with Cyoria’s underground, so he’s not a prime suspect. It's also time-inefficient to clear suspicions of others being time-travelers. It took Zorian many months with only his single classroom's worth of students. Zorian also wasn’t the only one missing that month. Many were. Red Robe never saw that Zorian was missing within the 1-month time limit.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiight? Like 1 chapter consists of 5-10 chapters on other novels. Like. Yeah it's very satisfying

This is probably one of the best novels in existence. Like Lord of The Mysteries it is Not comparable to most of the stuff on here. Minimum 9/10 so I recommend you read this if you see this comment. Patience is needed though but probably best story I’ve read over the years
