I have to wonder if I'm reading the same book as everyone else reviewing. They all say that he survives through trickery and deceit, but so far all the times he's avoided death have been entirely coincidence, and if anything his "wit" (idiocy) has served to put him in circumstances that he never would have survived barring absolutely insane plot armor. For example, when he discovers that the regressor hates the government, he immediately says he's a government agent, and then when she (understandably and predictably) tries to cut him in half (like he just watched her do to a government golem), he flails his arm and through a one in a trillion coincidence deflects the sword swing of a master swordsman wielding a legendary sword, one that was also invisible. Add that to the super strong character who literally acts like a dog and follows his orders without a question, and it's hard to see his continued survival as having anything to do with his own capabilities So yeah, the sheer level of luck and plot armor driving this story is mind boggling. That said, the story is well written and the translation is well done, even if some of the comedy is a bit off putting. A better read than many other stories. However, about a hundred chapters in and the story's still in the prison arc, which is starting to drag.

This novel is absolutely fantastic. The side characters feel incredibly real, and the world-building is masterfully done. But what truly captivates you is the main character he's an unreliable narrator he gives the impression of being selfish in his monologues yet his actions throughout the story reveal his true nature as a good hearted person there are also many mysteries surrounding his background adding an extra layer of intrigue to the story.

Such an amazing story with a very witty MC who loves to go about his life with a flair! The female characters are also really well written and not annoying at all which is usually the case for a harem. Btw there's no indication that it'll be a harem yet but there are signs so I'm not sure. Either way, the writing and flow make it such a fun read!

It would have been great with another MC, as the rest was pretty interesting. . . but this person is so annoying i can't even find the will to proceed past chapter 30. I can't fathom why someone would like him, besides, he's not intelligent at all. One would expect that being good at survival, he would be, but he's bad with words, his thought process is ridiculous, and, finally, personality-wise, he's disgusting. It's like the author wanted a human cesspool and mixed all the bad traits someone could have.

MC is an unreliable narrator and he is a good person explaining why he behaves like this would be a big spoiler for future chapters that haven't been translated yet

Why are you reading this review, read the story already. This story is a journey of character development and growth, concepts and theorem, survival and comedy. Everything about this novel is top notch and is by far one of the best webnovels I've ever had the pleasure of reading, the writing is very psychologically engaging as well, not many webnovels succeed at pulling you in as well as this one. This webnovel has some of the best writing and characters I've come across, definitely better than what webnovels have been known for, I seriously, wholeheartedly recommend this novel to anyone. Also, even though it has Harem in the genre section, it's really not a Harem novel.

Props to the author. This novel not only has a well constructed setting but also an amazing way with dialogue and description. There is not a single fault I can find with the way this brilliant story was made.

The eloquent language use, and the balance of comedy is absolutely glorious in this novel, and I assure you the harem tag isn't the main focus. (Even now, at chp 138 there has not been a harem, only one love interest. ) The main trio is well thought out, and the comedy isnt overwhelming or cringy! The side characters do need some more fleshing out, but I'm sure we'll see improvement as more chapters are translated. The consistent word, name and title usage in the novel enhances the reading experience, and I breezed through all updated chapters in just one sitting! It keeps you hooked with how creatively the MC uses his mind reading power and his slight of hand tricks, especially in battle. I really suggest you give this novel a shot, read at least ~20 chapters before you really judge anything, it won't take long, and you may find it worth your time!
