I love this story so much even if it got me sleepless nights bc of all the plot twists. Each ending is ingeniously written so that you'll be curious of what happens next. That is the exact reason why I continued this novel until the end!!!

Orv feels like solo leveling or an mc with over powered plot armour but feels realistic and the world building is better tbh, but it is something much more. This novel is something of it's own, the story, each characters are good too.

Dude the last few hundreds of chapters are light so good and will give any reader a crisis and want to lie down and break down. Finish before reviewing, I’m sure your opinion will change

I will but I'm continuing it side by side with it's manhwa, like reading the novel then reading the chapters in manhwa for visual satisfaction, so it'll take a long time for me to finish it.

I find it funny that you mention plot armor because there is actually a reason for the plot armor😏 I think it is mentioned at the end, right before the epilogue in „the most ancient dream“. I wonder whether you reached that point by now?

This is an emotional tragedy that has multiple twists and turns. The first few chapters feel forced to set the tone and world the characters are in, then the chapters start unraveling into a sickening masterpiece. It’s mostly a character driven novel, there will be heartbreaking, there will be smiles, and a lot of tearing up. Three ways to survive the apocalypse, the novel that Kim Dokja reads, suddenly becomes reality and the apocalypse started. The power system is strange and really confusing and difficult to describe without spoiling a whole lot so go figure. This novel is driven by characters, at first it wasn’t and seemed kinda bland. Then some scenarios got difficult and the pressure really developed characters. All I can really say that the last 151 chapters are an emotional roller coaster and the plot is super in depth and needs time to think. It’s short(ish) and even has a manga adaptation, it basically changes how a person thinks of what is a story, and that is the main reason for 5 stars. It would have been 4 since the start, but the central theme and the ideas behind what a story does is so rich and awesome that it truly rockets it into greatness. Go ahead and read it, see for yourselves.

The best thing about this novel is the relationships of our MC with other significant characters, accepting their strenght and realizing that in order to survive everyone is essential. His self-sacrificing mentality isn't a weak personality trait, but an aspect of his that inspires us readers to cheer for him and drives other characters insane. 🤭 I have read this for the first time a few years ago, but I still come back to it because of those reasons. It's a masterpiece! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I think I reread this atleast 4 times by now… that‘s just how fascinated I am by this every time. It is truly a masterpiece and definitely worth the read. It is well written (translated), I don‘t believe the pace to be too fast or slow and most of all, it talks about several things that personally made me think back on life a lot. You don‘t have to, though, shutting your brain off and just enjoying the read is absolutely, totally fine.

It was such a good read. A realistic portrait of how loosing someone so close affects all your relations. As long as you remember, your world doesnt really get over it. I wish author would have given a fixed ending. But leaving it to Reader's imagination is a good change as well.

I don't know why I won't leave a review when I finish this, but here we go: it's been half a year since I finished this novel and although I've read better works, that doesn't take away from the genius of this novel, it's done in a planned way, that is, there are no holes in the plot, it has a satisfying ending and the characters, story and writing style are solid. Without giving you spoilers, it's a great novel that won't leave you wanting to keep reading. Recommended

I am aaaabsolutely curious about those better works you mentioned. I read trash of the count‘s family and am currently reading lord of the mysteries and the beginning after the end, so if it‘s one of those three then I don‘t need to be made aware of them. Could you tell me those better works? Because as smn who read orv (and thinks it is a masterpiece) rarely any novels really captivate me unless they‘re like the top of the top (orv raised my expectations way too much🙃)

Just a masterpiece for me can't necessarily be a masterpiece for you. So don't expect too much, besides, even if books are good or masterpieces, if they don't entertain and are very repetitive, I usually leave them. But I like my house of horror. My iyashikei game, the primal hunter. Overgeared. Astral Apostle (although the author does not want to live and no longer writes 😢) 48 hours a day, a sword god in a world of magic, possessing Nothing (It doesn't look like it, but it's good), Realms of Myth and Legend, HP: The Arcane Thief, the ruined death knight, The Legend of Ling Tian, I'm the monarch. Most of them aren't even finished, I've finished a few but I don't remember the names. But those are the ones I read and I like a lot, there are a few more, but they are in doubt if the author will finish them or it is still too early to judge

I absolutely agree. Also, this novel had many concepts that when I thought about them, also kind of enlightened my world. For example, saying that the fables are one‘s being or translated into reality that memories and experiences make you who you are. And when I think about it, if I had different memories, I wouldn‘t be „me“ anymore… also the plot twist at the end was crazy when we found out who the most ancient dream was… and the epilogue just turned everything on the head once more… I loved how they met the most ancient dream as a child dokja and in the epilogue, when they rescue adult dokja, he had become a child by then, kind of closing the circle
