Summary

I became a wizard of the Illusion Magic School and decided to create a virtual reality with illusion magic to play a tabletop role-playing game (TRPG).

It was great to create a virtual reality, but I was in trouble because there were no suitable players. During that time, I received an offer to be the professor from the Royal Academy.

The offer was to use illusion magic to fill the students’ lack of practical experience safely. And so, I became a professor at the academy.

“Send me back, send me back to that world right now-!”

“Outer god, someday an outer god will be our doom, we’ll all die!!”

“I am not the bastard of the Redburn Ducal Family. I am the foremost disciple of the Great Namgung Clan, Namgung Qinghui!”

But it seems there is a bit of a misunderstanding.

This isn’t a spell for dimensional travel, kids. It’s fiction…

pretty good, a lot of freaky moments though, mc is crazy, romance is currently weird, side cast gets maybe too much time to shine, there are many cool abilities in here, a lot of different genres, plot is unique, quite funny at times, panty jokes many, the world building is pretty good, translation is good except some miss spellings and weird sentences at times, and i would probably recommend

TL has this weird thing that goes on for like 50 something chapters where they keep inserting TL notes into the paragraphs. That's normally fine but they do it in a really confusing way here. Story also switches POVs without telling you when it switches sometimes so thats also confusing Misunderstandings appear frequently but most of them seemed organic and not forced. Character interactions flow pretty well in this novel and the characters themselves are usually consistent MC gets less screen time than other MCs due to the very nature of the novel but even in the arcs you barely see him he still sorta has a presence. I can't really think of any plot holes but from what I remember this was it. I think anything else would be a spoiler

Thanks for explaining. Can you reflect more in detail regarding romance?

Romance is definitely there for sure... while I am no connoisseur, it wasn't bad enough to the point where I noticed (like how sometimes it's really obvious that it's forced yk?). MC is somewhat slow in progress, but the progress does show after a while. I think the harem tag is an exaggeration rn though. Side character romances felt pretty good. First one felt a little cliche to me at first, but other than that it didn't seem too bad. Compared to the MC though, the side characters reach their romance a lot faster. Might feel weird to some people since the side characters aren't the MC but it wasn't something I minded (the romances usually made sense to me) I might be biased for this at least but this is what I think for it

Thanks for explaining. Because judging by these tags which have "ecchi" and "harem" but no "romance" tag makes it seem like the character interactions would be cringe and the female leads some trophies to collect for the mc. They should've added the romance tag if its here. Well, i am gonna try it

The ecchi and harem parts are basically for side characters. Our mc hasn't made even a little progress (in the relationship with tower master or anyone else). It's actually frustrating. I mean it's nice and all that the side characters are getting happy ending. But if I project myself from MC's point of view, it feels like i am eating dog food constantly. It's like literally everyone is getting lovey dovey except for the mc. Give him a little romance too for god's sake.

Tbh I liked this novel. It wasn't absolutely perfect but still satisfying. But there are many things that I didn't like as well.1 Firstly the mc is a little crazy. 2 The amount of panty fetish, described here is also honestly kinda lame.3 Again I don't understand why everyone is taking the illusion magic so lightly. Illusion magic has no combat effectiveness. That's the biggest joke I have ever heard. From dominating the consciousness of others to completely destroying it- there's simply no way mind based magic isn't lethal. Yeah it may not be equally destructing to material objects but it's countless times more lethal to living beings than many other elemental magic.4 And I feel the no of misunderstanding is a little too much.Besides i didn't like how characters created by mc getting self consciousness for literally no reason.5 Lastly even though I know there's a reason but i personally don't prefer how mc doesn't know any combat magic . Everyone seems to be kicking him unreasonably.

give me a spoiler, in the end is it just an illusion or did the protagonist make a mistake and really send them to these worlds?

Illusion that somehow made some of the illusionary folks gain their own sentience. Though it will most likely be expanded upon later on in the story. Right now its best to think of it as a simulation using ai where some of the ai become awareish of their situation. However from how it’s progressing I would not be surprised if

I read all 153 chapters of the novel, and what I can say is that it has a very interesting concept, the "TRPG." I'd like to read more novels with this theme. The highlight for me was the Cthulhu session, it was the one I liked the most. I'm not sure if I will return to continue reading, I confess that the current TRPG session, Murin, isn't really something I enjoy, so I kind of skimmed through the final chapters. The reason I don't want to return is, honestly, the excessive use of panties jokes, which for Asian humor might be super amazing, but for me, it feels childish.

My opinion on the work currently (I’ve finished all 152 chapters released so far): the story starts with a somewhat strange writing style. I found it a bit confusing at first (I’d say during the first 7 to 10 chapters). Once I got the hang of it, it became quite fun to read, but the story really only begins with the first TRPG simulation (which takes a while to happen). In my opinion, the story only gets truly good after the third simulation. From that point on, the work becomes a masterpiece. In the simulation genre, this is undoubtedly the best, but I know very few others, so my opinion is highly questionable. In summary: if you manage to get through the first chapters, the story gets good. And if you reach the third simulation, where things truly get great, you won’t regret it.
