Overgeared (WN KR)

The novel is good with solid world building, great side characters, and well thought out arcs. There is just two issues that the writing suffers from. The first thing is that the author has this bad habit of grossly overexplaining the most random details. For instance in one chapter they state that a character shrugged off someones hand, and that should have been it, but instead the author decided to write three more sentences after that explaining why the character could shrug off the hand. Like what? Why? The other issue is that this author has a fantastic ability to undermine the main characters intelligence at any chance given. By chapter 500 the author has stated how much of and *d**t Grid is and how much he has "grown" in the intelligence department at least 50 times. This novel is great for people who are caught up or are simply reading it a few chapters at a time, but it is really easy to get burnt out simply because the authors writing style is not suited for binge reading.

Idk what author smoke but I want some of that too, it was all fun and games until we reached the point in story where it was nearing the end (2-3 bosses remaining, chapter 1950) then author smoked some bad pot and decided to turn this fantasy virtual reality novel into scifi cultivation novel with tons of new concepts and systems aimed solely to somewhat put mc further from end game so he can stretch it for few hundred more chapters with excuse of "exploring new content" possibly like 50 chapters from end of novel

The novel should have ended after he cleansed the hell or when he became Only One Grid and met the goddess, but instead here we are in another cultivation story; they literally changed genre midway from fantasy MMo to cultivation one.

I expected something like lotm or orv writing from this but I found op Mc getting all the girls cliche brain dead story like why it's rank so high is beyond me

This Novel is good, until the 2nd update I feel like we can end without it but I still like that because I feel like Satisfy will need some updates as it had only 1 update before

He started as a nobody who was an egoist and transformed into an overall good person, Some sidecharactes are not so likeable but the story building is great to overcome these flaws. But near the ending the author drags the story with some cultivation arc, which is boring and doesn't really fit in. . . thinking about dropping it because of it

Sooo, im almost caught up with this novel and i felt like reading a review already. This novel is one of the top notch novels out there, there is everything, no stupid overpowering (for 1000 chapters, after that MC gets super OP) , great character development that makes u feel a part of this novel, great world building, not so big and not so small, reasonable i would say. The side characters are MCs on their own, great point of views and one of the most important aspects, it's Funny! I really recommend reading this, it won't make you bored, trust me.

Honestly I just love this nov so much. The world building, character development, and especially the side characters are all so great. Whenever the MC gains a new power it’s always amazing and even though i’m only on chapter 1261 as of now, there’s been countless times i’ve gotten chills from reading a chapter.

Overall, it’s an amazing story so far, and I would highly recommend reading it. The negative reviews about slow MC character progression, while true, does not ruin the story. People don’t change easily or quickly, so his slow progression into being a functioning good person should take a while, if a greedy or kinda assholey MC isnt your thing, just keep reading, and hopefully you’ll come to like him for who he becomes eventually.

one of the first novels i read and i don't regret it, the first novel that got me hooked onto VR novels, and it's always nice to reread this novel and how to see how flesh out it is compared to others. Will always be one of the best in my opinion.
