Chapter 17: Leveling up!

"What the hell is wrong with this bear!?" Ray yelled out.

"Ray, shut up! Thane, can we just toss Ray at it so we can get away!?" Ceilie shouted. They were not only being chased by the three eyed horned bear, but by the wolves and bees, they were previously fighting before, along with every other monster they so happened to run into along the way.

"You know I am a priestess, right? We are not meant to be running for so long." Isabella was sweating from head to toe; her lungs hurt, but she dared not stop running, or she would definitely get eaten alive.

"Damn it!" Thane ran over and scooped Isabella up because she was really starting to lag behind. He then also scooped up Renne, who was also having a hard time. His strength stat was the highest out of all of them, so he could easily run carrying a girl or two.

"Oh, fine! Forget about me, Thane! I'm fine, Thane! I can run for days, Thane!" Ceilie complained, seeing the special treatment the other girls were getting.

"Ceilie, out of all the girls, you are the only one who can keep up with us. If you want to be carried, ask Ray to do it." Thane chuckled. Although, he laughed he did feel slightly bad about not being able to carry her too.

"Screw that I would rather jump in the damn bear's mouth than be touched by that thing. At least the bear is cuter." Ceilie once again shot invisible arrows piercing Ray in the heart.

"[Tailwhip]!" Kana slammed her tail down onto a two headed wolf. She was currently in the process of fighting two two headed wolves that she ran into while looking for monsters to kill to raise her level. "Whoa! Hey buddy, I do not know if you're a male or female, but it is not nice to touch a girl's butt without asking first."

After knocking one wolf for a spin, the other wolf tried to attack Kana just before she landed, almost clawing her butt. "Take this! [Claw!]"

Now Kana could have killed these wolves quickly with her baby breath, but Lysairth restricted her from doing so in order to gain some actual combat experience. When Kana first saw the wolves, she wanted to run away with her tail tucked between her legs once again, but after being scolded by Lysairth, she was forced to fight with them. But once she started fighting, Kana seemed to be having fun.

"Hah! Do you see that? That is what you get for trying to touch this booty!" Kana yelled after sending the second wolf flying, all the while shaking her little dragon butt.

"Kana, stop playing around and kill them, or they will run away." Lysairth had noticed that Kana was not going for any killing moves and had just been whacking them around. Although it was good to practice fighting, if the wolves decided it was time to run, all her work would go unrewarded.

"Fine! [Bite]! [Bite]!" Kana used bite twice in succession, biting the wolves' throats. One would think Kana would have some misgivings about biting a creature to death, but to her, everything that attacked her was food.

*Ding!*

"Hmmm? Lysairth, I just heard a ding sound." Kana was sure she had heard it since it was very loud.

"That sound means you leveled up. You can open your status, and you should see your stats and the number of allocation points you received." Lysairth explained.

"Okay. Status!"

"It says five points… doesn't seem like a lot." Kana frowned, seeing the five status points.

"It is normal for your level. Until you evolve, you will only gain 5 points. After you evolve, it will be 10 points. But the number of levels you will need to gain will also double. Right now, you need to gain 10 levels for your first evolution, but after you evolve, it will be 20 levels. " This world's system seemed to work in a way that kept it from being too easy to evolve. Why this was no one knew. They could only speculate that the gods did not want any lifeforms reaching godhood.

"Well, no matter how long it takes, I will work hard so I can cast cool skills!" Kana didn't mention it, but she also wanted a humanoid form like Lysairth had. But it was mostly the spells she was looking forward to.

"Alright, stick all your points into agility, and then we will continue. We will get you to level three today and then make our way out of the forest. We will find a place outside the forest to make our home base, preferably someplace near a water source." Lysairth did not want to stay inside the forest like they were now since there were always unforeseen factors. It would be better for Kana to come here during the day to train then return to a base camp someplace outside the woods.

"Okay, so agility..." Kana tapped the plus sign next to where it said agility.

"All set!" Kana already felt her body feeling a little lighter.

"Alright, continue! And no more playing around!"

"Yes, Ma'am!" Kana stood up on her hind legs and brought her right paw to her forehead, giving a salute as she answered.
