Amazing read through the 600~800 chapters from there gets a bit less interesting but still pretty good.
However at about ch 1100 the story become boring, kinda clic'e and overall out of context it just shifts the direction and content to something completely different and "random"/ really unnecessary.
But if you avoid those things fucking amazing and interesting, really worth reading!!!!!
For reference I'm currently only about 200 chapters but I'm enjoying the read a lot. There's something really endearing about a transmigrator slowly turning everyone in the middle ages into cowboys via magic. The story itself doesn't really feel like a lot of other novels I've read on this site; it's incredibly well thought out. Additionally, though I dont know enough about the sciences to prove that the logic in the novel is right, the explanations for even the magic the witches use is grounded firmly in reality giving the setting a very complete feeling.
The main characters body was originally a fairly powerless fop, he was granted a small shitty town in the middle of nowhere and is able to thrive thanks to the MCs insanely in depth knowledge of modern technology and application of witch magic to circumvent centuries of progression. So far the novel reminds me of that Indiana Jones scene where the elite soldier flips his sword around in a showcase of his dexterity only to be shot dead by Indy; it's very satisfying to read about armored knights just get torn to shreds by heavy artillery.
Somehow this still doesnt feel overpowered, or maybe the author just has a much softer touch with the approach. Unlike a lot of transmigrator novels that include the main character basically being a god on earth, a trope that I detest, the main character feels a lot more vulnerable. Even if he knows how to make a gun it doesn't mean it's easy, fast, or even possible unless his witch friends help.
In a similar vein though it has some harem elements I'm not that bothered by it. I can't say this will hold up till the end of the series (I'll try to edit this review if my opinion changes by the end) but the relationships developing so far feel pretty natural. I normally disregard harem things, it's rarely done well, but I really dont mind it here.
I'm really digging what I've seen so far, I hope the quality stays consistent.
One of the first book of this kind I read, had to stop halfway because the translation wasn't finished yet.
It's an excellent read until around the middle point of the story. It was good enough to make me reread everything from the beginning once the book was completed.
Too many change of POV, too many situations without much sense, a not really satisfying ending.
Probably worth it because the story is original (MC use his head and technologie instead of powers) but be prepared to have trouble to finish this story
Just one word. Awesome. Story is good. Ending is little bit messy but overall it's awesome story. The storyline goes well with mc development. But it feels like mc will succeed every time he make any thing so you may find it boring some times.
