      Not a spoiler. Keep in mind, whatever Fang Yuan does, there's always a bigger reason behind it. He's extremely pragmatic that he always does things looking at the bigger picture. He does not look at short-term gains(exceptional case being life or death situation); only at future prospects. Also, you'll get your answer eventually.

        If you are at Zombie arc then that means he became a Strength path immortal zombie right? Yeah he was schemed against by Mo Yao , however he doesn't choose Blood Path because of a bigger reason, as Blood Path is heavily frowned upon and will only flourish after a certain event. He never actually planned to become a Blood Path Gu Immortal per se, as the righteous path and demonic paths would easily be able to identify it. At least not yet. Also, he could only ever become either a Strength Path Gu Immortal or Time Path Gu Immortal, reason being, his vital Gu of the two aperture being All Out Effort Gu or SAC. Also, he had higher attainments in Strength Path than Time Path. So he never actually intended to become a Blood Path immortal in the first place.

    I recently finished volume 1, and I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised by how many twists and turns, exciting moments, and jaw-dropping moments there are in those 199 chapters 😭😭. Glory to the Kindest of Them All, Lord Fang Yuan. (I'll be the biggest Glazer, trust 😌)

      Nah, I'd glaze . Tbh, that's just 1% of the novel, there's a lot of jaw dropping moments that will make you jump out of your 40-level ahh chair and slap your knees while breaking down in laughter and gasping for air wishing to forget the whole novel so you can reread and enjoy it again

    I get that the end of the volume brings lots of thrill and action and plot twists and whatnot but... but not every volume of RI could be like that, right? Or are they all the same?

      It's like the beginning of the volume is just preparations and nothing noteworthy happens while the end of the volume is straight up peak So every volume end is peak itself

        yh I get that but sometimes I think this bores the heck out of readers who aren't motivated enough after going through chapters that don't seem to be important (even if it is) and are rather plain. The ability to grip the readers through and through... that's what it has lacked till where I've read. I usually find myself forcibly skimming through some of it because subconsciously I have the feeling nothing matters, in the end the character or thing will only end up dying or breaking apart

        Hmm for motivation, read a bad novel which is just too d*mn boring before reading RI I read ORV before RI and trust me, never had I gotten bore in RI, even the immortal aperture management was fairly interesting as I anticipated what would happen at the end of the volume

      Around 1020 but it is worth it in the end,also you can just take a break bcz the zombie arc is quite boring except after ch 900 when things start to get interesting.I took a break too of 8 months(basically dropped but came back).

        That's because there's lots of world building, lore and character development for the characters to be done in that one arc. There's a lot of ground to cover for the upcoming arcs and chapters that it's done slowly and steadily. So, read it while taking your time,because once you reach the end of the arc, you'll have your mind blown by the Grand Existence known as Gu Yue Fang Yuan. The schemes and manipulations get so crazy and beyond compare that you'll be jumping up and down the bed when reading the last few chapters of the arc due to the hype and sweet dopamine rush that's presented to you by Gu Zhen Ren's Brilliance that is Reverend Insanity.

        Basically a tldr version, He announced that he will be dropping it, and even said he is using Bloodcore as a 'public draft book'. Also he wanted to take a break and spend some time on himself. On the same announcement he said he will be starting a new book sometime after Chinese New year (this novel I mentioned)
