    Just received word of a new Gu Zhen Ren novel. It's set in some kind of cultivation+engineering setting. Only 2 chapters so far. No accurate name of the novel can be provided rn as Chinese translations done by machines or ai are often inaccurate. Some say it's going to be a fan service after author gave up on IB and with the ban on RI. Some who've read say that it's going to create bigger waves than RI. Only time will tell.

        He said he'll return. Nothing. He said he'll try again. Nothing. Those guys won't let him. Even though novels they may be, but the type of people shown there still exist in today's China. There are still people with young master complex, or fights between people of the same trade, or any random random reason.

        Yeah, I just went into a dive of the situation after this comment and it honestly seems like the author is done with this, he seems to be hella tired from all his messages I've read and with him starting a new novel literally this month, it's yrs till any RI content for sure

      Seeing as RI was his life's passion, and IB was his experimental work of sorts, he's not in a position to take risks anymore as he's got a family to take care of; he's not young as when he wrote RI. It's prolly only going to be his money maker nothing else. It's better not to keep high expectations I think.

        You know what truly angers me? Webnovel takes a big chunk out of help that readers show to authors. Last I checked, they take around 40% or maybe more; agreed that they do all the promotional work and let the authors focus on their work. Someone even told me that on Webnovel, Authors are prevented from taking private donations from readers like Patreon, etc. And the worst thing about Webnovel here is they marked RI as 'Completed'. There are people still supporting RI in Webnovel. Now how much do you think Webnovel will pay an Author with a completed work, when in fact his work has been banned? Will they risk it?

        Yes definitely. Those contract tyrants give extremely unfair contracts for the small time authors to get their work started while reaping the maximum benefits out of that. They even lose their rights to the book they authored and get only a small part of the money flow in that unnamable site. They kinda lead the same harsh life as those in the animation production line of work. Truly a horror.

      Pretty sure he had lost the motivation after the ban of RI. He barely hung on in IB and gave up at last... I doubt this new novel is even going to last 500 chapters

      I really think it is going to be a fan service.He dropped IB because he was getting tired and wanted to spend more time with his family(which is ofc perfectly fine) but still,I waited almost 2 years for it to be completed yet he dropped it around ch 1000 and I am pretty sure he will also drop this one too after writing a few hundred chapters.Hate to say it but I think he has lost his touch(ofc he can also prove me wrong but the chances of that happenning is slim)

      Romance but it comes at around ch 500 so wait but it's worth it bcz the romance here is one of the best and very wholesome 🥰🥰.He is evil in the starting but becomes kind gradually,his first kind act was when he saved a little girl from a bear and then she becomes his junior sister,although she is not added in the romance,it is familial love.

        I always try to guess what's going to happen next in the novel, but sometimes my guess will end up wrong. Thought the MC would take Bo Qing's corpse to make himself a life and death aperture, NOPE, MC gets this rank 9 body. And now, the MC becomes the leader of the shadow sect, that was so bloody surprising, I would've never thought that this was gonna happen in a million years LOL
