He had already sets his goal and he will never back off. To achieve Eternal life he will do anything and everything. He have already lost his morality and humanity. The only thing that is inside him is desire to achieve his goal and outside him is his Expressionless face. He is broken 💔 You don't need to understand him just follow his journey.

not as good but demonic emperor, mc is cold evil heartless but he is also arogant and at times wont bend for anyone really anyone, and he isn't alone he finds love but its complicated. But tbh one of the clossed fang yuan mcs ii've seen but i rec read the manga till chap 200ish (manwha chapters are really easy and fast to read) then give a novel a shot. But personally speaking i highly rec you give it a shot.

Sadly it isn't completed but I HIGHLY recommend that you read this, this is probably one of the best novels out there but I heard that the author got banned and its been a few years since the ban so I doubt the ban will get lifted, but I still carry hopes that the author leaves the country and finishes the novel (just kidding but that would be nice) but anyway just read this is really worth it (and you can just make an ending in your mind so I guess it's ok)

Some people would wish for that I understand but If Fang Yuan has a good life the point of the story is ruined. We readers love the character for the person he is and his view on life. It would ruin his character and the story itself if this were to change. His cruel, vicious, sociopathic character is what we readers like and it makes the story even better. I cant imagine liking this novel as much as I do currently if Fang Yuans character was diffrent.
