Huang Yize changed into slippers. Hearing Yun Bilu’s careful question and upon looking at her from the corner of his eyes, he could see the unease in her expression.

That sort of gaze stirred his heart. His girl was too mature, too careful, and his heart ached for her.

He knew that in this relationship, he made her insecure.

Huang Yize stepped forward to embrace Yun Bilu tightly as he replied softly, “Silly girl, I returned specially for you. I won’t be leaving these few days. I’ll stay till the end of the martial arts competition and attend Elder Sister Yaoyao’s wedding with you.”

Yun Bilu’s heart stirred upon hearing that. Her heartbeat sped up and somehow, she felt all warm and fuzzy inside.

Because of how well he treated her, she would stay with him no matter how hard it was.

Furthermore, she was never one to give up easily. His true identity might scare others, but she was happy… However, her heart ached for him. She would force herself to become strong, even if it was just not to hold him back.

“Hehe! Huang Yize, I knew you’re the best.”

“I remember everything you say when we talk on the phone.”

“Then, I’m not delaying your work?”

“I’ve already made arrangements, so it’s okay.”

Yun Bilu was excited. After pushing Huang Yize away, she bounced excitedly. “That’s great! Oh! That’s great!”

Huang Yize’s expression softened as he looked at her. He knew that she only showed her true self in front of him.

He felt a twinge of guilt going through him. The time he was with her must have been so little for her to be this happy.

“Okay, how are you still so energetic despite being tired?”

Yun Bilu pouted. “With you here, you become my energy and strength. I’m not sleepy anymore.”

Huang Yize tapped her forehead and persuaded, “Go and wash up. I will keep you company anyway. After you’re done washing up, if you’re not sleepy, we can talk more.”

Yun Bilu nodded and happily went to wash up in the shower. She hummed a tune under her breath. She was in high spirits and everything seemed great.

Everything that happened today was a surprise for her from Huang Yize. She truly did not expect to see him.

It has been a few months since they saw each other, which was during New Year’s, so it would be a lie to say that she did not miss him. All she could do was to curb that longing with the phone calls they had.

Since it was after New Years, she was twenty-one as well. She finally understood what it meant to be longing for someone.

She used to think those literary descriptions for longing were not suited for her, but now, she realized that those were incredibly apt representations of how she felt.

Huang Yize was attentive to her needs. If she returned to her dormitory, the showers would’ve closed by then, and she would not be able to shower.

After showering, Yun Bilu realized a problem. She was a little muddled and happy when she entered, so much so that she forgot to bring in her towel and a change of clothes.

But she couldn’t go out dripping wet, clad in her dirty clothes, right?

Huang Yize was originally watching the television in the living room, but Yun Bilu wasn’t out of the shower even after a long time. Based on how long she took to shower on usual days, she should’ve been finished by now.

He lowered the volume of the television and turned towards the shower. “Bilu, why are you still not out yet?”
