Chapter 99: My Heart Will Always And Forever Beat For You

Lily's face became red as a beet as she stammered, "Wh-Why are you suddenly saying things like this?"

Damien did not simply say it on impulse; in fact, he truly realized his feelings for Lily. He realized that Lily had long since become his emotional support and someone who made him feel happy, someone who was like the brightest star in his dark and lonely world when he had no one in this unknown world.

Even before he awakened his memories, she was his only true friend who was there for him. He felt that the day she rescued him from the slave market was one of the biggest turning points in his life. He was glad it was she who rescued him and thankful he got to reunite with her.

He knew that if he didn't say anything, he would lose her forever.

Lily was at a loss for words hearing Damien's confession. However inwardly she felt happy, nervous, and a bit excited hearing his words.

Ever since the day Damien kissed her, she had been spending the next few days sorting out her feelings and thinking about how she felt about him.

The first time she met Damien during her childhood, he was the one who brought her out of her cage of grief and lament. He brought back light into her world and made her cheerful again.

Even when she met him again after 8 years, he comforted her and made her feel safe with his words and was like a pillar of strength for her.

The day he took the oath to help her, was the day she started to realize her feelings for Damien. But the problems she faced made her shun away those feelings to not put him in danger.

Regardless, when Damien kissed her, it roused up all the bottled up feelings in her heart and sent her emotions into disarray. She was scared of her feelings since she couldn't see how she could be together with Damien even if she wanted to. If she tried to be with him, it would only put his life in danger.

Stuck between following her feelings and the safety of Damien, she was unable to even focus on her cultivation as her mind was being tormented by her own emotions.

Not being able to let out her feelings, and coupled with Damien missing, her heart was in constant turmoil these few days.

Damien slowly sat up, still maintaining his gaze on her. He said, "I haven't told you this before, but I already have someone in my heart."

Lily's eyes shook and her heart became taut when she heard that Damien already loved someone. She felt as if her heart was crumbling hearing his words. She had never felt such agony before in her life. She wondered why he confessed to her in the first place if he already loved someone.

She asked in a wobbly voice, "Is it Sofie?" The name 'Sofie' had been in the back of her mind since the day Damien first called out her name. She knew the person named Sofie must have been very important to Damien.

Damien said directly, "Yes and I still and always will love her even though she is not beside me right now."

Lily's lip quivered as her head drooped.

But Damien continued in an affectionate tone with his hand still on her cheek, "However, I can't just get you out of my mind no matter how much I tried. Every time I remember your smile as radiant as the stars, I forget about all my worries and pain which made me realize that you have already stolen my heart. So how can I let go of someone who took something that belongs to me? So...will you stay with me until the very end, despite how shameless I am?"

Lily's eyes livened up when she heard his loving words. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. He had feelings for her despite having someone else in his heart. She didn't know how to react because she also couldn't let go of her feelings for Damien.

Even though she knew it was normal for men to have more than one wife in this world, she was a dignified imperial princess who was not used to these things. She also found it painful that Damien already loved someone else and that she wasn't his first.

However, her feelings for him won over her mind and heart as she said in a mild voice, "I...why ask me now when you already...stole my heart as well?"

Her tone became emotional as she continued, "Do you have any idea how many days I spent thinking about you? I felt like a part of my soul was missing when you disappeared suddenly. Whenever I think about you, I miss you and that's when I realized how much I longed to be in your embrace. As long as you have me in your heart...that is fine."

Damien smiled hearing her words and felt his heart getting lighter, seeing that things didn't turn out bad as he expected. He felt that she was truly a one in a million and couldn't imagine how lucky he was to meet someone like her.

He held her tight and whispered in her ears, "Don't worry...as long as I live, my heart will always and forever beat for you."

Lily felt heartened hearing his whispers of love. But another thought popped in her mind as she said anxiously, "B-but...you know my situation...I will only put you in danger and—Mmmhh!!"

Her eyes widened when Damien suddenly sealed her lips with his. She instinctively struggled a bit, but could only let out a whimper as Damien kissed her intensely. He sucked on her cherry lips with more passion and vigor than his first kiss with her.

Her ears and cheeks reddened with nervousness and panic.

Lily didn't resist anymore as she closed her eyes slowly, choosing to not think about anything else and just immerse in this passionate moment with him and convey her bottled up feelings.

His insistent mouth was playing with her delicate and shaking lips, sending wild tremors along her nerves, evoking from her sensations she had never known she was capable of feeling.

And before a string of giddiness spun her around and around, she knew she was kissing him back.

Damien was holding her neck as his kiss became more deeper and intense. A few moments later he parted his lips from her and gazed intently at her stunning black eyes as she also stared at his eyes that were as black as the starry sky.

"You look as beautiful as a star, Lily." Damien said with fervor.

Lily smiled as she shyly looked down, and felt over the moon hearing his heartfelt compliment.

He brought her chin up and pecked on her petal-like lips a few times till he again went for a deep and full kiss. He finally forced his tongue through her teeth. Lily didn't clench her teeth for long when she felt Damien's tongue trying to force itself into her mouth.

She had no idea what Damien was trying to do but let him do as he wanted. Damien rolled his tongue over her tender and shy tongue while ravishing her lips with his.

Lily felt it strange when Damien tried to play with her tongue but soon she started to enjoy the intoxicating feeling and followed his lead.

Amid the lingering kiss, her face had unknowingly been flushed entirely in red. Her pair of eyes which occasionally opened and closed had completely turned hazy.

In the midst of the deep kiss, Damien had slowly loosened the belt on her waist and pulled it out as her robes became loose. He moved on to the jade buttons on her garment and slowly undid them.

Damien slowly stretched his hands, invaded into her clothes, and without any restraint, his hands began to swim around her velvety waist.

"Mn…" Lily's eyelids suddenly jumped, and her angelic pair of eyes were wide open. She gripped Damien's naughty hands from moving any forward as her body trembled from nervousness.

Damien slowly ended the kiss by pulling her upper lip into his mouth. Seeing her face as pretty as a picture and the reddish hue on her face, it only made her look more seductive to Damien.

His eyes blazed with passion as he slowly started pecking her from the forehead, her nose, her lips, her chin and finally he nuzzled her neck and started kissing her skin gently.

"Mmmhhh…" Lily let out a low moan as she felt a new kind of pleasure when Damien started kissing her neck. She closed her mouth with her hand to suppress her moans and felt it embarrassing she was making such sounds.

Her delicate brows trembled with nervousness as she clutched his hair tighter.

Damien left deep kisses on her neck as his mouth slowly made its way to her alluring collarbones. He parted her shoulder sleeve as her smooth right shoulder got completely exposed.

Seeing her pristine fair skin glistening under the moonlight, Damien couldn't resist himself as he sucked and bit on her sensual collarbones.
