Summary

Lewis Griffith loved magic ever since he was little, dreaming of the day when he would awaken and become a great 'Mage'.

However, this dream is shattered upon the discovery that he was inept, unable to form a mana core, and ever utilize magic.

Still, due to his outstanding dedication to the art, he studied magic and developed countless theories and schools. His unique concept revolutionized magic in the world, making him one of the most renowned scholars in history.

Surprisingly, he reincarnates after several centuries have passed since his death, once again thrust into the world of magic.

Will his second time be different? Or will he be the same Magic theorist he was in the past? The tale of Jared Leonard, formerly known as the Great Sage of Magic, is just beginning.

How did it ruin it for you 😂💔 Karlia ends up with an alternate version of Jared (the original Lewis sorta), so her story ends happily.

Naming scheme is distracting AF. Couldn't get past more than ten chapters without it getting unbearable. His name used to sound like Lois Griffin from Family Guy, and now his reincarnated name sounds like creepy celebrity Jared Leto. 75% of each chapter is just a solipsism-filled monologue about some bs where he breaks the 4th wall and constantly addresses the reader directly. Maybe 2 things happen for each hundred words inside his head where he's either complaining or infodumping.

I think on this site people are way too obvious if they don't like any novel and just start giving 1 star... thou how do the rating on WN stays good I wonder? is it just the bots or just skill issue?

WN authors can delete reviews on Webnovel. Plus, the readers there are more tame compared to this place. I mean… this is a pirate site. You don’t expect to find a lot of people with respect for most authors or their works. They just want to read the books. If they don’t like a book, they talk sh*t about it. If they like a book, they praise it. I think that’s the difference

That's true like LOTM and SS stay at the top and everyone loves em since they are masterpieces but Supreme Magus too is a masterpiece but they sh*t talk it bcz the author didn't give in to their preferences and wrote the novel according to em sigh... Believe me SM is very good and realistic but readers just can't take it when author dared to go the other way smh...

You shouldn't trust the reviews on this site since all they do is glaze or hate without anything backing them up tbh

oh but they believe their preferences and short mindedness is enough of a backing lol

Does anyone recommend a soap opera that shows MC's trajectory since he was a baby? (disregard the tbate)

This novel has hints of *nc*st, it is so cringe reading about the interactions and descriptions of the MC & his mom. It just so weird. Like I am all about romance and the MC dropping their jaw over a vixen of a woman (Supreme Magus, Lith seeing Professor Nalier for the first time - golden comedy moment)... But not their mother my guy. Additionally, the multiple mana cores is so cool, but it goes overboard when he ends up having an obscene number of them. Like seriously, if you're that powerful, then how is there any conflict? It's still an entertaining read while waiting for other novels to come out with new chapters. I laughed at a lot of parts, the beginning was epic and fun. The very start is really hard and sad since the MC worked so hard in his first life for something he loved, to only have it be for nothing. This start really set high expectations and it just did not meet them in later chapters.

The novel has a really good idea but it seems to fail in executing it properly i've read the first two arcs. The pacing needs to be improved also the fights while interesting did not stood out to me as the characters does however it seems that the character development different. personally it was the main points the novel fell flat as the MC seems to have no proper short term goal. every few chapters the Mc seems to get frustrated and then suddenly matures but the cycle repeats again. also while the magic system is a basic one at the start it was executed well enough but very quickly it became just a vague framework. i hope it improves further ahead but i don't think that i can read it.

from bad to average... some dialogues are ridiculous, as are the motivations of some characters. and it's also quite annoying when the author breaks the rhythm a few times out of NOTHING, at least as far as I went (141) if you have patience, read it, but don't expect anything very good, besides having to endure moments of embarrassment when reading that.

The romance only starts to get evident at the fourth arc and really good at around the fifth arc. He chooses Maria, though
