Warning: The MC is not an hero nor an anti-hero. He is a broken, cynic and misanthropic person looking only for his own gain. If you are looking for a forgiving, nice, MC that goes around saving people in distress, this is not your cup of tea.

Hey y’all. Been stacking since the 1300s, does Lith ever end up with Solus?

Its so incredibly saddening seeing this novel as it has so many issues but at the same time its so good. Truly tragic man. I was contemplating rereading it but the romance drama would just leave me frustrated

Reread it. Just stop when Lith decides to marry Kamila.

Probably the hardest novel to review for me, Supreme magus has some of the best and some of the most frustrating moments I have ever read. Let's start on the good side, amazing protagonist, decent world building, fabulous power system, good antagonists(except one) and a good plot. Supreme magus also has some of the best character works and death scenes. On the other hand is obviously the romance, personally I like romance and although I don't think it's necessary but a good romance is always welcomed, that said this novel has some of the most frustrating relationship situations I have ever read. The constant back and forth is really painful to read and you can't really ignore it because it's a big part of this novel. Some times it feels like the author is forcing a certain plot or situation to happen. To wrap it up supreme magus has high highs and lows lows but I think the highs outweigh the lows. 4.1/5

Decent world building?? Just curious which novel has better world building than this

Lotm, tbate, shadow slave and dimensional descent are some examples in light novels. Overall world building in light novels is weaker than some other mediums like manga(op) and western novels like the wheel of time or lord of the rings.

if we're only limited to light novels then supreme magus probably falls within top 20 but if we also include western novels then it drops by a lot

When it had 800 chapters, I left it at 600 chapters. I thought it was too slow and it was getting slower day by day. Later, I read comments that mentioned things that I had problems with. How are some people still reading this? I prefer to spend my time on better paced novels. It would be good if these 3000 episodes were summarized in 1000 episodes, but it seems that the end time of this novel is not yet known.

Does anyone know if it's near its end or that the author has announced something about ending the novel?

I dropped the novel quite a while back but I'm invested in the story somewhat as I loved the beginning of this novel hence have some questions. Can anyone tell me how Manohar died and why? Also why is Camalia hated that much? I thought Solus was causing issues with her feelings? Also did he become guardian level? If not how far has he gone with his core?

manohar dies when fighting against orpal and night, he was an extremely powerful fake wizard with a bright violet core, but orpal was awake and had a cursed object, kamila becomes hateful because sometimes it seems like she gets in the way of lith, this is very much in the opinion of each, solus is trying to surpass lith, the three have a kind of relationship to some extent, Lith is a divine beast dragon phoenix hybrid with a bright violet core

Thank you so much for the update ;-; I still feel bad for monohar man, he was probably my favorite side character in this novel :') Also since when lith have phoenix bloodline? I thought he was partial Dragon due to being an entity like Wyrg? (Sorry if I butchered the spelling, it's been some time 🥹)

mogar altered the family tree of lith's family, perhaps preparing him with the possibility of becoming a Destroyer in his last world tribulation, he actually has more draconic characteristics than a phoenix, his father has the blood of salaark and his mother the by leegaain, within his family, anyone who awakens the deep violet core can become a divine beast, so far as a new species of Demons we only have Lith, his daughter and Tista

I stopped when I realized the title no longer fits the story. Like at the start I could easily see Lith eventually becoming the "Supreme Magus" but now with all the emotional baggage, drama etc. it's just hard to imagine. Don't even get me started on Kamila

He got the title of Supreme Magus a long time ago now, so I don't understand your comment? And the action arcs alternate with the "slice-of-life" arcs, this makes the world/story more credible in my opinion, but everyone have their own opinion i guess?

I stopped at about chapter 1900 or so and I don't remember him being titled 'Supreme Magus' back then and even if he was given that title, it wouldn't make sense given that I'm pretty sure he wasn't even in the top 100 when it comes to strength with the guardians and all they're other older children. Also my point is that reading the title, I expected him to become the greatest/strongest magus, hence 'Supreme' and his character at the start definitely lent credence to him eventually reaching that point. But at the point where I stopped, he seems to lack that same drive, ambition, ruthlessness etc that'll let him reach that point. You're right that maybe it's just my own opinion, but thats honestly how I felt reading this back then.

Honestly this was an extravagant read up until the Odi arc tbh I’m close to 900 chapters & it has kinda became boring? Forced? Idk how to explain it honestly this story had a nice cruel action slice of life vibe but the characters are starting to have no depth cause every other arc is a plague or a lost catacombs arc with an overwhelming enemy. & the forced love triangle between Solus Phloria Kamila & Lith is also being forced so I’ll ask for those who may have read ahead …. Keep reading on a downhill battle or let it go?

I ve read up until chapter 2500 or something and i regret it. I kept reading thinking it was gonna get better but the author just kept on digging the hole he is in deeper and deeper. Thousands of the later chapters are just filler bs about the same thing over and over again. Lots of crying and moaning and bitc*ing and whining, brother it gets exhausting to read. Would not reccommend.

I'm currently at chap 1533 and went to the wiki to look if he reached the white core or became a guardian but there wasn't anything about it so is he stuck at violet for another 1500 chap ??
