Unlike the spirit magic, which combined various spells, such as spirit magic or the attribute resistance to deal with any kind of damage, normal attacks only damage the simple physical and defense damage.

So, if he could look at the damage dealt by general attacks, then he would be able to measure an approximate number of power that his opponent has.
