I've always remembered the title as "That time I was reincarnated as a slime", so when I searched it up I was depressed thinking it wasn't there. Then I searched up slime and I got it. Also, is this novel good?

As a loyal follower of Gabiru-Sama I have to correct you. Either call him Gabiru-Sama or Lord Gabiru.

Honestly, it is famous and many people enjoy this novel, so perhaps you should give it a try. I personaly dont like it because of 3 main reasons: * it is somewhat strange in the sense that in one moment the protagonist is commiting genocide and on the other the novel feels like a peaceful slice of life that confuses childish acts with comedy. * the protagonist himself. Rimuru is completly unremarkable in any way shape or form save for the ridiculous cheat skills he got upon reincarnating. His personality is bland (literaly the same as all the other good-natured, foolish and naive mcs [though his naivity does disappears as the story progresses]), his skills do everything for him, from basically fighting for him to even helping in decision making, he rarely faces true difficulties and most of the time he strougles is when he ignores his AI skill advisor and thus things by himself. * (continue bellow)

Ttigraas is just like any other reincarnation series tbh the only reason it’s so popular is maybe because of the power system and how powerful rimuru is but at the end the both anime manga and novel is *ss in my opinion it’s the most overrated in the isekai big 3

*I just cant help but compare the novel to Re:zero. Rimuru is so inferior to Subaru as a character that its not even funny. Subaru didnt get ANY cheat skill like Rimuru (save for his time-loop one that its not even his, its a curse some entity put into him and also his source of agony) and still, everything he accomplishes feels far better than anything Rimuru ever did. Rimuru is fully dependant on his god-given skilks acquired effortlessly, while Subaru uses his experience and decision making (NOT assisted by some miraculous skill btw) to get the desired outcome. And despite being completly ordinary on earth, his ability to learn, adapt and most importantly, piece himself togheter after being broken from enduring suffering is something that i have no doubt Rimuru or almost any other isekai protagonist can never hope to match.

I agree that the slime novel is barely average, and the only notable things about it are the world-building and a few side characters. But you don't have to compare it to ReZero. Even though both are isekai, they have totally different plots and worlds, it's not even fair to compare them

Gee it’s almost like they have different plot points , different character development and different stories altogether…

I watched the anime then the manga then the LN then the WN. ik ik thats backwards af but thats just how it went down, lol. anyways the web novel came first and is only slightly different than the LN (which in my opinion is top tier) the changes mainly revolve around the antagonist, if i rmbr correctly yuuki was the big bad all the way til the end in the WN and I think feldway is the big bad in the end for the LN, I'm not sure tbh I have to reread its been a while since I read it. The author added some arcs in the LN that weren't originally in the WN, but its seriously nothing drastic. but either way it's a good read tbh i liked it, And for those asking he does have the ability to change his appearance but out of respect for Shizu who was the OG owner of the body/appearance that he has, he kept it the same. If you wanna read the LN i read it on slime readers I think, also you could just go to amazon and buy the ebook or physical book, I did that a few times its not expensive

This is a tricky request, since I myself never read the LN volumes 1-5, all of the content in those volumes are already animated in the manga so I was able to pick up from the manga to volume 6 of the LN, that was years ago though, the manga is now up to Vol 9 of the LN. I was fine from going from manga to LN, idk if ur the same. but i've searched for the earlier LN volumes your asking for and I found it on novels onl*ne . n*t (i really dont wanna get banned so use ur brain to fill in the dots lol. Admin if this is too much PLEASE DONT BAN ME JUST WARN ME😭) anyways! like i said I never read the earlier volumes so I don't know if whats on there is an accurate read. Hope this helps tho!

I've read the latest volume 18 of the ln. Where should I start the wn now? Vol 18 ended during the fight between yuuki and jahil before rimuru arrived in El dorado.

I'm not 100% sure its been over a year since i read it. Search "that time i got reincarnated as a slime webnovel" for me it was the 6th link, Guro trans everything it titled under each arc so you should be able to find where you left off. Sorry for taking so long

Me personally I like the adapted story of the LN, more than the pre adapted version of the WN which came first. The story arcs and the characters just sit better in the LN than in the WN so i think you should read the LN on Slimereaders or buy it off of amazon lol. Keep in mind that even though the WN was made first, the LN is what the manga and the anime show are based off of

I initially read those from the manga i believe, and then I picked up where the manga left off at volume 6 by going to slime readers. Tha manga is actually caught up to around the beginning or middle of Volume 9, so if ur fine with reading the manga then switching the the Ln, you can do the same thing i did 🤧 My journey was ridiculously backwards, with me starting from the anime to the manga to the LN to the WN. So honestly I was all over the place 😭 I know you can find the volumes on Kindle or amazon if your willing to pay and don't wanna go thru all hassle tho

Slime readers, literally just type slime readers into google it should be the first thing to pop up, but last i checked not every volume was released yet, it might have changed by now tho. And it had up to volume 16 or 21 honestly my memory is so trash.

Which is better, the webnovel or light novel? I heard the light novel had some changes to it compared to the webnovel so I'd like an opinion before reading

Basically the Anime is based on the LN and not the WN. The WN is a draft of the LN so it lacks a lot of important details that the LN have, and cause of that the LN is much more enjoyable than the WN. I'd personally prefer the LN over the WN but if you want to read a complete story then this is also good (the only major changes are the ending's and Antagonist's) *Spoiler* the main antagonist of the LN without a doubt is Feldway, manipulating individuals to become Rimuru's enemy or just try to attack Rimuru and what not the main antagonist of WN is Yuuki Kagurazaka (don’t have the energy to explain why he's the main antagonist)
