One of the best novel out there. I'm glad it slowly and intently focuses on the characters' self development and their relationship with other characters. I also love how the author is detailed with their theory in magic, anatomy, and also with strategy when it comes to fighting. It never fails to hype me up for more chapters and look forward on reading until the end. I'm really glad I've discovered this :)

I first discovered this as a manga, but I'm so glad that I had the chance to find and read the novel! I've enjoyed Arthur and everyone else to my heart's content! 10/10 would read again!

Till now, this has been incredible, it’s good that Arthur doesn’t advance every 4 chapters, like most characters in other novels, and struggles even with his past memories, not like others that were just a normal citizen and when they go to another world they end as a damn god without a lot of effort, and his development as a human and trying to change and open up to people is great too, this by far has been in my top 3 novels of all times, and damn I’ve read a lot of novels!

It is a typical isekai story with some unique elements like truly alive support characters with their own backgrounds and goals.

Unfortunately, the theme remains the same with the genre that the main protagonist is always OP among his peers and only enemies occasionally suppress him to make him go relentlessly towards getting stronger (yes the same overused mantra...).

The author tries to make his advances and plot armor with reason though aside from the first 100 or so chapters, those increasingly become closer to Deus Ex Machina. Later the author starts forcing the advances with some ridiculous reason encompassing how he got what he got by going to an x place or discovering an x behavior etc.

But at the end of the day, the biggest and the most unfortunate letdown of this novel is in fact the main protagonist. He does seem likable in the first hundred chapters but as one starts to know, how he was a king and how his first life was so bad, the less likable he becomes. As then it quickly becomes clear that the author does not know, how mature character needs to be depicted.

Suffice to say, he does not act his age nor life experience in critical times. He is an amateur, hot blooded, foolish teenager, just like a shounen protag.

I don't like the female lead either for some reason. Still the other characters are very good and the main stay of the story and also why I am still reading it.
