Never really been a fan of novels but after catching up on the manhua version, I started reading the novel. As far as I can say the novel is more detailed than the manhua version which makes it better. You can imagine the story since the descriptions of characters and places or even fight scenes made by the author are very detailed. What's also really nice is you get to see different POVs which makes the story have more sense of what's happening.

Best isekai to ever exist, I've reread the webtoon 2 to 3 times and this was the first time I was so impatient to wait for more source material to be adapted in a webtoon that I decided to dive straight into the novel.

I enjoy reading webtoons or manhua and then decide if they’re worth reading as novels too. I appreciate good fights and story progression, but it’s clear that this author struggles with managing romance

One of the best novels you could read here, there's a reason TBATE is consistently at top 10. The start of the story is pretty generic. Isekai, keep your old memories, become pretty op because of said memories. Typical isekai recipe, but the groundwork of the story is already laid, which suggests this is not just any other isekai. Middle part of the story is where it branches of the isekai trope and builds on its unique identity. Will try to not include as much spoilers as possible, but his reincarnation into this world was not just a coincidence, and he may be a bigger part of the world without knowing it. World building gets better, and we are introduced to the unique elements of the story. Later on, as we approach the end, everything falls into place. The early details and foreshadowing, the truth of his reincarnation, the truth of the world he is in, is revealed and it's now a race to which side will prevail. You'll get sucked into reading it more. 10/10 experience

A quality isekai novel. Mc is likeable, world building is pretty darn good, fmc isn't absolutely useless and has a personality, magic system is simple but solid, and the grammar is surprisingly well structured. Not only will the read be fun, you might even learn a few new words.

Like many (at least I guess), I started this expecting a normal regular power fantasy where the MC reincarnates in a fantasy world with the experience of a lifetime and uses it to overcome all hurdles yada yada. And the story does starts in this direction, across the entire beginning, Arthur (the MC) barely, if ever, struggles to accomplish his goals. His talent exceeds by FAR that of his peers and across the first two arcs, he was never really challenged in any way. This direction set by the first two arcs could let us believe that we're in for another regular, run of the mill power fantasy like Solo Leveling, or all these "SSS hunter" clones. But then starts the war arc and the Alacryan arc and the stories just goes through two entire rebranding, first with that resistance pov during the war arc which is so unlike what we're used to in Korean, Chinese and Japanese novels. Reading about a colonization through the lense of the colonized was memorable, and I also love the way TurtleMe managed to humanize both sides. And finally you have the spy arc in Alacrya, the exploration of Alacrya's underground could be an entire book on its own, the three best supporting characters are introduced in this arc (this is not a debate) and finally, the absolute caviar that is the Victoriad. If any of you want a story that dares to branches off the usual development we see in these types of story, dig in. NB : If I had to give one piece of criticism, it would be the female antagonist and the female protagonist. I felt both were very shallow in their writing and their decisions seems more based on a question of "What will make the story advance as I want it to ?" rather than "What would be the logical choice from this character standpoint ?". And yes I'm pointing at both of you T (hot) and C (unt).

As i read through this series, i am increasingly more impressed with the incredibly intricate fantasy world and the character relationships within. you can almost watch as the author becomes more proficient as their time writing continues. this series will always hold a special place in my heart as the series that got me genuinely interested in light novels and web novels.
