Chapter 37: Second Stage

After Fang Lin had digested the techniques he learned, the bloodline memories faded away. He then opened his eyes, seeing the real world again.

Upon seeing this, Xiao Ya dispelled the screen that she deployed. Fang Lin stood up and reexamined his body. Even though he knew that he is already at the First Stage, he knew that he still has much more to do.

On his right hand, a flaming serpent appeared. This snake coiled in his hands, letting out hissing sounds. This is the flame serpent spell, a daoist spell. Only those at the Fifth Level of Qi Condensation can usually use it. But with Fang Lin’s Extreme Yang Body, he can easily conjure this spell. On his left hand, he froze the moisture around him, producing icicles.

He nodded, satisfied with his progress. He then ruminated on the next stage he was going to step in, the Second Stage.

If the First Stage was the build-up of energy for the practitioners, then the Second Stage is the way for the practitioners to strengthen their attributes and directly influence their environment.

For the immortal cultivators, the Second Stage is the Foundation Establishment Stage. At this stage, an Immortal Cultivator has to build Dao Foundations inside his dantian. This Dao Foundation is made up of the cultivators own glimpse of his ‘Dao’. Once established, this Dao Palace will strengthen all the attributes of the immortal cultivator. It will also give the cultivator’s daoist spells a trace of their own ‘Dao’ effectively improving their attacks.

But in order to establish the Dao Palace, the cultivator must not have only his own understanding of his ‘Dao’, he must also have a Foundation Establishment Scripture and the aid of Foundation Establishment Pill. There are different kinds of Foundation Establishment Scriptures and Foundation Establishment Pills. The higher their grade is, the better Dao Foundation will be created.

Not only that, but in order for the cultivator to advance in the Foundation Establishment Stage, they must use Dao Revelation Scriptures in order to increase their understanding of their ‘Dao’. The knowledge they gained will be then used by them to establish more Dao Foundations.

In order to reach the Peak Foundation Establishment Stage, the immortal cultivator must have established 9 Dao Foundations. That means a cultivator has to acquire a lot of Dao Revelation Scriptures just to advance. And the higher the grade of the Dao Foundation is, the higher the grade of the Dao Revelation Scripture is needed.

For the Godly Ascenders, their Second Stage is not about building a foundation for their insights. Its about having the ability to directly manipulate their surroundings through the use of their mana. This is the Mana Materialization Stage. At the First Stage, the mana of the practitioner is mainly confined inside their body. It has now way to go out. Because of this, each attribute effects that this mana have can be only used on their own body or on the weapons they hold.

For example, someone with a fire essence mana at the First Stage can only use the mana to coat themselves in flames or to increase the temperature of the things they touch. They can create flames far from them, but that will take a long time.

But at the Mana Materialization Stage, the practitioner will be able to bring out his/her mana outside of their bodies.

What does this entail? This means that the practitioner can already conjure his/her element at a farther distance in just an instant. But the most important use of that mana is for the magical spells.

These magical spells requires mana and a specific attribute to be used. The mana serves as the fuel of the spell. With the mana unable to leave the body at the First Stage, the practitioners have no way of using magical spells. But at the Second Stage, the practitioner can conjure magical spells with no worry for they can now use the mana outside their bodies.

In order to breakthrough to the Mana Materialization Stage, the practitioner must acquire a core magic spell and a mana catalyst. A mana catalyst will make the mana inside the practitioner’s body to go berserk, giving the practitioner the chance the let out the mana out of their body. The higher the grade of the mana catalyst is, the more mana can be materialized by the practitioner outside their body.

The core magic spell on the other hand, is the magic spell that the practitioner embeds on their consciousness as they breakthrough. This core magic spell will then be the foundation of the practitioner’s additional magical spells. This core magic spell will also have traces of the universal ‘Laws’. The higher the grade of the core magic spell is, the better magical spells can be learned in the future and will give the practitioner a better glimpse on the universal ‘Laws’.

That means in order for the practitioner to grow stronger, he/she must acquire magical spells that corresponds to their attribute and the core magic spell.

The peak of the Mana Materialization Stage can be reached when the practitioner can successfully materialize all the mana inside his/her body to the surroundings. They must also have fully understood the traces of universal ‘Laws’ on their core magic spell.

Fang Lin stopped thinking about the cultivation stages after that. As of now, he has to reach the peak of the First Stage. What he needed was only time to build up more energy and practice his fighting abilities.

When he looked towards his Masters, he saw a strange scene. Xiao Ya was looking at Fang Lin as if he was a rare treasure. She slowly approached him, not minding the intimidating presence she radiates.

“And here I thought Fang Yu is already a treat for my eye. Then you appeared.” She cupped the original Fang Lin’s chin as she purred slowly “Do you want to spend some time with Onee-san?”

“Hey! Can I join too?” Of course Wang Hao chose such a time to make an awkward entrance.

“Piss of!”

Fang Lin then used that momentary distraction to split himself again. Chubby Fang Lin and voluptuous Fang Yu reappeared. Xiao Ya sighed with regret, seeing that such a big fish just escaped her jaws.

“Hey Xiao Ya! You can do a threesome now! I bet Fang Lin wants that!”

“Of course not!” Even though deep in his heart, Fang Lin has the image of Xiao Ya and Fang Yu kissing while Fang Lin was pounding Xiao Ya from her behind, how could he admit that?

“I am still in a test master, and remember, we still have lots of messes to fix.”

“You are right about that. Well farewell then, Sect Head Xiao Ya.” Wang Hao did a mock salute as Fang Yu and Xiao Ya left the site.

Wang Hao looked at Fang Lin and said “We have a lot to do.”

Meanwhile at Xiao Ya’s room.

When Fang Yu and Xiao Ya arrived in her room, Xiao Ya looked at Fang Yu and asked “Do you want to continue what we did earlier?”

Fang Yu’s body heated up as she remembered their making-out earlier. She knew that if it were not for Fang Lin breaking through, they could have been scissoring like mad already.

“Actually master, I think we were too rash. Maybe we just got muddled due to the circumstances.”

Even though Fang Yu badly wanted to see the O-face of Xiao Ya, she knew she cannot be afford to get distracted. “Though I still need your ‘massage’…..” Fang Lin continued with a blush.

Even though her master looked disappointed, her eyes lit up as she said “Then lie down now so we can start this quickly.”

“Ah!”

“Bang!” The engrossed duo looked at the source of the sound. They saw Ling’er, who was looking at them with an open mouth. She trembled upon seeing the Sect Master looking at her with an irritated expression. Ling’er then steeled her voice as she said

“Can Ling’er join too?”
