Chapter 38: Final Stage of the Exam

Both Fang Yu and Xiao Ya stilled upon hearing Ling’er’s outrageous request. Xiao Ya then started checking out Ling’er. She may not be as pretty as Fang Yu and Xiao Ya, but her innocence and naivety seemed to wake up Xiao Ya’s predatory insticnts.

However, she sighed and flopped of her bed, leaving Fang Yu disappointed and wanting for more.

“Ling’er, what I did to your master is a way to help her cultivate. She has an innate Extreme Yin Body, and only I have the capabilities to guide her. You on the other hand, has a mediocre talent.”

Ling’er looked down, visibly frustrated by this fact uttered by Xiao Ya.

“Yet even with that, I still see your perseverance to progress.” Xiao Ya slowly went near Ling’er. “In this world, not only talent matters, perseverance is also a key.” Xiao Ya then flicked Ling’er’s forehead and leaned close to her. Ling’er could clearly smell Xiao Ya’s irresistible scent. Her legs then started to wobble.

“If you want to be stronger, always follow Fang Yu ok? I am not your master so I cannot help you.” Xiao Ya then leaned back, allowing Ling’er to heave a sigh of relief. Xiao Ya then motioned the two of them to leave her room. “Now then,” once she knew that Fang Yu and Ling’er is not near anymore, she slowly put her right hand inside her lower robes. She moaned in satisfaction.

“I am so gonna enjoy this!”

While Xiao Ya was busy relieving herself, Fang Lin and Wang Hao returned back to the cave. Once there, they saw Venomshade and Tang Ya busy on guarding the tied up Boner. Yao’er immediately went out of Fang Lin’s shadow and jumped straight into Tang Ya’s arms.

“Big Sis!”

Tang Ya smiled, obviously happy with the cute Yao’er adoring her. Her eyes suddenly constricted, as she observed Fang Lin.

“So you broke through now huh.”

Even though Tang Yu looked disinterested, she knew that with Fang Lin able to fight the First Stage practitioners even he is at the Body Refinement Stage, his strength is bound to rise at his breakthrough.

Tang Ya and Venomshade then stared at Wang Hao incredulously. They saw Wang Hao’s explosive fighting power. But then they noticed that on Wang Hao’s forehead, only 8 petals remain. Not only that, but Wang Hao also emanated an aura of someone at the First Stage!

Right, when Fang Lin broke through to the First Stage, Wang Hao felt that the seal on his forehead lost one more petal. This then unlocked his fighting abilities to be around the Second Stage! Not only that, but because his disciple has reached the First Stage, the seal on his forehead emanated an aura similar to those released by the First Stage practitioners. Now, Wang Hao looked like a legitimate First Stage practitioner.

Wang Hao then gleefully fiddled with the sect token in his hands. With this, he can be accepted as an Outer Disciple. But now is not the right time. Wang Hao knew that after this selection, there will be one more stage. This stage will then weed out the top 5 practitioners. The eliminated 25 will be accepted as Outer Disciples while the top 5 will be apprenticed to a Sect Elder. If they are talented though, they could be accepted by the Grand Elder or even the Sect Head!

But as the Grand Elder seems to be out of his mind and Xiao Ya having acquired her own disciple, the hopeful eyes of the practitioners swiveled to Tang Luo, who still have not accepted any disciples.

From this point, it will be easy to realize that the incoming final stage will be full of struggle. Wang Hao has to focus his attention on raising Fang Lin’s strength at this point. He knew that those who pass at this point has powerful abilities that they can jump realms. Of course they are not as talented as Fang Lin, but as long as they are in the peak First Stage, Fang Lin will have some difficulty on fighting them.

Not only that, but after the selection exams, he still have to face the wrath of Fatty Zhou. Wang Hao scratched his head not knowing what to do. Even though he said earlier that he has a way to resolve the problem, he still have no idea on what to do.

“Haiiz, I’ll just think about that once this selection finishes. Haste brings waste!” Wang Hao said to himself.

Venomshade then started to speak up. “We saw earlier that you wiped out their memories of you. Are you also going to wipe our memories too?”

Of course, Wang Hao wanted badly to wipe their memories. But as he looked at Fang Lin, Wang Hao realized that Tang Ya and Venomshade were Fang Lin’s friends. Wang Hao could not afford to just sever his disciple’s ties.

He then took a deep breath and said “I have a better idea than that. How about you take the Practitioner Oath?”

Tang Ya and Venomshade knew what the Practitioner Oath is. It is an oath made in accordance with the practitioners’ cultivation. Once the practitioner breaks the oath, the punishment they set for breaking the oath will then happen to them. This punishment they set must get as worse as the risks of the promise gets greater. So if they promised to not tell about Wang Hao’s true identity, they need to uphold it. If not, their punishments await them.

They both agreed. Wang Hao saved their lives, so what matter is a little promise?

They then recited the Practitioner Oath. They swore that they will not reveal anything related to Wang Hao that might compromise his and Fang Lin’s current identity. Venomshade then stipulated that should he break the oath, his own poisonous mana will consume him as repayment. Tang Ya stilled, struggling to say her own punishment. In a stuttering voice, she then said

“If I..I..I am to break this oath, I..I..I..I will be Wang Hao’s meat slave!”

Wang Hao’s mouth went wide open after hearing that. Then he remembered that while he was decimating their opponents earlier, his own handsome face has been seen by Tang Ya! She discovered that his fatty disguise was a fake!

Now imagine this. There is a handsome guy who comes in to save you. He is also powerful. Not only that, but this handsome guy pretended to be a fatty just to help his disciple! Tang Ya’s heart fluttered when she ‘realized’ Wang Hao’s ‘kindness’. Even though he is a pervert, Tang Ya just brushed it off. It was then that she vowed to herself that she will strive to gain his affections.

Will she break her oath? Absolutely not. Her love for Wang Hao prevents that. But Tang Ya knew that accidents sometimes do happen. If she accidentally revealed anything about Wang Hao, Wang Hao will surely suffer. That’s why she set herself being Wang Hao’s meat slave as a punishment. She was confident on keeping the oath. And if she breaks the oath? Then Wang Hao is free to use her!

“Ahh… I’m actually married already.” Wang Hao replied.

“Bang!” Tang Ya fell to the floor, petrified. She knew she committed a major sin now, seducing someone’s husband! But then she realized that only applies to the mortal world. In the immortal world, strength is everything! If Wang Hao is married, then Tang Ya will be stronger than Wang Hao’s wife and snatch him away!

Once she had that revelation, she felt something loosening inside her. She then felt herself breaking through.
