Chapter 439: Guardian

“Well, I hope it won’t turn out as bad as I think it would be…” Fang Yu muttered to herself as she continued running away from the Golden River Kingdom.

Right now, she was using her powerful physique to propel herself forward.

Fang Yu did not dare to use any special abilities right now, as she knew that if she did so, she might alert the Massacre Hero whose going towards the Golden River Kingdom now.

Fang Yu knew that even if she does not use any special abilities, she can still reach extremely long distance as her body was extremely strong right now.

“Now then… where should I go?” Fang Yu mused to herself. “Hmph, since I do not know where to go, then I will just continue running away for 5 hours. I think that time is enough for me to be safely away from the Golden River Kingdom.”

And Fang Yu kept true to her words, as she spent the next 5 hours running away endlessly.

“Ugh…” Princess Christina woke up with a groan, feeling slightly uncomfortable.

She rubbed her bleary eyes as she thought to herself,

“Where am I?”

A sudden sound of crackling fire bought her attention, and she looked at the source of this sound.

“……”

Princess Christina could see a bonfire burning brightly in front of her.

With the light illuminating from this fire, Princess Christina saw that the sleeping bodies of Crown Prince Christiano and her little brother were huddled near the bonfire.

She let out a sigh of relief as she saw that they are not dead, only unconscious.

Princess Christina then blinked her eyes twice as she saw a figure hunched in front of the bonfire.

This figure was tending to the bonfire and now that she could see it, the Princess saw that there are some kind of fish that was being roasted above the bonfire.

The figure in front of the fire swiveled its head, as it seemed to have noticed Princess Christina’s awakening.

When Princess Christina saw the face of the huddling figure, she felt both happy and conflicted at the same.

The figure, who was actually Fang Yu, gave the Princess a smile as she said,

“Come, this fish is cooked already. Let’s enjoy our meal.”

Minutes later, and both the Crown Prince and the little Prince woke up.

Unlike the princess, who reacted calmly, both the Crown Prince and the little Prince let out shouts of fear as they backed away from Fang Yu.

It took another half hour of coaxing and explanations before the two could calm down.

“What the hell…” That was the only thing that the Crown Prince could say as he heard what his father and the other officials had intended to do. He then stood up with a determined expression on his face as he said,

“I am going back now. I will help my father out.”

Upon seeing this, Fang Yu stood up and blocked his path.

“Nope, nope, nope…” Fang Yu shook her head as she prevented the Crown Prince from going further. “I promised to your father that I will take care of you 3. So, I cannot allow you to go back on that dangerous place.”

“Seems like I can only go back once I defeat you first!” The Crown Prince bellowed as his body began to glow golden. “You may be the hero, but I think I can defeat you once I use the blessing given to me by the Golden Gourd!”

And to Fang Yu’s surprise, she saw a golden figure appearing behind the Crown Prince.

This figure was a Golden Boar, and its tusks were gleaming like gold as it stared at Fang Yu balefully.

The Crown Prince looked visibly pale as he gave Fang Yu a challenging look.

“Hero, if you can beat my Golden Boar, then I will stay here. But if not, then you will have no choice but to let me leave!”

“Ok, I accept that.” Fang Yu said as she looked at the Golden Boar with interest. “So that is the blessing you got from the Golden Gourd?”

“Yes, Hero.” The Crown Prince said as the Golden Boar started to paw the ground impatiently.

“The Royalty of the Golden River Family receives the blessing that allows them to manifest a golden guardian beast with them. The strength of this guardian beast depends on the mental strength of the person wielding it.”

The Crown Prince then pointed to his Golden Boar as she said,

“As you can see, this is my golden guardian beast. My sister and my little brother also had their own golden guardian beast, but mine is stronger compared to theirs.”

“Oh, so what will happen once I use the Golden Gourd?” Fang Yu asked as she sloshed the said object. “Will I also manifest a golden guardian beast?”

“Yes you will, Hero.” Princess Christina replied quickly. “And the records state that the golden guardian beast summoned by the Hero were always insanely strong!”

“Now that makes me excited!” Fang Yu exclaimed as she stared at the Golden Gourd with renewed interest. She then looked at the Crown Prince who was looking at the Golden Gourd with wariness.

Fang Yu immediately realized what the Crown Prince was thinking about.

Fang Yu gave the Prince a reassuring smile as she said,

“Do not worry Crown Prince, I will not use the abilities of the Golden Gourd right now. I will only use my body to defeat that Golden Boar. After all, I know that I will immediately win once I use the Golden Gourd.”

These words of Fang Yu managed to restore the confidence of the Crown Prince.

The Crown Prince then took a deep breath as he said,

“Then in that case, I won’t be gentle!”

After he said these words, the Golden Boar behind him let out a roar as it rushed towards Fang Yu, with its gleaming golden tusks pointed towards her.

The ground slightly rumbled as the Golden Boar used all of its momentum to pierce Fang Yu’s body!

“Boom!”

“Miss Hero!”

But instead of seeing a Hero Kebab, what the Crown Prince saw was different from that.

He saw that Fang Yu was still standing on her place, without any visible injuries on her body.

She seemed to be unruffled as she gave the Princess a reassuring smile.

As for the Golden Boar, it was currently laying down on the ground, with no signs of it moving.

There was a fist shaped indentation of the Golden Boar’s stomach, indicating that an extremely powerful punch landed on its gut, which contributed to its current state.

The Crown Prince shivered as he realized that Fang Yu’s punch was so strong that it managed to knock out his Golden Boar with just one hit!

“Oh, seems like its my win then.” Fang Yu said as the Crown Prince looked down sadly. “Just like what we have agreed earlier, you will stay here.”

“Sigh, with what the Crown Prince did with that golden guardian beast, now I also want to use the Golden Gourd…” Fang Yu muttered as she gazed at the Golden Gourd that she held.

After holding if for too long, Fang Yu realized that this gourd actually contained some sort of liquid inside it.

According to Princess Christina, this liquid was the purest form of water found in the Golden River.

Because of its extreme purity, it is extremely few but it is also powerful.

And only a container like the Golden Gourd can contain its power.

This power was so overbearing that nobody except for the hero can wield the power of the Golden Gourd and the liquid inside it.

According to the Princess, once Fang Yu activates the Golden Gourd, all the liquid inside it will transform to become Fang Yu’s golden guardian beast.

Just like the other 2 heroes, the abilities that Fang Yu will have from using the Golden Gourd will be much stronger compared to the Royalty.

As for the appearance of Fang Yu’s golden guardian beast, it will entirely depend on Fang Yu’s personality and attitude.

Fang Yu stared at the gourd for one more minute before she let out another sigh.

“If I use this now, I am sure that the shockwaves of me using it will attract the attention of the Massacre Hero… I cannot just risk it.”

Fang Yu decided to not use the Golden Gourd for security reasons obviously.

While she was as it, Fang Yu also realized that her strutting around in her current appearance would not do good.

“Hehehe… time for some diversion then!”

At first, Fang Yu thought of splitting herself into Fang Lin and Fang Yu, and then Fang Lin will go with the Princess and the other two while Fang Yu will be the decoy that will attract the attention of the Massacre Hero.

But Fang Yu scrapped this plan as she felt that she should still not split herself into two now, as she can still feel that the Future Timeline is still intact.

If she splits now, her female body will reappear back at the Future Timeline.

Fang Yu still has to wait for the Future Timeline to be erased before she can split up into two bodies safely.

Since that won’t work, and since she was far also enough from the Kingdom, then maybe she can use one of the abilities of her Heaven Grade Cores.

So Fang Yu closed her eyes as she connected with her Demonic Unicorn Divine Beast Core.

“Hehehe, all my power-ups made my cores better now…”

Because of everything that Fang Yu underwent at the future timeline, all the abilities of her cores improved, including the Illusion Power of the Demonic Unicorn Divine Beast Core.

Now, its Illusions will be much harder to distinguish and the sacrifice needed will be less harsher!

This time, Fang Yu decided to create an illusion of another her. Unlike last time which required her to temporarily sacrifice her libido, this time, Fang Yu just temporarily sacrificed some of her hard-earned money.

The Crown Prince and Princess Christina stared at the two Fang Yu’s with incredulity as they rubbed their eyes, as if they wanted to see if what they saw was actually true.

The original Fang Yu just shook her head amusedly at the two.

Illusion Fang Yu gave a nod to Fang Yu before running away from the area.

Illusion Fang Yu will be the one that will serve as bait. Since Illusion Fang Yu was extremely similar to the Original Fang Yu, the Massacre Hero will most likely chase her.

As for the Original Fang Yu, she of course would not stay looking like Fang Yu right now.

A few seconds passed by, the Original Fang Yu changed her appearance and body to Original Fang Lin.

By this point, Fang Lin’s companions were all slack-jawed, as they do not know how to explain what they are seeing right now.

Fang Lin started skipping lightly as a test to see if his male form had no complications.

Upon seeing that there are no problems, Fang Lin let out a relieved smile.

Fang Lin then stared at his shocked companions as he said,

“With the situation we have right now, the only thing that we can do is to go at that place.”

Fang Lin then looked up at the sky, which was currently pitch-black, with a few stars dotting its visage.

Fang Lin always liked looking at the sky at night, but the only thing that he could feel while looking at the night sky in this planet was a sense of isolation.

Fang Lin shook these errant thoughts in his head as he continued talking.

“And if you are curious right now, the place that I am talking about is of course the Evil Axis Continent!”
