Chapter 450: Accidentally Hearing

“Okay, with my current state right now, breaking through the Fourth Sub-Realm could be easy…” Fang Lin muttered to himself as he inspected his core. “It will all depend on how I will handle my breakthrough…”

While he was busy calming his mind, Fang Lin’s mind wandered as he remembered the important details of the Fourth Sub-Realm.

According to what Fang Lin remembered, the 1st-3rd Sub-Realms are all focused on strengthening the core, while the 4th-6th Sub-Realms are focused on increasing the power of the core.

The Fourth Sub-Realm, also called the Pulse Opening Sub-Realm, focuses on giving the core a pulse, which basically means giving life to the core.

Of course this does not mean that the core itself will be alive.

The core will be like the heart, something that pumps vitality throughout the whole body.

But why give life to a core?

Once the core was given life, it will gain vitality, which will just serve to increase its power and capabilities!

A core without life will be just like a machine that can only monotonously give power to the practitioner.

But a core with life will be leagues better than a lifeless core!

So how can a core be given life? The answer to that is just simple.

Anyone who observes any living beings can observe one thing similar among all of them.

Each living thing, no matter what kind of living thing it is, has to ‘breathe’ something in order to survive.

Humans, for example has to breath air, especially oxygen in order to live. Animals follow the same suit, as well as the magical beasts.

Even plants breathe too, though the compound they need to live is different.

Even monstrous beings that do not need air to survive will have to ‘breathe’ something else for them to live.

So if the living things do that, then the core must do that too!

But instead of air or other materials, what a core must breathe in is the Dao or the Law insights of the practitioner.

After all, the core of a practitioner was born from this practitioner’s insights.

For the insights to be used to give life to a core is just right.

And it is at this point that the Dao/Law Grade of a practitioner matters.

The higher the Grade of the Dao/Law is, the easier it is to breath life to the core.

If a lower Grade of a Dao or Law was used to give life to the core, there is a high chance that it will fail!

That is why practitioners with Mortal Grade Dao/Law almost finds it impossible to pass through the Pulse Opening Sub-Realm.

But Fang Lin was not perturbed by that, as his Dao and Law Grade has reached the Heaven Grade!

Before his breakthrough to the Third Stage, Fang LIn’s Dao and Law Grade was just at the Earth Grade.

But after his breakthrough to the Third Stage, the creation of his Nascent Souls, and all the experiences that he had in the future timeline, Fang Lin ‘s mind was opened as he gained insights that propelled his Dao and Law Grade to Heaven Grade!

Actually, it was the creation of the Dual Soul Domain that had greatly helped Fang Lin.

The power inside this ability was the one that helped improve Fang Lin’s Duality insight which led to the upgrade of his Dao/Law Grade.

With a Heaven Dao/Law Grade which is the Fifth Grade out of the Nine Dao/Law Grades, Fang Lin was sure that breathing life on his cores will be easy!

The only problem that Fang Lin had was that he had 13 cores, which will multiply his efforts on the Pulse Opening Sub-Realm by 13 times!

But even with this, Fang Lin was sure that he can breathe life into his cores within an hour, as he already have something in him to aid his breakthrough!

The problem in Pulse Opening Sub-Realm was that it was difficult to turn the Dao/Law insights into an object that can be used on the cores.

Most practitioners will take a long time, around days, just to turn their insights into something tangible that can be used to give life to the cores.

But Fang Lin had already solved this dilemma, as he had the Nascent Souls, which is the material manifestation of his insights!

With these Nascent Souls already tangible and containing Fang Lin’s Duality Insight, the only thing Fang Lin has to do is to use them to give life on his 13 cores!

“Hehehehe, now feel free to breathe it all in!” Fang Lin cackled happily as he started to place all of his 6 Nascent Souls in front of his 13 cores. “Do not be shy my little kids!”

With his enormous spiritual power, Fang Lin sliced a small portion out of his Nascent Souls, which he then turned into a gaseous type of substance that he gave to his cores.

“Hiss..” Fang Lin let out a slight his as the process of slicing off a part of his Nascent Souls was painful.

But this pain was within Fang Lin’s tolerable levels, so he just gritted his teeth as he persevered on.

To Fang Lin’s delight, he saw that all of his cores stared to form small pores which greedily sucked in the insights that he fed.

Upon seeing this, Fang Lin did not hesitate as he sliced off more and more parts of his Nascent Souls, which he continued to give on his cores.

Fang Lin was not worried on what he was doing, as his Nascent Souls can recover in time.

What matters more right now is for him to have his breakthrough!

“You little brats, come and wake up now!” Fang Lin hollered as he began to glare at his cores angrily.

“……..”

After 30 minutes of painful waiting, Fang Lin heard a sound which brought smile on his face.

“Thump, thump, thump, thump.”

This sound was like the sound of beating heart, but the objects making this sound was not a heart.

It was Fang Lin’s cores that was making this sound!

All of Fang Lin’s 13 cores were beating rhythmically, as they constantly sent out the Origin Core Energy inside them.

Fang Lin smiled as he felt that these cores were not the lifeless crystals that they were before.

Right now, these cores were comparable to Fang Lin’s organs!

With the cores gaining vitality, Fang Lin could feel that the power given out by his cores were way stronger than the power they gave before.

The difference between his current and former cores were like the distance between Heaven and Earth!

Fang Lin clenched his fist as he felt that aside from his cores, his body’s toughness and power also improved, as the power given by the improved cores had also tempered his body.

Fang Lin was sure that in his current state, he can easily win against Beleth if they were to face each other again!

Fang Lin’s eyes narrowed as he took a deep breath.

He then let out a smile as his body left his storage.

“Time to go back then…” Fang Lin muttered as he ran back towards the room of the Great General.

Fang Lin heaved a sigh of relief as he realized that there was nobody else in the room except for him.

He did not even detect any of Bai Huangdi’s divine sense inspecting the place.

“So that means Bai Huangdi and Princess Elissa are still doing it now, and that the Great General is still busy gathering the other Generals…” Fang Lin muttered as he sat on the sofa.

“In that case, I will just wait here…”

After making that decision, Fang Lin closed his eyes as he waited for the others to arrive.

While he was waiting, Fang Lin decided to check the status of Illusion Fang Yu.

Just like what Fang Lin wanted, Illusion Fang Yu was currently running throughout the central part of the Alliance Continent.

Hot on Illusion Fang Yu’s heels was a black-robed woman whose whole body was emitting murderous intent.

This woman was Veronica, who was Jieshu’s living follower!

She wore a savage smile as she continued to chase Illusion Fang Yu.

“What’s the matter, b**ch?” Veronica muttered as she continued on chasing after Illusion Fang Yu. “Why are you running? Come here and face me!”

“…..” Illusion Fang Yu chose to stay quiet as she continued on running while evading Veronica’s attacks.

“Argh!” Shouts of frustration could be heard from Veronica as she was extremely pissed with what was happening.

Fang Lin, who saw what was happening, let out a snicker as he realized that he was actually having fun on infuriating Veronica.

“Ok… I just have to continue on doing this until that woman gets tired…” Fang Yu muttered as he stretched his body.

It was at this point that Fang Lin’s ears could hear some faint moaning and grunting sounds.

If Fang Lin were a native of this planet, there is no way for him to hear these sounds.

But since Fang Lin was a practitioner, his senses were extremely powerful, thus he can pick up these alluring sounds.

“S**t, those two are still going at it!” Fang Lin muttered angrily as he cursed both Bai Huangdi and Princess Elissa in his mind.

“……” Of course, Fang Lin was slightly tempted to use his divine sense to see the progress of Bai Huangdi and Princess Elissa right now, but he cannot do that as Bai Huangdi will surely feel a divine sense inspecting him.

So the only thing that Fang Lin can do is to let out a sigh as he stabilized his foundation.

Fang Lin was also tempted to talk to Old Man right now, who was cowering inside his tablet.

But since he was in the range of Bai Huangdi, Fang Lin felt that it will be dangerous to talk to Old Man now.

“Hmph, I have to find a way to enter the Evil Axis Continent and separate from Bai Huangdi!” Fang Lin declared to himself as he heard footsteps going towards his room.

With his sharp ears, Fang Lin could detect that there was around 10-15 people coming towards him.

All of these footsteps sounded heavy, as if all of them were wearing armor.

“So the Generals have all arrived huh.” Fang Lin muttered as he consciously straightened his body.

Since he was the new General, there will be a chance that he will be challenged or looked down upon by the other Generals later.

Fang Lin hated inconvenient things like this, so he wished that his current looks will be imposing enough to deter any opposition to him later.

As for Bai Huangdi and Princess Elissa, they are still going right at it, with Fang Lin still hearing their moans and grunts.
