“Woosh~” The wind was whistling around Fang Lin’s ears as he ran freely through the plains.

“Ok, this should be far enough now...” Fang Lin muttered as he stopped running.

He then assumed a meditative pose as he closed his eyes.

“With the others still asleep, I think can try this out...” Fang Lin muttered with determination as he looked at the Golden Gourd in his hands.

Fang Lin gave the Golden Gourd a serious look as he said,

“I could reach Manifestation Sub-Realm with the help of this Golden Gourd!”

Fang Lin then looked around him just to make sure that nobody followed him.

Upon seeing that there is nobody approaching him, Fang Lin let out a sigh of relief as he started to observe the Golden Gourd.

Fang Lin’s goal tonight is to use the power of the Golden Gourd to help him on breaking through the Manifestation Sub-Realm.

The Manifestation Sub-Realm is the Fifth Sub-Realm of the Third Stage.

At this Sub-Realm, a practitioner can ‘manifest’ their core outside their body, making it stronger compared to before.

This ‘manifestation’ of the core is actually the projection of the core inside the practitioner’s body.

The real core of the practitioner is unable to leave the practitioner’s body, so it is still limited on the amount of energy that it can absorb from the environment.

Not only that, but the power of the abilities given out by cores are also weaker since they are inside the practitioner’s body.

But by ‘manifesting’ the projection of the core outside the body, the practitioner will receive more benefits compared to before.

This manifestation can absorb energy from the environment more efficiently for the core, and all the abilities from the core can be wielded through the manifestation of the core itself.

Of course this manifestation is not the real core itself, but just its ‘spirit’, so there are no danger of damage even if the manifestation was destroyed.

One can say that by manifesting the core, the firepower and efficiency of the cultivator would have increased drastically!

One more good thing about the Manifestation Sub-Realm is that it can be attempted even right after the Pulse Opening Realm, as the cores themselves are not that manipulated in breaking through the Manifestation Sub-Realm.

However, Fang Lin’s dilemma with this stage is that he was not sure on how to break through.

It was because even though one can quickly attempt to break through the Manifestation Sub-Realm, a powerful treasure must be used to force the manifestation to happen.

There is no way for a practitioner to just manifest the cores through his/her will alone.

In the practitioner world, there are many treasures like these that are being sold everyday, which allows anyone who needs them to use it.

But these treasures are just the normal manifestation treasures.

If a practitioner wants to have a better manifestation of his cores, then he/she must personally search for these treasures in some dangerous places.

Why are the quality of the manifestation treasures important?

It was because the better the quality of the manifestation treasure was used for breaking through, the better the quality of the manifested core will be!

A low-class manifestation treasure will allow the practitioner to manifest 10-30% of his core outside of his body.

This 10-30% of manifestation is like adding another 10-30% of the core, which will bring an increase of 10-30% to the overall power of the practitioner.

A middle-class manifestation treasure will allow the practitioner to manifest 40-60% of his core outside of his body.

This 40-60% of manifestation will increase the power of the practitioner by 40-60%.

A high-class manifestation treasure will induce a 70-90% core manifestation out of a practitioner. This in turn will result in an increase of the practitioner’s power by 70-90%

These increases in power might sound mediocre, but all these increases will apply even no matter how strong the practitioner was!

So if a practitioner can break 1 ton of steel with a punch, then his power will increase after he manifested his core. The same will also go for a practitioner that can break 10 tons of steel, or even 100 tons of steel.

But Fang Lin does not want to just breakthrough with these kinds of treasures, what he wanted to use for his manifestation was the Perfect Manifestation Treasure.

It was said that a Perfect Manifestation Treasure will induce a 100% core manifestation out of a practitioner!

That basically means that a practitioner’s power will be doubled after this using this treasure to manifest the core!

Fang Lin was already salivating as he imagined his already overbearing power suddenly being doubled with his 100% manifestation.

That will be fun!

However, finding a Perfect Manifestation Treasure is extremely hard, even for someone like Fang Lin.

Even his masters do not own any Perfect Manifestation Treasure.

Wang Hao and Old Man however both had high-class manifestation treasure, which they think could be enough for Fang Lin.

That was also what Fang Lin thought, until he received the Golden Gourd!

This may be just Fang Lin’s hunch, but he was extremely sure that the Golden Gourd is a manifestation treasure, given its ability to ‘summon’ a Golden Guardian Beast.

As for what type of manifestation treasure it was, Fang Lin was sure that this Golden Gourd can be at least a high-class treasure or maybe even a Perfect one!

The criteria to determine the class of a manifestation treasure is by knowing how solid its manifestation will be.

The less solid the manifestation was, the lower the class of the treasure was. Likewise, the more solid the manifestation was, the higher the class of the manifestation treasure will be.

And if the manifestation was purely solid, then that manifestation treasure will surely be a Perfect one!

And now, Fang Lin was about to test the quality of the Golden Gourd.

“How should I use this again...” Fang Lin murmured as he looked at the Golden Gourd with wonder.

“Ok, let me try channeling my Origin Core Energy in here.” Fang Lin thought as he immediately injected his Origin Core Energy on the Golden Gourd.

“Hong~” At the instant that this happened, the Golden Gourd began to tremble as golden light spilled out of it.

Once he saw this happening, Fang Lin decided to enter his storage along with the Golden Gourd. This way, nobody from the outside will see anything weird happening.

Once he was inside the storage, Fang Lin refocused his attention on the Golden Gourd, which began to suck more and more Origin Core Energy from him.

“Hmph!” Fang Lin then heard an irritated voice behind him, and there he saw Yao’er who suddenly left his shadow.

Yao’er was glaring at the Golden Gourd as she said,

“I hate that glowing thing in front of me! I do not like it!”

“Uh, sorry about that...” Now that Fang Lin could see it, Yao’er’s attribute and the Golden Gourd’s attribute seems to be the opposite.

Yao’er is affiliated with darkness while the Golden Gourd was affiliated with light.

“Can you at least be courteous to this gourd?” Fang Lin said as he ruffled Yao’er’s hair. “With me holding it, there is no way for it to hurt you.”

“Hmph, we shall see!” Yao’er muttered as she casted the Golden Gourd with her glares.

“Oh here it comes...” Fang Lin said as he saw that the Golden Gourd seemed to be entirely full already.

All the golden light spilling out of the Golden Gourd started to converge until all of them were gathering at the mouth of the Golden Gourd, which was blocked by a stopper.

All this golden light then forced the stopper open, and it continued doing so until the stopper flew off with a bang.

Once this has happened, all the golden liquid inside the Golden Gourd went out, and once they are out, they immediately wriggled as they took shape in front of Fang Lin.

“Oh, so that is how it is...” Fang Lin muttered with interest as he looked at the golden liquid in front of him.

“So the Golden Gourd is holding the golden liquid inside it, and once I activate the Golden Gourd, it will release the golden liquid inside it, and this golden liquid will transform into my Golden Guardian Beast...”

While watching the transformation state of the Golden Gourd, Fang Lin then remembered something with his past encounters.

“When I first met Yao’er... she was still a baby.”

“As for Tang Li, she was also a baby.”

“Then there is that little sister of Wang Hao, who is like a child.”

“Then there is that Jorm, which technically is a baby too.”

He continued on chanting this mantra until he saw that his Golden Guardian Beast had manifested now.

Once all the golden light was gone, Fang Lin looked at his Golden Guardian Beast, and he could not help but curse out once he saw what he got.

“I said I do not want a baby, but do you really want to go this extreme?”

Fang Lin’s Golden Guardian Beast was fortunately not a baby, but Fang Lin was not sure if he should be happy with what he got.

Fang Lin’s Golden Guardian Beast was an old woman, who held a cane to stop herself from falling down.

Her skin was sallow, and some of the old woman’s teeth were missing. Most of her hair was gone, as only a handful of them remained on top of her head.

Her thin body and sunken face made her look like she is about to die at any moment.

She was constantly trembling, as if a mere pause will be enough to rob her of her life.

Fang Lin’s sigh of resignation overlapped with Yao’er’s sigh of relief as both of them thought to themselves,

“At least that Old Man will have someone at his age range now...”
