“You are clearly going too far in this Li Daozi!” At this moment, the Emperor did not appear to be amicable anymore. She stood up as she approached Li Daozi imperiously. Every step of hers seems to tremble with her fury. Once she was in front of Li Daozi, she said in cool voice,

“Would you care to say the real solution you have? No more joking ok?”

“What I said was all true!” Li Daozi shouted indignantly. The Emperor barely managed to stop herself from putting her palm on her forehead. She managed to calm herself within a millisecond. She then looked at Fang Yu as she stated,

“You want to be my hostage for a week, just to ensure a mutual trust on this matter?”

“Yes!” Fang Yu nodded vigorously. “I knew that you do not trust such ridiculous requests. But you know that this could be a chance to prevent a tragic outcome. But you have no choice but to ignore it because it is the proper thing to do.”

Fang Yu then took a deep breath as she continued.

“If you do not trust us, I can swear with my soul to be your personal servant if any of the requests that the Grand Elder had not bearing!”

“Fang Yu!”

“Sis!”

Li Daozi and Tang Li clearly knew that Fang Yu had risked it all just to ensure that the meeting becomes successful. If the Emperor still disagrees, then there is nothing more that can be done.

“Personal servant huh. Well then, I accept your promise!”

“Really?”

“Yes, but the best that I can grant is only the part with Wang Hao. As for the other two...... you all better forget about it! This meeting is dismissed!” All the 8 patriarchs stood up as they bowed towards the Emperor.

The Emperor continued to let out all of her pent-up complaints upon Fang Yu. She only calmed down after half an hour.

“Are you okay now, Your Majesty?”

“Do not call me your Majesty, call me Master!” The Emperor seemed to regain her vigor as she looked at Fang Yu. “You know, I am pretty sure that after you make your oath, your fate as my personal servant shall be sealed.”

She successfully made her soul oath. Should even one of Li Daozi’s requests fail to help the Empire, she will be the Emperor’s personal servant. Now, Fang Yu can only wish that Li Daozi was not high at that time.

But before Fang Yu could leave, she saw that the Emperor seemed to be pondering on something. She was cupping her chin as if she was deep in thought. A few seconds passed, and she stood up readily. She seemed to have come to an important decision.

“I have decided. I am going to join you, Fang Yu, on your trip!”

“Wait what!” Even Fang Yu knew that it was nigh impossible for the Emperor to avoid her duties. “But what about your duties Your Majesty!”

Tang Li, being the mischievous child she is, suddenly appeared in front of the Emperor as she said,
